Starting to regret the decision not to start with Viney would have to bring him in soon if he keeps this up.

Why didn't anyone talk Viney up much? I'm a White Goodman for getting stuck with Mitchell on field and not even having Viney.

kid is a superstar. would have gone top 2 in the draft i think everyone knew that  :P

already played senior footy as an underaged player

get him in !

pittard on the other hand i wish i had benched and started heath but stevenson performing as expected, not starting neade but not unhappy with him either for a toothpick :)

jones i also have and he looks a good pick if he can hold his spot, but when blease is fit one mid has to go to make way for him....

toumpas i reckon ?  or jones :(

hartlett is looking like a must also, dominant port midfielder who kicks goals not a bad guy to slot into your defence?

More than likely will bring in Hartlett next week for Goddard still unsure how Heppell got in my team when I had Hammer the entire pre season.

no one talked Viney up, everyone spoke Mitchell up. My team is so bad,  how did I get sucked in #no Viney. My team should be good, but I've lost out on like every 50/50 decision

#ebert #hopehegunsit

How good is Brad Ebert? Imagine if he was in a top 4 team now. Better than when he was at his old club.

I had Viney for quite a while actually, traded him out when he didn't play NAB. Not sure what I was thinking, didn't realise how popular he was. This will wreck my entire season now. Oh well. If I knew he was so popular :o I needed to look at other's teams more

redden is dominating in the ruck, scoring shower in DT but his SC would be great every hitout to advantage, impressive...

Having Mitchell sub is the worst call of the season so far. He's almost their best player. Ebert, HH and Boak the only players I Rate ahead of him. Absolute superstar.

That 2000 is looking all that much harder with Mitchell sub; unless he can get subbed on at half time, I'll be lucky to make 1900-1950, unless Swanny destroys.

Am happy with the debuts (so far) of Stevenson, Pittard and Wines (all on my ground), while Viney and Neade (on my bench) have both shown good signs.

Wouldn't mind seeing Pittard with a bit more run off half back too.

none of the DT Talk boys had Viney on their team in the cheat sheet.

Damn it. How did I miss him? I knew he was f/s jet but didn't play NAB which is what I watch for my rooks.

Hope I can win the 50K from outside 100K after rd 1 lol

And Stevenson
Title: Re: Port Adelaide vs Melbourne discussion thread
Post by: Colliwobblers on March 31, 2013, 03:31:44 PM
i agree with you on Mitchell.

i have viney on the field in all comps except sportal and supercoach where wines got hte gig ahead of him. but not next week kid is a dead set star.

at least i own him in every comp, just not smart enough to start him in every comp. still wines could still catch up to him the way port are playing.

question is who comes off for blease? toumpas or jones (matt) i own him to but on my bench.

good signs the 3 port defenders most us have are all doing well enough for rooks and in a winning team, should all score as well or better when the ball in in their back line more?

hartlett is a gun sure, but was his shoulder sore as he came from the field at half time, can he stay fit? does it matter with 44 trades?

redden has been solid in the ruck, may be SC relevant but still irrelevant in DT.

shulz another one who could be a gun player if he stays fit and monfries is ok as is byrnes and pettard of those mid priced options, none of which i have.

happy with neade on my bench

watts on 9 is disgraceful, guy could be a star not sure what he is doing, should be loose in the backline should be racking them up???

howe will be a star, will DECOY dawes return help him further.,,?

you'd be disappointed if you owned jack grimes but after goddard and heppell not doing much worse really is he?

@ Nails -s orry had no time to do my DT Detective thread this season or I would have revved viney up - you need to buy a prospectus next season, if you read the write up on viney, as soon as he was named round 1 you wouldn't have considered not having him.

but i agree and as i said above based on wines nab cup form i DID start him in several comps where i had a deeper premium midfield INSTEAD of viney....

still DT 44 trades, nothing is irreparable  - looking at you danger

Toumpas - 4 disp at 50%
Matt Jones - 12 disp at 92%

don't think Jones will be subbed

seems that way, but if the game is lost it might be better to get the minutes into toumpas?  still not like toumpas hasnt played senior footy himself either, just struggling to get involved, more likely his role than his ability to be fair

If Toumpas' next two possessions are effective, his DE will already be above Ablett's for 2013 :P

I'm worried about Viney getting subbed.

Colli Redden is only on 29 SC at halftime.

that shocks me are you watching the game? he has won just about every hit out and all to advantage, hence the clearance differential...

he has towelled jamar up commentators agree with me, although jamar wins the most taps by far, the ones redden has been in he has won and HIS are to advantage. SC is stitching him up! not that i would have him just thought he would be doing well

@ the GRIMES comments = yeah he stood up that quarter, a captains quarter, not much he can do to turn the whole team effort around but at least he has put in 110% which is what we expect of him.

Viney- M Jones - Grimes BOG for Dees, howe too but he hasnt had much of it up there...
Title: Re: Port Adelaide vs Melbourne discussion thread
Post by: Doggoneit on March 31, 2013, 04:16:23 PM
hmmmm

the Dees look worse than last year - is that possible?

good signs for Port though - still making some mistakes and bad decisions but the desire to win the ball is 2nd to none. As long as they have the desire they can fix the skill errors - could upset a few teams this year.

We could deffinetly have 9 wins within the first 11 rounds with 7 games to play at home after our bye and a match against GWS and hosting Brisbane, Suns and Carlton at home we could win all 4 of the games taking it to 13 wins for the season pulling in one or two upsets over the year could leave us with 15-16 wins which could be enough for top 4.

Get around!

Beating a team by nearly 100 points away from home and their best 22 in. Winning against another wooden spoon favourite at home will be easy

Plus Gray may return and Carlile could as well.

We are not the same team as last year

Viney and Wines will both get a nomination through out the year because the selectors will see them playing consistent footy
