Hanley's performance and score was the best thing to happen to Cairo this week! We're proud! 8)
hmm maybee i wasnt over hyping omeara.
What a gun, will be making team of the week soon.
Wow.
Not a single Armadillo in the team of the week. Shows just how much of a team effort it was by the toys this week.
Correction
My apologies to Jaeger O'Meara - has had his nomination removed (I'm sure it is only a matter of time). The site I get my info from had not updated from the Sunday games (and I didn't notice). O'Meara's 120 score was pipped by....
New Delhi's AARON MULLETT who scored 122.
Membership points have been adjusted also....

happy to go down to a roo, doesnt matter omeara will probably get it next week.
I'm sure he will get one barring injury! But Viney and Whitfield look pretty good also for one next week (though they play each other in round 4, that's probably when one will get it!)
MULLETT! Get ready for a Rising Star Award! :D
Rising Star
Congratulations to Wellington's JAKE NEADE for receiving the rising star nomination this week! Neade score 76 and has been one of the few shining lights for the Warriors.
(Note: Destroyer Jed Anderson, Spetsnaz Jack Hutchins and Royal Thomas Young all scored higher than Neade this week, but none of those 3 played seniors this week)

Not much to smile about for New Delhi, but they can at least smile about being the first team to have two rising star nominations this year with GEORGE HORLIN-SMITH's 105 clincing the nomination.
(Note Cairo's Michael Evans scored higher than Horlin-Smith, but was not playing seniors this week)
Team of the Week
Buenos Aires flavour here!

Didn't draft, traded for ;).
Nice to see a PNL player in Westhoff making the team quite a bit early this season 8).
Rising Star
As Holzman predicted... JAEGER O'MEARA takes home the rising star for Dublin this week. This guy is a star, with a 119.

Armadillos - 2nd highest score of the round. Not a single player in the team of the week.
Shows what a great team my boys are. They all believe in putting in their most for the team and don't want to be individual stars.
We're definitely proud of Evans, wasn't our worst at all. Could be seeing more games in the future.

Going to give Hayden a run at it this week -- Hopefully he can score 90+ again. 8)
Rising Star
New Delhi get there third rising start in 7 rounds! As Nick Valstuin's 105 is good enough to score him the gig.

Strange looking team with some lesser lights!
Ibbo makes the team, first NDT player to do it this season. Also go our rookies! Vlasty, GHS & Mullett doing the team proud!
Have the captain in the team of the week :') proudest moment of my life
Rockliff gets named in the team of the week forward line for the second time. Up the Islanders!
Wow Steven! My first representative this year with 150!
Nick Riewoldt you star, 3 consecutive team of the weeks!
2 weeks in a row, 2nd top score for the round. 2nd in a week with no team of the week players. Such a great team effort at the Armadillos.
Stellar effort from Chris Newman I reckon, very proud of his effort!
Rising Star
(qualification = AFL Rising Star criteria apply, and have to actually have played in the round for a WXV team)
Well done to Beijing's Jackson Thurlow - the Bears second nominee for the year - after scoring 85!
(Thurlow was beaten by Tokyo's Jesse Lonergan, New York's Jackson Macrae, Seoul's Jack Newnes, Pacific's Anthony Miles and the team less Jimmy Webster, but none of those played seniors this week)

A long way behind him at thus stage omeara has played every game and almost averaging 95.
SAM KERRIDGE :-*
Surely he's a shoo-in for this week's nomination? 8)
As predicted! Sam Kerridge's 143 becomes Beijing's 3rd nominee, and 2nd in a row! Wonderful match in a score that gets him a team of the week gong also.
Team of the Week
Kerridge aside, largely filled with usual suspects

My boy Richard Douglas makes the Team of the Week. Wooooooo! ;D
Hibberd! You legend.
Second highest score of the round and just the one player in team of the week. Pretty solid effort by my players then :
Also noticed this was a rather low scoring round considering the highest score was just 151 by Mexico!
Highest score of the round and no players in. Beat that CF ;)

Rising Star
Rising Star for round 10 is.... the sun of a gun... Pacific's first nomination... scoring 87... TOM MITCHELL!
(London's Rory Laird, Moscow's Jack Hombsch, PNL's Marley Williams and Pacific's Tom Nicholls all scored more, but all played reserves this week)

