Fantastic write up! I completely forgot about Morabito but he could be a perfect downgrade option when he does make the team. You would think his JS would be rock solid so should be a good bench option for the rest of the season
Excellent Colli!! :)
Great write up, extremely useful for those pesky rooks!
Morabito could be a good downgrade option for the horse after the round 12 bye
Top write up cw, very useful ;D

Yeah if the fans pick the teams he will be an automatic inclusion every round..... with the Coach and match commitee picking the team, well i'm not so sure :)
Darley and Sxton JS? :)

Darley and Sxton JS? :)
Sexton is hard to call, I really don't know.
Darley was great in NAB cup and solid so far, he will rotate in and out but will play more than not in my oppinion.

GO THE MULLET! What a champion, I wasn't smart enough to start him, but I was smart enough to trade him in for Redden in round 6 :)
Dont know about Mitchell CW, he has increased his game time gradually from 30 mins (first game) to 70 mins (last game). The 2s had the bye on the weekend in the NEAFL as well.
JPK, Jack, Parker, Hannebery, McVeigh and Bolton are current mid starters and Gordon is the next in. Mitchell will have to wait for 2 mids to be rested or some injuries to occur.
Also with Sydney, it sounds like Mummy won't play this weekend which helps Pyke but his first 2 games were against the Dees and a ruckless saints. On a positive he got alot of his points from tackles (11 in 2 weeks) and HOs.
Tommy Walsh may lose his spot to Spanger as well.........

ON THE RADAR ROOKS - Yet to Debut, expecting big things, watch out for these ones.
Tom Mitchell - Sydney mifdfielder smashing it in the seconds, will play soon.
Sam Gibson - Nth Melbourne midfielder shone in the NAB cup may get his chance at some stage.
Thomas Couch - Melbourne Mid/Fwd, also shone in the NAB cup many expected to see him sooner.
Mark Baguley - Essendon Mid/Def, needs a LTI to be elevated and included looked good preseason.
Elliot Kavanagh - Essendom midfielder in the same boat as Baguley above.
Jeromey Webberley - Richmond defender also showed a bit in NAB cup last in a long list, but form or injury may see him debut.
Sam Docherty - Brisbane Mid/Def - Has been playing in reserves for awhile now, expected an earlier debut from him.
Anthony Morabito - Fremantle midfielder, we should see him this round or next and he should cement a spot.
pretty much perfect Colli , awesome work
only thing is Kavanagh is main list so doesn't need to be elevated and could play any week (not likely though)
Thanks Mate I'll fix that :) reckon he will be good in time this one.

colli clearly you are a MULLET fan like myself ;D (our numbers are growing)
but i was refering to tbagrocks calling him a big sook!!!
he was so bad in Adelaide it wasn't funny, to be good you should be able to play anywhere, lucky he's not a soccer player and have to move to cold cold England, or worse, Asia! now does Adelaide seem that bad Ivan?
My Bad, Sorry I totally missed the comment from tbagrocks.
I am a Fan not sure he is the best player in the country yet but he has seemed to find something this season and he is doing a LOT right.
I also love the MULLET, being an 80's teenager I can relate to the mullet, tho i have about as much chance of growing one now as Ablett does :)
In tbagrocks defence Maric was ordinairy at Adelaide, but Ruckmen are funny like that, so often you see them unwanted and thrown away by one club to turn up at another and SMASH it.
The list is long....

he could be in current all australian form!! he is a very important link for the tigers
ok i'm a little bias but... full credit to the mullet, next year will be interesting to see who gets on him from go, their could be an abundance of top 100+ rucks to choose from, well at least 3
hay, if I had the trades i'd go Giles to Mullet ;D

Awesome write up Colli and a big cheer for your effort!!
Mr Mullet deserves his spot and since he's been in my team it has looked so much better ;D
You would hope Melbourne finally open their eyes and give Couch game time because otherwise why did they put him up in the first place if they weren't going to use him.
Thanks mate great stuff

Nic Nat is clearly number 1 in the league, but you have to watch his center square closely to know it. He doesn't give the opposition mids a chance with his tapwork. Huge advantage for WCE.

