Highlights:
Toronto Wolves and the Seoul Magpies played in a 325 point thriller last year, a result that ultimately determined who made the finals and who didn't, with the Wolves finishing in 8th spot 0.67% ahead of the 9th placed Seoul Magpies. Can the Magpies get revenge? The Wolves won in round 1, but wouldn't be pleased with its scoring effort, while the Preseason premiers the Magpies dropped dramatically to a disappointing loss to the Royals.
Last year's grand finalists the Cobras take on the top-of-the-table Brewers in a match that could shape the season for both. The Brewers will demand respect if they take out a premiership favourite, while the Cobras can't afford to go 0-2 down early in the year.
Moscow were very solid in round 1 and look a smokey for top 4. The Royals had the nerve to hold off the Magpies last week, but punters will doubt 2 wins a row here.
Could this match decide the wooden spoon? Amazing to say this early in the season, but the Warriors and Tigers were very poor last week. The good news for them both is that one of them will win! Or at least draw.
Armadillos started shakey last week but stormed home to a mammoth 169 with many of its stars sitting on the sidelines. The Sands were scratchy last week and know that they will need everything to go right to upset one of the premiership fancies.
The Pumas and Bears shapes up to be one of the mis-matches of the year, and I can't see the Bears getting close to a Puma side looking to atone.
Tokyo were very solid in round 1 and would fancy themselves going 2-0 up against an Islanders team still finding its feet in the post c4 world.
Things don't get much easier for the poor Destroyers, who were solid last week against the Armadillos. There reward? Take on the reigning premier! A danger game for the Suns, but they should prevail barring disaster.
The Revolution comes home to America this week, but don't expect any gifts this time from PNL, who are desperate to get a win on the board.

No I entered it on the siren; either your telecast is slow or your internet is slow.
Ah, Dammit. Oh well, it can wait a couple days now lol
Gee you guys are keen :P Hope that doesn't happen every week though, it's a bit much. Perhaps just give points to teams that post on the Sunday then as the days go on the point reward is less and less?

No Beams will hurt and Stanley's absence will also have a negative impact. We've decided Malceski will score better than Gibson will this week, here's hoping that call is right and pays off. Big Mumford gets the C and Armitage assumes to role of VC. Gonna be a real challenge this week against the Armadillos.

in hind sight wouldn't of mattered to much if i did quote
ok question being
when we do post our team for next week and then need to change/edit etc
would you like us to quote from our last posting of it?
got it out eventually...lol

Teams are locked and loaded rb, no loophole!
Dylan Grimes, Daniel Jackson, Shane Edwards and Jack Steven. Strike One. Don't ask what happens at strike 3, all you need to know now is that you don't want it to happen. Need and more importantly expect a lot more from you 4 in big games like these. Disappointing.
On the other end of the scale, great performance by Reece Conca! Sorely needed.

Friday Night Highlights:
- Big start from Wolf Jack Riewoldt, booting 7 goals to top the scorers last night.
- But the Magpies have also started strong, with strong scores from Ruckmen Ben McEvoy and Captain Brett Deledio
- Cobra VC Cotchin continues a strong start to the season
- Brewer Conca scores a century, saving Berlin from an embarrasing first night
- Usual Suns century from Captain Mullet and veteran Nick Riewoldt
Lowlights:
- Clinton Jones is first emergency for the Wolves, and would love an opportunity after a massive 116 in the reserves
- Disastrous effort from Spetsnaz captain Shane Tuck
- Sub-50 scores from Reindeer Maister, Brewers Jackson and D Grimes, Magpie Geary, Destroyer Rance and the Revolutions Siposs

Nah. That's it, Cape Town has got it. Melbourne brigade has failed, like they usually do.

I feel genuinely sorry for you Purps! And every other loyal Melbourne supporter.
Watson starred for me tonight, definietly should've made him captain! #hindsight
Pittard and Heath handy also. Making my backline look not so shabby!
And let's not get into Sylvia. Always knew I should've drafted J Riewoldt over him in the draft 2 years ago :P

Going to be a very interesting day tomorrow! Both captains and several of the best from each of the two teams going up against each other...Another game that will go down to the wire. HG adv. could decide this one.
Great work from Pyke, Heppell and Liberatore today has kept us in it.

hey oss a question for you

i like the idea and have been updating but i notice now game from last night have been changed slitly to what i had and you had in your mini write up's
i know it all fixes up at the end anyways so does this not marr too much i take it?

After North vs Cats, Grima loses 15 points for his free at the end :(, Cunners disappointing and Swallow good as always. Ziebs pretty good. Also added Jones emg for Young.
Wolves - 847/10
Magpies - 1067/11
McLean and Jolly 5 between them at the start of the last quarter cost me the game. Unlucky but what can you do!
Pendles x2 - 242
Robbo - 75
McLean - 35 :(
Jolly - 1 :(
= 1200 with Butler to come
Yarran - 85
Gibbs - 86
Macaffer - 60
= 1297 with JJK to come
Butler doing well in his Wolves debut but unless he scores 70 more than JJK in the second half I'm in trouble.
I'm sure I've made some adding mistakes but either way I'm done.
Looks like I would have been alright if McLean and Jolly did have the luck they did! McLean sub really shocked me and not much you can do re Jolly.
You know what has showered me to tears this week? (other than melbourne)
That I have had EIGHT players in my starting XV who scored less than 70, and SIX players score over 80 in my reserves!
Sigh, not a good day.

Yeah, slight changes doesn't matter
Been a weird round this one
Officially, I have had 10 players, with one more yet to be completed, play for my reserves.
2 (looking like three) have scored less than 72.
Makes it easier to drop Melbourne players next week though! lol
btw oz, would you know what is the highest ever reserves score? I'm currently on 749 lol

Fantastic work yet again Oss!
And the first win to the Cobras, wooo! Dwyer has put his hand up for selection next week, and could have a chance with poor scores from a few of our forwards.
Too strong for me in the end, but I can't help but feel we squandered a real chance to beat a premiership contender! Just didn't get a 15 man performance, instead, we got a 7 - man performance, and that's being generous.
I WILL NOT TOLERATE POOR PERFORMANCES! :o
Changes will be made Brewers, not good enough. Injuries will be had on the training track this week. You have to expect this in our culture.
Nonetheless, well done Cape Town. Your midfield were just way too strong for my Brewers, and the elite individual performances should be recognised within your group. :)

lol hence me saying I had no idea. Last time I checked we were losing :-[
Yeah, you probably weren't expecting a 5 goal haul from Jamie Elliott
Pretty disappointing performance from my team this week, lucky I was playing a rubbish team or I could have been in trouble. Although actually looking back through the scores I think only 4 teams scored more so maybe a bad round for all??
In brighter news Roberton looked impressive on the weekend in the reserves and looks like he really wants to get himself back in the starting XV, Houli was disappointing and could lose his spot to Roberton this week. Zaharakis also performed well and looks like he is getting back to full fitness, which means a return to the Pumas could be in his near future. Whilst Minson is looking unstoppable at the moment :)
If only we had played Wingard/McPharlin :'(. Intense match from the sounds of it though :o.
Great work, nearly my whole team tonned up :)
Not looking forward to playing them this week :(
