Hi all,
I've put together a website that you guys might be interested in. It's aimed at footy fans, and is driven by twitter content.
http://www.hashtagfooty.com
It's mainly aimed at people like me, who may not use twitter, but are interested in what is being said after Brock McLean tells some bloke that their mum gave him Aids, for example.
It's basically a way of collating and displaying tweets from footballers and clubs without the need for a twitter account. There's also a player directory which lists the details of (almost) every player on an AFL list who uses twitter, where you can view recent tweets, and start following them if you do have an account.
Take a look if you get a chance - And if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them..
Cheers
I like it mate, saves me having to go through my twitter account to see what is happening. Prepare though as soon as a game starts the twitterverse will explode!!!
Haha, i tested it during last weekend's matches and it got through alright, so fingers crossed..
Really like it mate, keep up the good work.
Very nice. Not sure if you are taking requests... But LaHug was trying to drum up some support for his twitter feed recently. Writes great comments predominantly around DT.
WHAT AN AWESOME SITE!

To anyone else who runs a fantasy footy twitter account - if you'd like to be included in the site's fantasy section, just send me a direct message and we can work something out!

Thanks mate - I did make it by myself (I'm a web designer by trade).
And yeah, there's a newly made twitter account associated with it now - the handle is @HashtagFooty
just noticed that is advertised on the live scores page
Fantastic site mate, really looks great and is easy to use. Like this a lot better than trying to navigate through twitter, gets very messy sometimes!
Hi all,
I posted here a while ago plugging a website that I put together called Hashtag Footy (http://www.hashtagfooty.com) and now, I'm looking for someone to run the Twitter account associated with the site.
This role would be paid (modestly to begin with), and the main objectives would be increasing the number of followers, establishing a positive reputation throughout the footy community by posting interesting/relevant content, and most importantly driving traffic to the main website.
If you are interested, or know someone that may be, send me a private message on here, or email me at bmillar@live.com.au, and we can talk further.
Cheers!
