All teams will be playing for this Shield throughout the season.

Simple rules to apply

1. Lowest scoring team each week eliminated. Safeguard being team finishing first the previous week can not be limited prior to Round 10.  In these cases second lowest scoring Team will be eliminated.

Round 1 has passed

Results

Whatlez (Bradford Badgers) has a get out of Jail card for next week as leading scorer for the week.

Picker_man (Crosby Cruisers) has been eliminated as lowest scorer for the week

Nearly 800 points difference between Top and bottom scorer.  See if we can close the gap this week.

Bradford has scored more points than you this season.I would imagine that's all there is to it.

Should have qualified the system used.

This is the countback system being used in event of ties:
Countback system being used if Teams finish equal on AFL points.
1. Total Points scored before conversion
2. Total Points scored for season to date.
3. %

In this case both Badgers and Magic finished with 133.
They both had Total points of 1332
So going to next criteria - Bradford Badgers have scored 972 points and the Magic 896.  So the higher scoring team remains in the competition.

Was not really expecting to finish with identical points and having to go to next level.

Administrators error Elle - Rules said would cease for Round 10 and I miscalculated so had one free pass left. Did not make a difference though as no free passes were used at all.

This week we say farewell to Nottingham Hoods

Despite leading the competition the Hoods had a bad week this week resulting in elimination from the Shield.

We have the North South Challenge this week so will be no elimination. Will have 2 teams eliminated the following week.

This is the beauty of this competition.  Any one can be eliminated with a low score as we seen this week with the elimination of the Hoods and a few weeks back the Badgers only got through on a countback despite them being the leading points scorer.

If we go back to when I was eliminated the Badgers and the Magic were the exact same score but because the Badgers were higher on the ladder they went through. If I recall correctly this was during our horrible captaincy choice weeks too.  :o You got lucky Bradford.  ;)
