ThoughtsLooking at the stats it would easy to quickly pass over Roberton as a viable option for your SC side next season, however a move to the Saints may be just what's needed to see Roberton have that break out year. Moving clubs has certainly helped players reach their fantasy potential, ala Brad Ebert, Ivan Maric, Sam Jacobs etc, and Roberton could be the next one.
Roberton struggled for game time at Freo, but moving to the Saints who have lost Goddard, Gram and Cripps from their defensive half could mean that Roberton gets the opportunity to stake a claim at the rebounding defender role, an opportunity I think he will grab. Expect to see Roberton get plenty of games next year at the Saints.
VerdictAlthough I'm tipping him to improve, he still wont be good enough for your SC side in 2013. I'm predicting an average in the low 70's. But in saying that he may be one of the first defenders picked in a few seasons time :)

Crowsfan, I only know what you've written about him. Happy to accept your conclusion. Thanks for the write-up
Spud.
To be honest, no idea why anyone would even do a profile for this guy..

Haven't seen you do any mate.
It's called doing profiles on players that others haven't considered before to give them more options for their squad. Roberton is at a new club who needs a rebounding defender/playmaker from the back, and they could very well look at Roberton to fill this gap.
Nice work CrowsFan!
If Roberton was a little cheaper I would've of considered him, but is at a awkward price so I would pass
Hmm not sure if I would pick him up even if he were rookie priced.
He seemed to be the guy that got dropped every second week at freo. Hopefully gets a better run at the saints
Good work CF! Roberton is not for me though

+1 :o
I agree maybe 60-70 avg but not enough to make sc team
I actually think he will have a decent year at the Saints, wont be taking the risk at that price though...
Nice work CF. :)
Averaging 94 from the first three rounds. All I can say to you doubters is :P
Tell em CF :P
yep spot on, great call CF.
one of the best recruits/recycled players of the year imo
Hahaha, at all the guys posting earlier in this.
Can't say I blame you though!
As a Saints fan I didn't expect it. But he's going well this year! About time the Saints done some good recruiting! Good work on the piece CF! ha
I went against my initial thoughts and picked him rnd 1, traded him out when he started to drop. was averaging 93 just before mid year. It was worth it.
