Title: hawks 22 2013
Post by: the flying hawk on October 08, 2012, 04:48:34 PM
it is early but im just thinking now
B Gibson Lake Guerra
HB birchall schoenmakers suckling
C smith mitchell lewis
HF rioli franklin gunston
F puoppolo roughead bruest
Fol hale sewell hodge
INT sheils whitex Burgoyne sub savage
as you have noticed a have included lake i think if they were to get him he would play if not Gilham why i include them is because with them playing it would let gibson float across the back line :)

not sure why you have lake in instead of stratton? even if we were to get him which I haven't heard anything recently there is 0 chance strats gets dropped. puopolo and savage will need to have great pre seasons to keep out players such as schneider, hill and woodward who will all be pushing for a chance

There is no way on earth WhiteX will be ready round 1 and may not play for the whole season. I agree Stratton will not get dropped, he is a far better than Puopolo in particular and also savage. I'd have suckling on the bench instead of Burgoyne but bench starting on the bench doesn't even matter these days. Ellis would also be in the mix.

DT wise... how do you boys think this inclusion of Lake will affect Birchall and Suckers?

I think it shouldn't effect birch too much. when he is free and running off half back we are a much better team. suckers on the other hand I think it may effect. although he has the superboot, besides his kicking he really isn't that great a player. fairly slow, not strong, not short, not tall, so maybe just maybe could go backwards and spend some time as sub, even at box hill if all our back men are right. ideally I think our back 6 would be guerra, lake, gibson, birchall, schoenmakers and stratton. hodge and burgoyne both being able to float back.

just my opinion though.