So you'd pick Maric in your team before Nic Nat..? Maric must seem good in a Richmond jumper seeing as they traded their last good ruckman to Geelong a decade ago (Ottens).

ottens wanted to leave richmond didnt trade him. and yes on current form (the past 3 weeks) maric is the in form ruckman and is number 2 for tap outs to advantage behind only jacobs
Sandilands is number one for hitouts to advantage!
OH hang on you mean hitouts to thier "OWN" teams advantage..... ::)
When should I trade M clarke?
depends on your backline, many will keep him because apart from 3 or 4 the scoring from premium backs is just not consistant enough.
If you do trade him the time would be a clarke to either waters or gws rook/docherty after round 11 before round 12.

I advised a friend who missed out on him last week that he was still worth getting in. Might have already had a price rise but I'd put him ahead of Darley and Sexton for scoring potential and JS.
considering I already have Spurr on the bench is there any point getting in Darley for Morris or Spurr? I'm not sold on his JS but bye structure not an issue, and it's a real toughie. Can anybody help me out? Thx :)

Hey wobblers, do u know much about kyal aylett from the giants?
Looks like Colli is busy so I'll field this one. Don't know much about him but here's his Prospectus writeup...
"Aylett is an athletic player with elite endurance, who played as a running defender for the Giants in the NEAFL last season. He represented NSW/ACT at the 2008 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships and the 2010 Under-18 Championships, ranking No.1 for his side in handball receives and third in disposals at the under-18 carnival. He played 13 NEAFL games last season, ranking second at the club for rebound 50's and running bounces, being named in their best players on 5 occasions".
Fantasy Freako says - A defender who can create, but won't be a big fantasy scorer at this stage of his career.
He played for the reserves on the weekend but wasn't named in the best. I'm sure he'll get a go at some point but it looks like there are a few guys ahead of him in the pecking order as it stands.
@mr.Craig, cheers man i couldn't really find anything on him.. but i'm pretty sure he's been injured all year so i was hopin that was all thats keepin him out of the side, be nice to get a good DEF d/g
Thanks Mr. Craig, busy weekend, didn't see until now, solid.

Murry Newman could be a option but his JS is a bit shaky right now i wouldn't think about bringing him in until he is named for his 3rd game. Apart from that there are not many options out there.
Look out for Tom Sheridan from Fremantle though was pick 16 in last years draft and was named as a emergency last week. He has been in ripping form recently in the SANFL highlighting a 25 possession and kicking 2.2 from 9 marks a couple weeks back.
Sam Schulz could get a recall to play his second game with injuries to both Shiel and Power.
Jackson Allen, Clay Smith (Still fairly cheap), Sam Gibson (Still cheap) Could all get a look in as well.

Everyone you have mentioned have low break-evens and will rise in price this week, Greene should get a good score even with a breakeven of 66.
Dell O'Lio JS just increased with Crameri set to miss the next 3 so he could be a option, Horlin-Smith, Murdoch and Young will all continue to get games. Elton could string a few together but wouldn't count on him playing the rest of the year.
Dell O'Lio and Horlin-Smith would be the better downgrade options right now.

Took the words right outta my gob ;)
Yeah, considering him as well.
Thanks Jukes, Koop :)
Murdoch played well in his first game on the weekend racking up with 88 DT points. I could see him playing a few more games, Could be used as a sub in games with his quick pace and good disposal rate could break open a game late in the game. Murdoch laid 8 tackles on the weekend and get used to seeing that week in week out, Sets up goals with his pressure acts as well.
I tend to like Horlin-Smith right now but Murdoch wouldn't be too fair behind had him in my preseason team, Murdoch to average between 60-75. Both good options.
it would probably have to be Murdoch just for that extra cash
*trade list for the week updated on front page 11pm Tuesday.
Rookies that could debut in the coming weeks.
Tom Sheridan (Fremantle): Pick 16 in last years draft and was named as a emergency last week. He has been in ripping form recently in the SANFL highlighting a 25 possession and kicking 2.2 from 9 marks a couple weeks back.
Cameron Sutcliffe (Fremantle): Had a best of field 34 possessions on the weekend, Guiding East Fremantle to a win, Could get a call up this weekend.
Lucas Cook (Melbourne): Close to getting a game last week and Melbourne couldn't do any worse kicked a couple goals on the weekend.
Elliot Kavanagh from Essendon isn't too far away either - doing very well for Bendigo and was a first-round draft pick last year. Watch closely
Stephen Clifton from GWS may also get a run soon, especially with Shiel and Coniglio out
Looking for someone who will play the rest of the reason.
might get Clifton if named.

