Title: Richmond v Carlton Discussion Thread
Post by: essendon2 on March 28, 2013, 08:44:52 PM
Here we go!!!! Personally, I've only got Gibbs in this - but many teams have the likes of Kreuzer, Maric, Lids, Cotchin, Newman, Robbo and of course DMarts.

Wondering if the blues will continue their strategy of tagging Deledio.

Seems to be fixed now. And I know it's early days, but I'm quite happy with Kreuz (36, and 1st quarter's not even finished!), Murphy, Gibbs, Dustin and Lids.

Far out

1st of all my internet goes bung today because of rubbish telstra...so I cant get in KLucas - I was waiting to see if he got the vest - I had him out just in case

Now Robbo goes and suffers an unfortunate concussion and gets subbed, guaranteeing Lucas a full game

Stupid dumb...I put Robbo in my team last night as I seen he was named on the wing...swapped him with Zorko

Condolences to Robbo...hope he is ok

i think i said somewhere he was a 100% chance of injuring himself....

but hard as nails he may be back in 2nd half but at worst be back next week. still a good pick, i changed him to maric late, but only due to ruck fear :)  robbo will be a top fwd this season, tough break for your round 1 tho..

murphy plaing a LOT better and scoring a LOT better playing fwd than in the midfield ???

love dusty - but can we get some consistancy this season....

think if kruze is #1 ruck week in week out he is a top ruck in the comp. gun really especially with new rules, maric still solid.

who is this vickery character  :o

ROBBO SUBBED OUT.

Such a shame there aren't more forward rookies, because upgrading in the forward line will be the way to go. Dale Thomas played 70% of game time today in the reserves and looks good for round 2. Stevie J is an upgrade target, and now Robbo will be cheap after round 3!

Cotchin looking the goods to go 110+, Murphy faded in the 2nd quarter. Maric looking pretty good but as is Kreuzer, one of these two could be an early upgrade target for me. Martin doing his usual 50 points first half effort, now for the 20 point second half to register his usual sub-standard score...

martins problem is his tank, which was supposed to be filed up over the preseason, apparantly he still can't run out games.

looks like a relatively early sideways trade, i'll give him a few weeks but can't see him reaching the required level again this season.

hype doesn't equal performance, this is the case with martin sadly.  so much potential tho!

Dusty's "tank" had nothing to do with the fadeout. He is one of the fittest at the club.
His problem was that the whole team stopped in the 2nd half and he spent most of the 2nd half in the forward line

But yeah, happy with my score considering but pissed I bought Rob in with 4 mins before lockout ::)

374/5.

Goddard - 71
Duffield - 67
Cox - 82
Robbo - 21
Gibbs - 133

Shocking round so far, hoping a couple of my St Kilda uniques can really fire to give me a bit of an edge...

Not bad for a robbo owner.

Gibbs x2
Watson
Cox
Goddard
Robbo

Robbo is out of the squad probably for jjk.

That's a smart trade, particularly if Lake doesn't pull up for Hawthorn.

Peoples thoughts on Deledio's quiet night. What do people think of Robbo into Wright?

What other premium forwards do you have?

FWDS: COX, ZORKO, ROCKLIFF, ROBINSON, KARNEZIS, MACAFFER, NEADE, DWYER

Hmm, Wright was very good last week, but I'd personally be going to Franklin or Bartel as I see them both as top 8 forwards.

Your call though, if you think Wright can average 90+ from here on in, get on him. :)

Knew Kreuz is set for a big year. Looked agile and lot leaner than last year IMO.

I think I'll keep Robbo.

As for Deledio I did point out he has tonned up once agasint Carlton EVER?

That makes 12 consecutive games of sub 100 Vs Carlton.

Lids looked terrible, couldn't get the ball when Richmond needed him and without 3 Goals he was hurrendous

Lol whats going on why are people so keen of getting rid of robbo after one poor injury effected performance. I know I will be holding onto him as I backed him in to be one of the highest scoring forwards and I still believe he will be. The only reason I'd consider trading him after round 1 was if he tagged all game and got 30 or something.

572/7 which seems about par  :-\
Goddard 71
Kommer 60
Cotchin 101
Robbinson 21
Murphy 103
Gibbs 133

Would have been happy if robbo got an 80 but oh well not too bad,

MY flowerING SEASON IS OVER!!!!

Do I keep him or trade him? If I trade him I look like a bish after talking him up all pre-season

or do I keep him? Before 4th Qtr I was definitely trading him, but he DID score 31 pts in the 4th quarter...

I reckon trade Golby to a safer option to minimize the damage.

304/4 for me. Robbo in there.

Gone with the general picks with Cox, Godd & Gibbs. So pretty keen for my proven unique to come in smash it.  :P

- Not as unique as Mclean.

-> 2.5 %

More people have Bennell & Barlow.  :o

I'd get rid of him Nails. He won't be a top 10 midfielder, so he's not really worth it at that price.

Murphy would've been a much better option at pretty much the same price as McLean, he's a proven 110+ average.

BUT... you have backed him in all pre-season, so mabye give him one more week?

onya Bootsma, shower all night - and just cost them the game.
quick shout out to JRoo who was a hack all night too.

but congrats on Richmond for winning.. almost another absolute meltdown.

3. Gibbs
2. Cotchin
1. Kreuzer

Jroo played a great team game!! Did exactly what he needed to!

think people should stick by dusty at least for another week... we wanted to win the game last night so went for experience - next week if Knightsy or Az Edwards come in, I think Dusty will get a lot more time in the midfield than he did last night.

he was about as good as Hampson = was a target... didn't kick any goals. He kept bagging out Carlton players that are significantly better than him (e.g Gibbs and Judd). He also was having a go at his own players for not passing to him (JRoo kicks 75% of his goals from <20m out

6/509... Fcking Robbo...

Goddard :-\, Heppell :-\, Cox :), Barlow :D, Gibbs ;D, Robbo >:( ::)

My man Robbo WILL leave my team next week :(

I don't get why people are so down on Heppell and Martin, both scored only 10 points less than what their price indicated they should average. And in terms of price to scoring, Heppell actually outperformed Cox!

As for me, got hurt a lot by my choice of Bellchambers over Kruezer, and due to work I somehow missed the fact that Ricky Petterd didn't even get picked! Here's hoping Macafer plays!

Keep Nails. You backed him in all pre-season.

Thinking of trading Robbo because his upcoming fixture is horrendous (always had a plan in mind for him after this week anyway) and considering how long he was out for I expect he will have a fight on his hands to prove his fitness for next week.

Certainly creates an early headache though :-\

Anyone notice that both Morris & Ellis scored less last night than in round 1 last year? The supposed breakout defenders - Ellis, Baugely, Hibberd - didn't really impress thus far.

Yeah he looked pretty shaky last night, don't know if it was nerves or what...
