London Royals | | 0.0.0 | vs. | 0.0.0 | | Beijing Bears | | Wembley |

Wellington Warriors | | 0.0.0 | vs. | 0.0.0 | | New York Eagles | | The Basin Reserve |
Buenos Aires Armadillos | | 0.0.0 | vs. | 0.0.0 | | Mexico City Suns | | Estadio de River |
Sao Paulo Pumas | | 0.0.0 | vs. | 0.0.0 | | Pacific Islanders | | Estádio do Pumas |
The story - quite a boring final round.
Cape Town v New Delhi - A Cape Town loss would see the Cobras drop to 4th if the Armadillos win against the Suns, while New Delhi can only hold onto 10th.
Seoul v Cairo - Seoul needs to win, and pray for a miracle. Cairo have avoided the bottom 4 and win would send them up the ladder.
London v Beijing - Royals coach Ringo still searching for a first win. Finals are a certainty for Beijing but they can't realistically make the top 4 barring a percentage miracle, however a home elimination final is on the cards.
Berlin v Tokyo - Who cares really? Brewers wouldn't want to finish second last, but an in form Tokyo could do just that.
Moscow v Dublin - Moscow only need to win against the struggling Dublin to make the finals, a loss and they need to hope Cairo upset Seoul. Dublin have the spoon and the priority pick no matter what the result.
Toronto v PNL - PNL can no longer climb out of the bottom 4 after a heartbreaking loss last week, but could still finish the year on a high. Toronto had a shocker last week, and can still qualify for a home elimination final. A loss could see them out of the 8, but would be horribly unlucky.
Wellington v New York - Warriors need a calculator to make the top 4, but will secure a home elimination final next week if they win. New York will finish between 15th and 17th.
Buenos Aires v Mexico City - Early finals preview against 2nd and 4th. However, no matter what the result, both teams could stay at 2nd or 4th. Suns a minor chance for the minor premiership of the Pumas fall asleep at the wheel.
Sao Paulo v Pacific - Even a loss would likely see them win the Minor Premiership, but the Pumas need a win to secure it. The Islanders would love to finish the year on a high.
Predicted First Week of Finals:
Qualifying finals:
Sao Paulo v Buenos Aires, Brazil (Rhythm Cup also on line)
Mexico City v Cape Town, Mexico
Elimination finals:
Beijing v Moscow, China
Wellington v Toronto, New Zealand
This will be the final round of competition for New Delhi, Pacific, London, Tokyo, Cairo, PNL, Berlin, New York and Dublin. Likely will be the final round for Seoul, with a small chance of final round for either Moscow or Toronto.

Taunting this weeks opponent with an emergency list like that.
All our boys got through training tonight so the hard work for this week is done. The match on the weekend will be a light training session leading onto finals, but we're keen to play well and see if we will be able to give some of the premiership contenders something to think about. When we win this week we will have achieved our goal for the year of making finals, but we won't place any caps on ourselves.

Well, here we are, the final round. It's been a long year for the Islanders, but what a fantastic first season it has been. Before the start of the season, we were favourite for the spoon. 16 weeks later, we've shown amazing courage and belief and sit 11th on the ladder with 7 wins and 9 losses.
Last weeks loss to the Suns wasn't ideal, but it was going always going to be tough to defeat one of the flag favourites.
This week it doesn't get any easier, in fact, it's the Islanders biggest test of the season. The Sao Paulo Pumas.
The odds are massively against us, as they have been all season, but we are ready to produce one gigantic final effort to end the season on a high note.
GO ISLANDERS!
Max Bauley gets his first run. The J-POD gets his first game for a while. Zorko gets the captaincy.
Palmer and Hille make way. The New Delhi Tigers still want to end the season on a high. Even though trade negotiations are underway