Tommy is a ripper. Had him in my team more most of the pre-season as a POD. Dropped him after not impressing in the NAB Cup but should be a Gun. Hope to see him next year though as i don't really need to do anymore downgrades

Tim Mcintye
Height: 176cm Weight: 79kg
Junior Club: Corowa/Rutherglen
Previous Club: Murray Bushrangers, Corowa/Rutherglen
Price: ($85,800) FWD/MID
(http://resources2.news.com.au/images/2012/07/05/1226417/760254-tim-mcintyre.jpg)
Background:
After being overlooked in the draft as a teenager, McIntyre moved from New South Wales to Adelaide in 2008 to further his career at SANFL club, Sturt. The move paid off last December, with the 22-year-old being added to the Crows’ rookie list. A strong-marking small forward or midfielder, McIntyre kicked 14 goals in a two-week purple patch with the Double Blues last season.
McIntyre played 13 games for Sturt in the SANFL last season, booting 25 goals, which included hauls of six and eight majors late in the year. As a junior, he was Murray Bushrangers' leading goalkicker in 2006 and represented NSW/ACT at the 2006 & 2007 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, playing seven games, averaging 18 disposals per match.
Verdict
Mcintyre has been in good form this year he is the leader goal kicker in the SANFL with 30 goals from 11 matches. He will play this week with a chance to hold his spot in the coming weeks to cover losses to the likes of Patrenko, Callinan and Walker. He played in the NAB cup and looked promising with 7 touches amongst 31 DT points against Port. I think he can find a spot in the Crows forward line and will give good coverage as a mature aged rookie, Callinan did it last year Mcintyre can do it this year. Scoring potential 40-60

