Title: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 15, 2012, 10:45:57 PM
team as is with 16 trades left and 241k left

Goddard,Deledio,Heppall,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Bugg(morris,ellis)

Ablett,Swan,Murphy,Selwood,Cogs,Horsley(Jmac,Shiel)

HMac,Giles(redden,stephenson)

Franklin,Sidebottom,Harvey,Martin,Porplyzia,Smith,Christensen(kennedy,smedts)

looking at Ellis > Spurr to free up more cash and grab a premo mid next round

or grab a Dangerfield/Clancee/Zaha for Porps

what do you guys suggest?

Well first off great team mate! Keep an eye on the mcintosh & christensen injuries tho. Lets presume they are out for one...Christo is a keeper and u have cover so hold him! You'll cop a donut from H-Mac tho!!! What I suggest:

Redden-->Pattison (94k ruck/fwd)
Porps-->Roughead

Then move roughy to rucks to cover donut...then your rucks can be mac and giles until giles reaches his ceiling and by then he will be an easy swap to prem. And for whenever something goes wrong, you have roughy in your fwds as back up! if you dont like that idea then yeah ellis-->spurr is good :)

Hope I helped

H-MAC OUT FOR MONTH!!!!

If your going for league I highly recommend my above trades

If your going for overall h-mac has to go!

Your back line is set, Spurr just breaks your bye structure.  Don't touch it, until a R11 replacement (Darley, Docherty) comes along to trade Bugg.

Wait for Zorko/Sexton to come on bubble.

http://www.kangaroos.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/4912/newsid/135997/default.aspx

Despite earmarking himself as a chance to play, Hamish McIntosh is considered unlikely to recover in time from a knee injury to take on the Power.

When quizzed about the status of McIntosh on Wednesday, North Melbourne coach Brad Scott was pessimistic on the chances of the ruckman travelling to AAMI Stadium.

"We think it's probably going to be one to two (weeks), but he thinks he's a good chance this week," Scott said.

"We'll give him every chance but we certainly won't take any risks."

However, with McIntosh still in full recovery mode, a quicker than normal recuperation could see him named in the 22.

interesting story.. will miss a week i reckon. Don't mind taking a donut as I've had ruck issues aka Mummy/Sandi/HMac issues. So i don't wanna be stuffing around and trading HMAC unless its definite 4 weeka. I could grab Zorko now and hope he does a Puopolo like last year when i traded him in after 1 game and does well then grab my premo mid?

The Roughy trade is a boring one but probably a smart one. Any thoughts on Roughy getting a rest?

Yeah just take the donut.   I know this breaks a lot of rules, but personally I wouldn't be against taking Zorko early and doing an upgrade.

where do you suggest i downgrade/upgrade??old mac? shiel? cogs?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 16, 2012, 10:13:01 PM
Shiel mate based on byes and BE, also don't grab another R11 forward like Danger.  I like Zaha personally, get rid of Kennedy.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: Jay on May 16, 2012, 10:14:22 PM
yep shiel easily
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 16, 2012, 10:30:55 PM
so you guys reckon -

shiel > zorko

porps or kenndy > zaha?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 16, 2012, 10:35:36 PM
Kennedy first.  Trades look good.  If Zorko breaks a leg, don't blame me :)
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team

shiel-->zorko
porps-->zaha
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 16, 2012, 10:42:53 PM
hmm kennedy or porps.. trade kennedy then i'd consider porps a keeper as f7 and fwds finished
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 16, 2012, 10:50:06 PM
Keeping Porplyzia is a luxury, if you can without slowing down upgrades you should.  Kennedy does have a lower BE, but Porplyzia just needs to have one big game for big price hike.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 16, 2012, 10:54:44 PM
what i can do i just a single trade :

Shiel > Zaharakis/Pearce and move Kennedy to mids bench

then can grab Zorks next week?

only problem if I do this trade, I'll miss out on a super premo mid like a Stanton or Watson or S Thommo and will have at least wait another 3 trades as the Zaha trade will leave me 66k.. tough one
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 16, 2012, 11:18:13 PM
With Horsley & McDonald, forget about the mid upgrades.

Better off finishing the FWD line now, and setting your team up structurally for the byes.  Back line is solid, just need to fix fwds.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team

bloody sheedy. smith and kennedy out also bundy christensen and smedts as well..

Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 18, 2012, 02:23:59 PM
Don't take the donut, grab zorko early.

