Time to kick of the Elxam Awards with a real favourite of mine.
The Spud of the Year.We've all made mistakes this year in SuperCoach and DreamTeam, and sometimes made mistakes here on the forum! :o Some sillier than others and some are just plain spuddish!
This is what this award is all about, those spud mistakes that people have made other the past year.

I would like to nominate Jormas. It took him some time to find his feet on the forum, but we had to get through about 200+ posts firsts to get to that point.

I did that trade too zippy followed by fyfe to zaha to christensen :/ 2012 DT fail.
On a fantasy note, and I've never told anyone this because I was (and still am) ridiculously embarrassed. I traded the Pav to Rhys Stanley in like the 2nd week of Supercoach... :-[ :o

We've all made spud mistakes.
Reckon I would take the cake in Worlds with trading in players subsequently delisted or traded - Seaby, Hudson and Iles.
Surely Whatlez is Relton Roberts and therefore gets my nomination... 8)

I actually spoke to him via PM because I found his team. Took me ages, but got it via process of elimination and I can confirm that it appeared (and he said) that his team just missed out on top 100. I believe off the top of my head that it was something like the team that finished 104th.

With a top 4 team you can enjoy their success and with port and co. you can be excited about the future
you guys can get stuck in to me all you want after all this is a swans thread i expect bias but i dont really care these are my views and im not changing them

Contested Marks - 30 - Rank 7th vs other rucks
1% acts - 88 - Rank 4th vs other rucks
Not sure your from the hip comments really stack up too well against some real data??
hahaha im pretty sure we are talking about the next five years or so here not the current season. Realistically how many seasons does goodes and bolton have left.
These facts dont prove you have a foward coz goodes while he is a champion isnt going to be playing forever and if you look at reid yes he can take a mark but 22 goals. Butcher kicked 10+ in four games (might i add in his first season).
as for injury prone midfield you cant count rok. goodes or bolton because they are all ageing and are nearly gone. It is the youth that have real concerns and when your two best future prospects in hanners and jack have shown serious concerns with their knees and shoulder id be worried. Just coz they play during the season doesnt mean they didnt have injury interuppted pre seasons.
Mummy has had one decent year but honestly at geelong he was a spud. He needs to prove that he is a no.1 ruck with a few years of top level ruckwork not just 22 games.
look stats can be brought up for any team and im sure i could do up a page to prove facts for port or any other failing team but honestly if i was another clubs trading scout i wouldnt touch any swans players coz they arent good enough.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, these were without a doubt huge claims to make (using Butcher, who kicked 11 goals in the season, in 8 games, was a masterstroke), but two things make FARK even more of a spud.
a) His confession that he doesn't even care if he doesn't produce any evidence for his claim.
b) After the 2012 Grand Final, he has made no comment on that thread or even the Swans page. Seems to have confined himself to the EUROS page...

It's also farks opinion that tippett is a shower contested mark but went quiet when I showed him the stats with tippett sitting 3rd in contested marks this season.

NOT serious at all. But if people have decided to use these as a means of attack, then
I will shut down the awards hub.
Any nomination deemed to be non-civil will be removed immediately and a warning will be given. Multiple warnings will result in disqualification from all awards. If several people are warned, then the award will be closed.
Should a nominee wish for the nomination to be removed they have the right to refuse the nomination.

I'm with Windi - Tbag shouldn't win this award
Is arguably the most dedicated AXV coach out there and was always reliable when his turn to pick and when discussing trades. He finished 2nd in the All-Time NBA Draft by 1 vote, a very good effort. He is bias but only because he loves Adelaide, no problem with that IMO
Whatlez doesn't deserve this award either. Has done a lot of work round the DT board and he too has drafted a good AXV side while being very reliable. Also has a great taste in beauty and the geek women ;)

Unfortunately, voting for this and other awards has been suspended until further notice.
A full investigation is being mounted by myself, moderator Hellopplz and administrator m0nty into apparent voting irregularities within this award and others.
This is a VERY disappointing situation. I had hoped that these awards would be enjoyable and fun like in previous years. Unfortunately some people have decided to ruin these awards completely.
For those responsible, and you know who you are, if you contact myself or HP now, this will be taken into consideration when punishments are handed out to those responsible.
Again, this is VERY disappointing situation and hope that the people responsible can do the right thing for once and come forward.
