THE chances of GWS Giant Stephen Coniglio winning the AFL's Rising Star award have been dealt a blow, with the young gun damaging his thumb.

Coniglio will miss the next four games at least after needing surgery to repair tendon damage in the right thumb.

Certainly makes me feel better about trading him out just before he pumped out that 115 last week.

+1 I felt so showerty seeing him pull that score out! hope the lad recovers well though. he's an absolute star!

Jumped off the Coniglio ship a month ago :D

My main competitor in the school league has Congs in both of his teams (the cheat) :D

I wonder if this will help Miles get a foot in the door when he returns from injury? JS would still be pretty shaky but at least it would give people another possible downgrade option.