Jackson Allen
Height: 179cm Weight: 75kg
Previous Club: Morningside QLD
Price: ($98,700) DEF/MID
(http://goldcoastfc.com.au/data/Allen-Profile.jpg)
Background:
The Gold Coast Suns signed Jackson Allen as a Queensland Zone player prior to the 2011 AFL Draft. Allen was a shining light in this year's state under-18 team and cut his teeth at the senior level with Morningside in the NEAFL competition.
Allen represented Queensland at the 2011 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, playing four games with his second game his best, finishing with 30 disposals (including 24 kicks), 12 marks, 25 uncontested possessions, five rebound 50s and four inside 50s.
He also won the 2009 Alan McLean Medal awarded to the MVP in division two at the NAB AFL Under-16 Championships, ranking equal-No.1 at that carnival for inside 50s, equal second in contested possessions and third in hardball-gets. Allen trained with Gold Coast in the 2011 pre-season and was used as a top-up player in the NEAFL side last season.
Verdict:
Last Week, Allen played along the half back line and was named 2nd best player on the ground, Has been named multiple times in the best throughout the season and I'm surprised he didn't debut early on. Allen has elite kicking and could probably be one of the best kickers in the Gold Coast team. I see him playing the rest of the season he is a good player and right now the Suns couldn't do any worse. Scoring range 60-70 (His elite kicking will be gold in DT)
great write up on both players mate, but Jackson Allen looks about 15 aha
Do you see Allen as a good downgrade option for (e.g.) Shaw or Darley?
I think that this late in the year you could only grab one not both of them
Thanks mate :)
I really like Allen, I had him in my pre season team for a while but took him out. I would look at him as a downgrade option before Mcintyre as i can see Allen lasting out the year. He is a strong chance to get the vest this week as he can impact a game which probably won't matter this week against Geelong as the game will be over at half time. Look at him next week and make a decision but he looms as a great downgrade target. His kicking is elite will be a joy to watch over the years.
Looking for a midfield rookie who's most likely to play rounds 20-23. I know it's a tough one to call and most people would suggest Murdoch at this stage, but Geelong rookies haven't been playing very consistently so far so I'm a little unsure. I was hoping to get an opinion on Miles, Clifton, Tom Mitchell or even if Morabito is likely to get a game this season.
Jake Spencer as a Ruck downgrade? What do you think about that one?
Tom Mitchell
Height: 181cm Weight: 79kg
Previous Club: Claremont
Price: ($98,700) MID
(http://mm.afl.com.au/Portals/0/TMitchell240profilea.jpg)
Background
Mitchell is contested ball, clearance specialist. The hard at it onballer has battled injury at times last season, but he was among WA's best when he came into the team late in the national under-18 carnival. His ability to win the ball and distribute it efficiently by hand is outstanding and he is also a long kick off his left boot. He returned to play colts footy for Claremont late in the season and amassed 45 possessions in his first game back from an injury layoff. Mitchell was part of 13th AIS-AFL Academy intake. Starred late in the U18 championships, averaging 28 disposals.
Verdict
Mitchell would of been a top 5 pick if he wasn't selected as a F/S pick was nearly in everyones team pre season his injuries have been a disappointment not only for SC/DT but for Swans fans as well. When he does debut he will be a star. Averaged 96 in 2 games in the U/18 Championships and a impressive 131 from 5 games playing for Clearmont. Will average around the 70-80 mark par the sub of course will be a good downgrade target.
Anthony Morabito
Height: 191cm Weight: 97kg
Previous Club: Peel Thunder
Price: $168,500 (MID)
Background
The impressive young midfielder missed the entire 2011 season after a knee reconstruction. His speed and power running was missed on a wing, but the exciting youngster should make a strong return after a full recovery period. Played 23 games in his debut season, breaking lines and kicking long goals.
Verdict
Morabito was close to playing last week against Collingwood but he was carried of on a stretcher during the WAFL with a suspected concussion after Mcgrath whacked his arm across Morabito's head during the game. Morabito had been playing well for Peel up until then he was in his 5th consecutive match since returning and was in good form. Morabito's has been averaging 17 disposals and has been running well so far. He could return next week against Melbourne. When he does expect he to start as the sub for a couple weeks then expect scores of around 60-70
Anthony Miles
Height: 181cm Weight: 77kg
Previous Club:
Price: $113,200 (MID)
Background
Anthony Miles is an inside midfielder from Howlong near Albury and is hailed as a natural leader having captained NSW/ACT at both the NAB Underâ€16 and Underâ€18 Championships. In 2009 Miles played 13 matches as a bottom aged player for the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup, and in 2010 he played 11 matches to average an elite 27 disposals and 12 contested possessions per match. In both seasons he was runnerâ€up in the Bushrangers best and fairest and in 2010 was selected in the TAC Cup Team of the Year. At the 2009 NAB Underâ€18 Championships he averaged 13 disposals and five-contested possessions while in 2010 his averages of 30 disposals and 13 contested possessions were both ranked number one. These efforts saw him selected in the 2010 NAB AFL U18 Allâ€Australian team.
Verdict
During the preseason i had him in my team up until the round 1 squads were named, I amongst many really rate Miles i am quite disappointed he has only played 1 game this season having 15 possession resulting in 84 DT points. I had him in GWS best 10 players at the start of the year showed that in the NAB having 26 touches in 1 game. Was the only giant to average 100+ DT points last season. Will average in the 80s when he does play.
Steven Clifton
Height: 182cm Weight: 84kg
Previous Club: North Ballarat
Price: $130,700 (MID)
Background
Clifton joined the Giants via the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft after winning three premierships with North Ballarat in the VFL and finishing as the joint-winner of the Liston Trophy in 2010. He played 11 NEAFL games with the Giants last season, averaging the third-most contested possessions and clearances of any Giants player, recording an impressive averaged of 21 disposals per game. Clifton averaged 84 DT points playing in the NEAFL last year and was one of the Giants best throughout the season.
Veridct
Clifton has had a bad run of injuries this year but when he does debut he will be the Michael Barlow of the year, Will average around the 85-95 mark, Wins his own possessions and uses it well. Playing against Sydney this week in the NEAFL and look out for him another dominating performance will force his way in the team.

Honestly i think Allen will play the rest of the year, GC can't afford to drop him as he can play a vital role for his team and honestly can GC do any worse. Geelong will look to young guns,; Murdoch, Horlin-Smith and Schroder to play a few more games this season to get some game time experience in them, Probably not every game from here on. Adelaide's Mitchell Grigg, Saints Seb Ross, Freo pair Cameron Sutcliffe and Tom Sheridan could all play a role in the second half of the season. Kangaroos Brad McKenzie and Brisbane's Elliot Yeo may play a few more games towards the later end as well. Then there is also Tom Mitchell, Steve Clifton and Anthony Miles who will score well when the play.
My top 5: Miles, Mitchell, Allen, Clifton, Sutcliffe.