Some familiar faces amongst that lot, with the Aarons Black and Mullett continuing there great year.
Feels good to be hired as the coach again. It had been too long.
2 dublinites in the sqaud is good to see, what not is 3 ex dublin players.
I let the wrong one go in Barlow, im stuck with an older worse player in mundy.
Hibberd again!
What a beauty, I remember I tried to trade him a few times last year, but gee, thank god everyone thought he wasn't worth much lol, I was probably among them I admit.
Tom Mitchell - he won't be going anywhere! Future of Pacific :D
Aish...?
Tough choice Jaybro! :P ;)

Hopefully we'll get a few more on the board, Benny Kennedy looked good last week!
my backline is my weakness this year however the list of ex dublin defenders is amazing. Definately shouldnt have traded out some of these guys and put too much faith in my youth.
Ellis
Malceski
Burgoyne
Thompson
I keep seeing being named in the team of the week, very depresing.
The barlow to watts move was a socher, not only did i lose one of the best Scers in the comp I was too confident in my backline and traded out Thompson one of the best defenders in the comp.

How was Rouhgy not selected in any of the teams? :o
I swear Boyd was named for Vic Country. ??? I thought I saw him in the emergencies Toga gave me. I changed it when Travis Boak said to be out. Ah well, not that it matters. :P

Oh flower me. The preference order in which the emergencies were named. ::) There was also roughly a 90 point differences between McEvoy's and Roughy's scores and roughly 70 points difference between Golby's and Boyd's score which would have got us over the line and got both Roughy and Boyd TOTW honours. :'(

Vic Metro ruckman Tom Nicholls has not yet made his WXV debut, but takes away the rep round nomination with a solid 76. Perhaps the Pacific Islanders will take notice?

Does Hunter get a shot or do someone actually name Nicholls?
Hunter got 86 not bad on debut
Yeah, Nichols played for Vic metro :)

Hunter will get it soon, problem is my midfield and utility is pretty good at the moment.

I: R Bastinac (New Delhi), Brad Ebert (Mexico City)

That's a very strange looking team! Only Griffen and Dangerfield frequent fliers, and good to see someone else other than the big 3 getting the coaching gig!
Haha go Michael Talia! Was great to find out we own him lol ::) :P
Will probably become a regular now his coaches have become aware of his presence ;D
Might have to play Johannisen next week against Tokyo just to get him a rising star nomination. :P Dogs vs Melbourne, I like his chances.

Waited all season for this, was the reason I gave up barlow for him.
New coach who plays him propoerly and he goes 85 139(albiet against weak opposition). The test this week is agasint sydney 75+ and im happy.
Also Hunter subbed, thats annoying he will probably pick up a nomiantion some time soon.
Butler! That's a surprise I'll give him that haha. Has been a shining light in an ordinary defence, my Bewick for Butler trade looking OK at the moment!

Some comments about the 2013 WXV rising star.
Tim Watson
"Jaeger O'Meara could quite well go down in history as the greatest midfielder that's ever played the game," Watson said on Melbourne radio station SEN on Monday morning.
"He is unbelievable. You've got to keep reminding yourself that here is a kid in his first season of AFL football at 18 years of age. He has it all.
"I'll stand corrected if that doesnt happen"
Maybe Crouch will have a shot at getting the nomination next week, seeing as he may just play after his 114 :o
Will be Berlin's first for the year if he does :P
Had a look at my player's eligible for the WXV rising star, (and I would choose a club rising star for the club award out of this lot), and I have no one deserving lol
Brad Crouch and Josh Saunders are the only ones out of this lot to play an AFL game, and neither of them are deserving of the award.... YET.
Hopefully Crouch can cement a spot in the final weeks!
Hunter kills it (not eligible as bye round :( )
gets subbed
than dropped
its Docherty all over again

just turned 25 too, would have to be the most valuable or second most valuable ruck in the game.
if you want him put in a big offer, he is tipped to go top 10 in the new Supercoach draft game.
Haha I don't want him. Got Minson who has got a couple of years left before losing any value, Jacobs who is also only 25 and will rediscover his better form when Adelaide start winning again, then got Roughy who can play ruck if needed, plus got Daw who had 50 hit outs and 20 possessions in the VFL on the weekend.

What was his efficient, and when were his disposals? 24 touches for 64 points is tough!
Hill had 70.8 DE, 21 UCP with only only 4 CP and also 4 clangers, that would explain his SC.

he is a winger. this is why i dont like SC sometimes it takes alot of effort running into space to get uncontested possessions. Just because you cant get away from your opponent and have to get contested possesions why should you be punished.
Im a winger and it annoys me, if i put in alot of effort in a game i rack up the UP, I had a cold once did no running at all and couldnt get away from my opponent, got my record contested possessions though.