2 Big ins this week! Hopefully can help topple Toronto 8).
Another great team, instead of the embarrasment of defeat, roo boys you should just forfeit and score a zero. Clearly your percentage is too high.
Though I can't be too disappointed, registering another score of over 150 in a loss, I am pointing my finger at Alwyn Davey who let his team down. Replacing him is Charlie Dixon making his debut, in the last round of the year, and will be the 25th player to represent Seoul this year. Joining him on the forward line is Vice-Captain Patrick Dangerfield, veteran Luke Power and also-on-thin-ice Hayden Ballantyne.
Terrific effort by the midfield last week, and is unchanged with Griffen-Kelly-Bolton-Steven-Gibbs-Anthony proving a hand combo. Griffen needs to lift more consistently, and Gibbs is averaging 20 points less than I expected at the start of the year. Stephen Coniglio is the emergency, while Tom Scully is no where to be seen. Ben McEvoy continues his very important role as #1 ruck.
Deledio leads the team and defence, with Jason Gram and Chris Yarran holding there spots. Matthew Scarlett returns from suspension - in what could be his last Worlds game ever - replacing the unlucky Nick Maxwell.

Very very undermanned Wolves side running out there today! Kieran Harper has been dropped (I believe for the first time this season?) because an individual bias can only go so far...
I had plans to move Jones to the bench and bring in another midfielder, but injuries to Maguire and Monfries and the dropping of Bewick have forced me to update my bench. Jamie MacMillan gets a well earned run, while the big story of the Wolves this week, Tom Bell comes in for his debut!

3 changes made this week, with just 1 being forced after Cross injured his shoulder last week. Hopefully he'll be right for the finals. Sam Jacobs makes his return after missing last week through injury with Jon Griffin making way. Whitecross also returns from a week in the ressies after putting in an impressive performance. The forward line is very contested at the moment, with 5 of my forwards averaging over 98 points per game over the last 5 rounds, 4 of them averaging above 100! The final change is Hartlett returning from a 6 week layoff, who slots straight back in to the mids. Final round before the finals, so hopefully we can get through it unscathed!
Go Pumas!!
I think Cross is out for the season CF

Thought he would be :'( Luckily Hartlett is back then...
Yep just read an article saying he has had surgery and wont be able to train for 12 weeks
Sigh. Finishing the season disappointingly. Worst submitted team of the year.
Trent West is a forced ommission and this will be the only game he hasn't played all year
Was hoping Watts and Buddy would come back this week, but this was not to be
Spencer is the only ruck playing......... having melb ruckman is a good idea, when they go down I'll always have a replacement...... maybe I should try and get all of them ;)

121 actually. Also only averaging 62.33 for the season, plus how many games have you played him in?
Not many :P
Still proud of his effort :)

None of which have been as high as Treloar's score this week.
Treloar also has 3 scores over 95 and that's close enough to being centuries for my liking.
Who could forget his sensational 7 point game? He played a vital, team lifting role in one of our wins. I can't remember who Moscow faced that week, but it was an amazing performance by Treloar.

MJ doing ok...not as well as I would have liked though!
IM doing my best to get you over the line Ossie, my midfield is lifting for the last game of the season and showing the potential of my team.

You better believe it!
I have had two less players (if you count captain twice) than Tokyo and I'm 41 points ahead!
So its
Me:
41 points
Colin Garland
Tom McDonald
Jack Trengove
Shane Edwards
Daniel Jackson
Jake Spencer
Jeremy Howe
Liam Patrick
Brent Moloney
Home Advantage (56 atm)
vs
Tokyo
Jake Carlisle
Lewis Jetta
Kieran Jack
Kieran Jack (coz capt is basically two players)
Travis Cloke
Ben McGlynn
Andrew Collins
Note: All my demons play Gold Coast too ;D
I like my chances!!!!
have you factored in the bit where his players are better? :P lol jks, CLoke only scored 70 so well in with a shot Purple! Keep going! :D

