Title: Calling all Victorian Cricket Fans
Post by: ossie85 on March 18, 2013, 09:36:25 AM

Just reminding you that Tassie defeated Vic in the Shield and are in the final instead of you Vics.

Just in case you forgot.

Go Tassie!

James Faulkner has to be close to having a ticket to the Ashes

309 runs at 28.09 and 35 wickets at 20.94 (Butterworh also impressive stats). And Sayers from South Aus also

And Ponting's form has been incredible.... Wouldn't surprise me if the Aussie selectors got desperate and asked him...

Got in before me Os.

He is my cricketing love-child at the moment. And trust me, it is of Jukes/Stanton proportions.

Hats off the Shield season in general. I've never seen a competition so close that a team finishes top with 4 wins and at the same time a team finishes last with 4 wins.

All the bowlers have good stats this season, but the only batsmen with decent records are all too old! What happened to the days of Shield games being run fests? Captains just make their players score quick and get out now with everyone pushing for outright wins. They should make the games go for 5 days instead.

We were 12 runs away from first innings points which would have got us a spot. Will be going for the bulls though after living there for 5 years  :P

get Joe Burns in the national set up... star of the future and already proving his worth now

And suerly Callum Ferguson is in line for a Test squad call-up? Sixth on the runscorers list, and is behind Hughes and Ponting... Doolan has tailed off slightly since his early season form but he should still be in contention too