Kennedy > Zaharackis
Shiel/Smith > Zorko

Surely won't be sub again.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team

haha won 1 game by not much.. better then 0..

trades were just shiel > zaha

now onto this round..

murphy & swan out..ouch, 15 trades and only 66k left.. def keeping swan but moving murphy

looking at :

dal santo
cotchin
micthell
dangerfeld then dpp him into the fwds
shuey

looking at zorko for kennedy probably..and banking some cash..thoughts?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team

Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 21, 2012, 10:09:02 PM
haha again? lol ok, yeah Missed Zorko's ton but may not of started him anyways..

teams as is 15 trades left 66k as well

Goddard,Deledio,Heppall,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Bugg(morris,ellis)

Ablett,Swan,Murphy,Selwood,Conigilo,Horsley(jmac,kennedy)

HMac,Giles, (big o,redden)

Frankin,Sidebottom,Zaharakis,Martin,Christensen,Harvey,Porplyzia,(smith,smedts,)
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: mmark on May 21, 2012, 11:07:29 PM
I like Murphy > Dangerfield then next week Porplyzia > Dal Santo/Cotchin. Danger is ripping it up at the moment and is set for a few more large price rises. If you miss him this week it might be hard to get him in for a while.

The following week you can swing him into the forwards to replace Porplyzia. Dal Santo and Cotchin have higher breakevens so even though they should get price rises it will be offset by Porplyzia's rise.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 22, 2012, 12:01:09 AM
yeah that's what I'm thinking re Danger.. scoring better then most at the moment just hope he doesn't flop against Collingwood. getting Zorko for kennedy only frees up 133k for porps upgrade next week.. porps is almost luxury trade at the moment.. prefer him over boomer at the moment
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 22, 2012, 09:48:28 PM
hmm,

murphy > cotchin with 1 trade

murphy > danger 1 trade 500 bux left over

murphy > s thomo + kennedy > zorko
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 28, 2012, 12:22:28 AM
Ended up going Murphy > Thomo, Bundy > Zorko

scored 1912.. dropped 10k what a year

team as is 13 trades 259k left

Goddard,Deledio,Heppall,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Bugg(morris,ellis)

Ablett,Swan,Thompson,Selwood,Zorko,Horsley(jmac,Conigilo)

HMac,Giles, (big o,redden)

Frankin,Sidebottom,Zaharakis,Martin,Harvey,Porplyzia,Smith(kennedy,smedts,)

no idea this week either? maybe upgrade Bugg or Morris.. would love to upgrade Cogs to JPK or Watson or even Cotchin/Dal
Could do Cogs > Dal and Bugg > Adcock but that's risky.. may wait for Priddis.. backline needs more attention i guess? thoughts?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: Ringo on May 28, 2012, 08:28:15 AM
How about Bugg to Scotland helps with byes.

Then perhaps Kennedy to Sexton for cash.

Just a suggestion for you.  I am waiting till after Round 11 bye to get Priddis in just hoping he does not have a blinder against us this week and remains under $500k.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on May 28, 2012, 08:35:31 PM
yeah as suggested elsewhere i can go Cogs > Priddis and Bugg > Suckling?? Reckon Priddis could be on a run.. mind you tempting to grab the premo back using kennedy > sex and hoping Cogs holds or loses minimal cash..
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: Ringo on May 28, 2012, 08:45:42 PM
Is it worth getting Priddis in this week with a bye next week? Just something to consider. You will have Thompson, Priddis Zorko and J Mac all with round 11 bye.
Another suggestion for this week if it suits your bye structure Cogs to Scotland leaving Scotland in the mids and then Bugg to Darley.  For Round 12 Upgrade Ellis/Morris to Priddis through Scotland.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team

hmm, good point there.. forgot we are upto byes already..Darley any good? haven't notcied him since he has got a game..
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on May 28, 2012, 09:21:53 PM
I would go Bugg > Darley

Then start upgrading all those GWS rookies in the mids & forwards to set your team up for the byes.

Means you will lose points on a sucky D7 though for while you set your team up.

Looked good in the game against Brisbane from what I observed at the ground. Played on Karnezis from memory with 19 touches and 4 marks for the game and 82 SC points.  Was sub last week. Really love GWS Rotations through sub not.

ahh still torn between 2 sets of double trades..

Bugg > Scotland + Morris > Darley + 237k (upgrade Cogs to a mid 500k roughly)

or

Bugg > Darley + Cogs > Dal Santo + 317k (could get any premo mid) then upgrade Morris next week or after

which mid? go all out? or grab the bargain, Dal Santo?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: Jay on May 30, 2012, 12:10:19 AM
haha yeah easy as that...reason being Dal Santo is at a bargain price of 500k and has a b/e o 60 so will rise a heck of a load this week, time to jump on...and thats exactly what I think you should do!

just noticed no pendles! :O he is a must but then again Dal could he as well at his price...