And all of a sudden the Minor Premiership race is on? Would take something special!!! Moscow push Seoul out of the 8, Cape Town back to third, and Beijing and Toronto in the home elimination slots.
Feeling fairly comfortable at the moment that Seoul will beat Cairo. But it's all academic if Dublin don't defeat Moscow... The story...
Dublin: 1037 + Mumford + Day + Caddy + Malceski
Moscow: 1039 + Frawley + Tom Lynch + H Bennell + Brodie Smith + 43 (Dickson divided by 2 because Fletcher will withdraw) + HGA (currently 45)
Clearly in favour of Moscow, but not guaranteed.
Am I right in saying this is what Toronto vs PNL looks like at the moment? (Just used the scores you gave Oss so they are rounded)
Toronto - 1010/10 with Carrazzo, Richards, Bell, Rivers, van Berlo and HGA to come.
PNL - 970/11 with Jones (C), Grundy, K.Simpson and Harbrow to come.
I should be home, unless Jones pulls out a huge score. Hopefully can snare a home final too!
Chose the wrong week to drop Harper and play MacMillan, lost 27 points there..hopefully not the difference!
Have I mentioned that I love Shane Edwards? Just another measly 95 from him. And Daniel Jackson has pumped out 119 leaving this as the situation:
Berlin:
185 points
Colin Garland
Tom McDonald
Jack Trengove
Jake Spencer
Jeremy Howe
Liam Patrick
Brent Moloney
Home Advantage (56 atm)
Tokyo:
Jake Carlisle
Lewis Jetta
Kieran Jack (C)
Ben McGlynn
Andrew Collins
And, if, and thats a big if, melbourne beat the suns by about 50-odd points, there would be a lot of players with about 80+ points.Tokyo definitely has the better quality, but the Brewers lead of 182 points with one less player played might be too much of a lead.
Unless Kieran Jack goes silly :-\
Looking good Purple!
Add 3 to Toronto and subtract 2 for PNL :)

vs
Islanders - N. Smith, Prestia, D. Swallow, 134
Would have been nice to have put Jolly as captain instead of Petrie. That could have made things slightly more interesting. :P

Also just realised I will get one quarter of Crowley's score because Brennan didn't play.
Ablett 103 SC at half time. I never stood a chance.
And Harley Bennell is breaking South Korean hearts. And Irish.
Toronto - 1072/11 with Carrazzo, Richards, Bell, van Berlo and HGA to come.
PNL - 1279/13 with Grundy and K.Simpson to come.
Carrots, Bell and Richards really struggling at quarter time! Could be in trouble :-\
No Jordie McKenzie. :(
Well, with the conclusion off the Melbourne victory against the suns, my team is finished!
I have ended up with 1393! Not bad for a team with 7 of your first 12 picks out, and 14 of your first 22 out.
Very consistent performances! I had:
2 players get over a 100 (McDonald and Jackson)
5 players (captain counted twice) got 90-99 (Duffield, Wells (C), Edwards, Howe)
2 players get 80-89 (Trengove and Moloney)
5 players get 70-79 (Garland, Schofield, Spencer, Walters, Carlile)
Stokes (56) and Patrick (41)
So Jake Carlisle, Lewis Jetta, Kieran Jack (C), Ben McGlynn and Andrew Collins have to get 807 points to win.
Think I've got this!

Got it, 48 to Taylor Adams. Which means for me to win Nathan van Berlo needs to get 171! Which means a 104 point second half. Big upset, congrats HP!
RB that's not quite right ;)
Add 48 to 1,277 and you are on 1,325, which puts you 120 behind, not 170. So you need NVB to score 121 for the win, so a second half of 54 ;)

Scotland, Jenkins, Petrenko + HGA vs Goodes, Howlett, 50pts.
I don't think i'll get this. :(
My first loss since round 6! :/
Howlett with the hamstring tear has literally cost me the match. And added another casualty to the finals campaign.
i just told Nails that we got smashed coz i saw this:

That's ok Ossie, i understand that my side is actually better than yours and you don't want to admit it. :)
A strong performance to capture the minor premiership! Still very disappointed I couldn't go undefeated :( Would love to face Moscow in the grand final (if I make it that far) to get some retribution...

If you make it that far...
...oh CF, you are far too modest.
Very sorry Ossie :(
Haha c4 not trying to be modest, but there are teams very capable of defeating me ;)

Reckon PNL is regretting giving the captaincy to Nathan Jones instead of Pavlich...
I would have been gone if he give it to Pav! Wolves not doing too well so far :-\
MJ doing ok...not as well as I would have liked though!
Well lost a bit not choosing Pav, but not fussed, came away with the upset! Got to say was reading through this thead and looke quite intense throughout the weekend Rb, great match! Was quite tight until Jones pulled in a great game as Captain.

No reason to think PNL can't make the finals next year, form of late has been outstanding!
Shame it came so late in the season though.... :-\
Yeah, shame it took so long to register first win. Fought out of bottom place to at least show some talent for next year 8). Injuries and lack of star power hurt us early, but expect better competition next season :D.