Jake Spencer as a Ruck downgrade? What do you think about that one?
Jake Spencer played last week and didn't look that promising with 17 hit outs amongst touches. Has 9 career games with a career average of 40 DT points. With Clark out for the year and Jamar's calf causing him problems i don't know when he will be back. Spencer could play a few games as the main ruck with Martin back up. Unless you really need the cash i wouldn't bring him in, As soon as Jamar is back Spencer is gone.

Upgrade t bugg or b ellis :-\
Thomas Bugg - Price 255,100 breakevn 82
Brendan Ellis - Price $249,100 brakeven 38
Bugg has made the most money out of the 2 and does look like he will drop in price in the coming weeks, With a breakeven of 82 Bugg may continue to drop while Ellis should rise a bit more with a break-even of 38.
Then again Bugg can knock up the 80+ scores every now and then and could provide a suitable D8/9, While Ellis though he has been a victim of the sub the majority of the year he has shown he can't knock up them big scores when he plays a full game.
I would upgrade Ellis next week after he moves up in price next week, With a breakeven of 38 he should reach it. Bugg will provide you with a suitable D8/9 for the rest of the season.

I did a review of McIntyre on page 6 and i don't think he will play week in week out for the rest of the season, With Adelaide set to be a top 4 side for the rest of the year they will be looking to set up there best 22 come the later part of the season, I don't see McIntyre in their best 22. So he won't provide good coverage on the bench.
I would prefer Murdoch out of the 2 as a downgrade options, Cats will be looking to their youngsters to shine come the end of the year and bring them towards the finals. This means the likes of Murdoch, Horlin-Smith, Brown and co will continue to get games.
This week at the selection table
GWS:
After a dismal lose Sheedy will be looking to swing the axe at numerous players, Several players will be in Sheedys sights to get the axe while a host of Giants will come in, After a lose in the reserves the UWS Giants did look promising though.
Israel Folau kicked 2 goals and looked lively all game, Spent some time at full forward and in the ruck and his tackling was a highlight of the game. Anthony Miles was the Giants best by a long way played superb in the guts be stiff not to get a look in this week. Tom Downie was amongst Giants best playing a good game in the ruck while Kurt Aylett and Matt Buntine both gave them plenty of run of the half back line and looked lively all game. Sam Frost continued his run of good form as this was his fifth consecutive game amongst the Giants best, Played up forward and looked lively.
Jonathan Giles will be due for a rest as his last month has been terrible and with Tom Downie playing good football he can be replaced,Jonathan Giles stint in the twos may be a bit longer than 1 week has his disposal efficiency has been shocking in the past month. James McDonald had a shocker game with only 8 handballs to his name before getting subbed out its time for James McDonald to step aside for a game or two and let Anthony Miles have a crack at AFL level.
Selections
Out: Giles, Wilson, McDonald, Kennedy and Edwards
In: Folau, Downie, Aylett, Buntine, Miles
*This is just what i think*
Did they say Giles has been playing terrible or you have just said that?
Cause he has only played 2 games since his 2 week break?
I just said that he hasn't looked in the best form and could require a stint in the twos, Downie deserves to debut.

Tommy is a ripper. Had him in my team more most of the pre-season as a POD. Dropped him after not impressing in the NAB Cup but should be a Gun. Hope to see him next year though as i don't really need to do anymore downgrades
So who gets the start??? Morabito or Sheridan??? I dont think they will change their line up any way after their win!!

I would suspect Morabito to get a gig maybe not this week but next week and with Sutcliffe playing well on the weekend this may push the debut of Sheridan back a couple of weeks.
Hope Miles comes in! He would be a good downgrade option!?
Stephen Clifton wouldn't be bad either right about now!

Atleast no new AFL teams to contend with next year guys, should relieve a bit of the workload.
You were a class act alone colli, Noz the masters apprentice input was also terrific. Look
forward to 2013 and the work you guys produce.