Gotta weigh up:
•Dal at 500k- down 120k from starting price- WILL rise this week + 133k
•Pendles at 630k- down 70k from starting proce- SHOULD rise this week

NDS is a "safe" pick.

However, I think this is the year to think outside the box and pick players from teams on the "up", rather than the traditional Judd/NDS/Mitchell "safe" picks with proven scoring history.

or

be lucky to crack 2000

played Horse over Zorko - fail
Malceski dropped get Ellis's 68
Thompson 58
Lake fail
D Smith wall
Boomer fail
porps struggling
still carrying HMac
only 11 trades left

green light at the end of the tunnel

Get Swan and Heppall back hopefully
have 317k to upgrade a back and prob Horse or double back upgrade
Ablett always (c)
Clarke a solid DEF 7

well, this year is almost a write off.. worst since my debut year in 08

figured i pretty much have to keep

Giles - going good enough plus durable at the moment
Clarke - avging around 80
Lake - likewise although weekend was awful
Porps - doing ok as a F7
Malceski - 50/50
thing that is saving me is the cash.. 317k if all goes well i can grab Priddis, Birch/Broughton at least
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on June 05, 2012, 12:25:58 AM
Tough one.  I think have to wait for Thursday teams for this one.

Didn't realise how expensive Maric is now....

Kennedy/Smith/McDonald have doubts wehther we are going to see them after the bye.  Probably close to topped out anyway.
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on June 05, 2012, 12:31:10 AM
yeah sure is tough.. trades are flying away..

Maric yeah for a guy avging 110 he is very pricey compared to Ryder who is avging the same and Roughy who could end up avging the same if all goes well for him..

RE Kennedy/Smith/JMac - i have my doubts.. in particular Kennedy and J Mac. Reckon Ken's shoulder is bothering him and JMac must be due for another rest again..

yep, all about the teams.. thinking if J Red and Big O named again i may very well keep HMac for a while longer  :-\

If Redden & Orren are named, you can also take Naitanui in R12 next week.  Means no donuts in R12/13.

Would probably look at Kennedy > Sexton at this stage.

You interested in any R13 forwards at all (Robbo/Nick Riewoldt/etc).  Or not really?
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on June 05, 2012, 07:57:39 PM
hmm. interesting call on Sexton. Hasn't he jumped on value already? I don't fancy Elliot playing too many games. And Black is too pricey. Oh well, may have to hold Kennedy. I like Nat and reckon he could be a good pick.

With the rd 13 fwds.. hmm, not sure. Robbo's alright but don't fancy him a hell of alot. Still think he is inconsistant and Carlton are rock bottom at the moment. NRoo? hmm im not quite sure. not many options hey
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: HotTiges on June 05, 2012, 11:49:17 PM
another trade plan is

weighing up doing a double back upgrade depending on Malceski

could go
Malceski > Broughton (reversed from rd 3  :-[ ) & Morris > Birchall

Backs would be done assuming Clarke can hold his own..

Deledio, Goddard, Broughton, Birchall, Heppall, Lake, Clarke (ellis, darley)
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: charliesheen on June 06, 2012, 01:48:15 AM
Doesn't help with the r11 donuts.  Just keep Malceski for now assuming he is named.

Trade plan definitely needs to revolve around offloading McDonald, Smith, Kennedy.

1396 won 4/5 leagues.. pretty happy

Team is

Goddard,Deledio,Heppell,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Darley(morris,ellis)

Ablett,Swan,Selwood,S Thompson,NDS,JMac (smith,horse)

Giles,Redden(HMac,Big O)

Franklin,Sidebottom,Martin,ZAHARAKIS ,Boomer,Porplyzia,Zorko(kennedy,smedts

injuries highlighted.. could keep hmac for a while, don't trust Big O for a score. Redden scores ok but hardly gets a game which is rubbish as I rate him over Renouf..

Zaha has to go

Back's need an upgrade and 1 donut coming but now worried about Ellis's JS

Mids could be set if I get Priddis

Fwds are just injury riddled..
Title: Re: HotTiges SC team
Post by: Ringo on June 11, 2012, 09:58:47 PM
I am assuming you have the $317k in kitty and 11 trades

I would look at Zaha to Priddis (using trading room and horse) Completes mids and leaves cash 369k
Then H Mac to Nic Nat as a straight swap.
Ellis/Morris to Sam Shaw who is on bubble.
Byes effected players would be
Backs: Heppell Malceski, Clarke 1 donut (Maybe look at Clarke/Ellis to a prem Round 11 player if suits team Hurn, Adcock Drummond or similar (Waters is suspended so take donut if does not suit team) Only if not doing H Mac trade,

looks a good plan..dont quite know what "using trading room and horse" means.. i was originally looking at Horse > Priddis.. HMac is an interesting if redden gets named again i could still use Giles/Redden combo I suppose. Is Sam Shaw worth it? i'm not sure on him. Prob could cop a back donut but do need to move on one of Ellis/Morris before rd 13 as that's 2 byes.. Morris more likely.. Adcock or Hurn I think are the 2 options there. Would like Waters though but means waiting an extra week.. so maybe Morris > Waters rd 13? tough week ahead!

Trading room the new trade they introduced this year.

When selecting player to trade eg  Zaha Click on him and then the s beside Horse then you can trade Zaha to a midfielder.

oh yeah.. know what ya mean.. plan looks good..all depends on horse i guess?

so whats ya thoughts on Sam Shaw?

Think he is in favour with Sanderson given that he has been picked over some proven backs.  Had an injury so I suspect JS is better than a lot of options. Will be probably going Morris to Shaw myself.

ahh k wondered why it's taken a while for his 2nd game..

what ya think on

Zaha > Danger or Beams (rd 13)
Horse > Priddis
Morris > Shaw

gives me 267k to get a back upgrade and replace HMac

Looks good Only comment I will make is with Zaha rumoured to be returning in 4 weeks may be worth keeping if confirmed to save trade. (one of the weeks will be bye so in effect only 3 matches)  Can upgrade later if required and trades allow. In saying that Zaha to either Beams oir Danger is a good trade.

yeah someone commented on that if ya low on trades prob worth keeping Zaha and upgrade elsewhere.. what ya reckon about getting NicNat for HMac or just trust Giles and Redden/Big o?

If comfortable with trades you have left would do the trade.  Just personal but I think both Goldy and Mac struggle when in the same team with Petrie.

yeah got 11 which is not great..

def wanna do Horse > Priddis and finish mids

Morris > S Shaw prob worth it

either going to do HMac > NicNat or get a rd 11 premo back but not alot of options only Hurn or Adcock ..

Thats one more than me.  In same predicament in defence as you not a lot to like about Round 11 defenders with Waters suspended.  Will wait till next week and may look at bringing in Grimes as a roughy at a lower price.
Priddis will be the most traded in player this week imo as to will be Shaw if named.

yeah. rather get Broughton, MJ or Fisher after injury and Bye..

so far priddis and nic nat in with horsely and hmac making way..

leaves me with 168k / 9 trades

still deciding weather or not to trade Morris > S Shaw to get extra cash but would leave me with 8 trades..

2131 this round.. pretty bloody happy..

Team is with 8 trades 341k left

Heppell,Malceski,Lake,Clarke,Shaw,Darley,Ellis(goddard,deledio)

Swan,Selwood,S Thompson,Priddis,JMac,D Smith (ablett,NDS)

NicNat,Giles(redden,Big O)

Sidebottom,Boomer,Porplyzia,Zorko,Kennedy,Zaharakis,Smedts(Martin,Franklin)

highlighted the donuts.
Think it's time to upgrade the backs. Plan to keep Zorko as f7 for now. Porps looking better each week as well..
Not sure on what backs.. Suckling looking great value. Carrots after bye, likewise with Fisher.. Broughton and M Jonhson looking good and consistent for Freo.. or is it time to move on Zaha?

Ellis to Waters, Hurn or Adcock if this week or as you say can wait for Carrots.
If you want to get rid of Smedts you could go Smedts to Gibson via Smith for extra cash
Should leave you enough cash to go Kennedy to Johnson, Chapman or Pav,

Couple of suggestions

Ellis to MJ to maximize MPP.

Just curious, if you also went Zaha > Cloke, how much cash is left over?

thanks for the suggestions Ringo. Id like to get Waters but i get worried he gets reported too often. Great stats though and can score big. Hurn I think is an ok pick.Doesn't score big like he should. Adcock? hmm.. may of missed his bargain price.. thoughts on getting Broughton back in or MJ? Smedts may get a game two with Stringer gone. Could offload JMac for Gibson next week?

I think Ellis > MJ for now, then wait and see who gets named on Thursday before making further decisions

team with 7 trades and 185k remaining

not sure what to do next, Clarke is surely going this week. Looking at Suckling and cash left over or going all out and getting Scotland (cant get waters) My FWD line is stuffed.. Zaha is still injured, Harvey and Porps look like i have to keep them.. dsmith falling away as well.. so I'm in a pickle fellas.. what ya think??
