greg broughton is either incredibly unfit, incredibly lazy or carrying an injury
he is playing a midfield role tonight and while he is often around the ball he lacks a real intensity to get into contests and fight for the footy. So many time so many times i have seen him walking around when he is 20-30m in fron of a kick taker, instead of leading. When the ball goes contested he sits on the outside, but not in a position where he will get the ball. He might get down on his kees and pretend to get into the contest by putting a hand on the player with the ball but he has been so lazy
I compare him to ballantyne who although he is a pain is in almost every contests and runs all night. I reckon broughton has to drink more red cordial before matches because he has very little intensity
One of the main reasons why I traded him out, although it was to Birch, so I can't celebrate too much!

i thought he scored crap coz he was playing lockdown but he just looks really unfit. He plays in very short bursts it is sooooo annoying to watch. I am screaming at the tv like flower you greg broughton get in the flowering contest you fat flower
its the reason i got rid of him, he has played n the midfield all year.

he was lazy it simple, i hated the way he played, he got lucky got some chrap ball
wouldnt be suprised if he is carrying a leg injury, he was really slow around the ground, didnt want to go into contests and even when there were options to kcik to he would handball
he wont get ucky every week and i dont see him as a top 7 defender so will trade him
I was at the game (umpiring on both sides was dreadful). Brouhhton was not playing shutdown at all. Nearly all his time was in the mids and he tackled well but was slow and wasn't making space for himself.
well he got moved to defence in last quarter and played much better because he was forced to get to contests and win the footy
when he was in mids was walking to contests and not getting in a good poition
Very happy with his last 2 weeks... At his price hes starting to pay off now.
Seriously theres not much better in the rnd 12 byes in the backline.. happy i kept the lad.

I was weary of this but you have to be honest to yourself, he wasnt in the best players. He got lots of the ball but sprayed it a lot. He could have got a lot more tho and got some very very lucky touches

the definition of junk time is when a game is basically over so stats and goals don't matter. simply because it is the last quarter does not make it junk. his goal was match winning.

lets start with the lucky possessions
he was sitting outside packs waiting for cheap ball and waiting for the ball to land in his hands. He wasnt fighting for his own ball so yes indeed he was (here we go with the flower garden) flowering lucking to get flowering 20+ touches when he baerly put his best into this flowering game. While guys like flowering pearce and flowering ballantyne were flowering going into packs flowering head down and hard at the flowering ball he would sit outside the flowering pack and wait for a flowering cheap ball
now onto the draft. I never said a flowering word about the flowering draft so dont pull that one out on me you flower head. Broughton can be a lot better player than he is atm he has been terrible this year but on one hand ypu could say no one is flowering lucky to get drafted but on the other you cpould go ther complete other flowering direction (not one direction coz thats gay)
a lot of flowering juniors miss out on the chance to get drafted and a lot put in soo much more to get a flowering chance and then break a leg or do a knee in flowering draft year so yes broughton is lucky to get drafted and he is wasting the flowering oppourtunity he flowering got by walking to contests.
now onto the flowering junk time. You guys flowered this outta context. Me and tiges were talking about broughts lifting, he picked up his game and was starting to find more of the ball, broughts kicked a goal to seal the game so yes the game was won and i said junk time as a throw away so go flower yourself. He scored 30+ point in the last flowering quarter, he was picking up his game and it was because he was put down back where he ws forced to go for the ball rather than walk
now onto my team. I have planned my team out unlike you motherflowerers sooooo yes i do want the top 7 in each position in each of my lines. atm i dont see broughton as a top 10 so i will trade him out for a better option. With goddard be going up i will wait a few weeks for broughts to rise and god to drop then do the flowering trade

Traditionally he has scored well late in games. He also picks up a lot of loose marks/kicks in the backline.

Who cares if Broughton is rubbish. He scored 92 which will b a lot more than some other backs this week.
Personally I think Boyd is a bad player as his disposal is very poor but that doesn't stop him from being one of the first picked in my team each week as he gets good dt scores.
In this forum players should be judged on dt scoring ability and broughton is good in this regard. also if he is unfit as u say imagine how he'll chop when he gets fit.
I think you'll find if you watch the highlights of the match that broughton was extremely tough at the ball tonight. He was in and under the packs and getting the tough balls. I don't agree with a lot of the comments FARK has made...sounds like a hater to me

25 disposals, 3rd best last night for Freo in terms of the number of possessions and IMO was benched a LOT.
He was very good in parts and not so good in other parts, but definitely was in Freo's top 6 or 7 players last night! kicked a very good goal in Q4 but did give away a few silly free kicks.
but overall, if I had him, I'd be very pleased with his 92.
only thing to be wary of, if Fyfe comes back next week.. what will happen to his role and his scores?

I reckon his mind games played a strong part in freo winning last night. all week Clint jones was probably expecting to tag fyfey and when he didn't play he had to adjust and play on hill who absolutely ripped the saints a new one on the second half and was massive.

Haha FARK, Broughton kicked the match winning goal, that's hardly junk time. He would have also scored alot better of not for 3 FA and a shower K:H ratio.

I'm a Freo member boys and I love Greggy B or more accurately Bro Town. He has however tended to carry quad injuries throughout his career. There is no point him leading for the ball really because he's to slow! His thing is reading the play and knowing where to waddle to. From memory mondays paper stats showed he only had 69% odd time on ground, tends to say he may be carrying something and obviously makes it hard to score.
I can empathise with F.A.R.K.s argument, it's hard keeping a player when you don't like how they go about it. I traded him out after his first couple of weeks!
In saying that I watched the tigers on sunday and thought there were a heap of times when lids could have worked hard to get into space or just commit that bit more, was really getting to me, I honestly think he could have got 30= more points. But in the end I think he had about 32 touches, he's playing AFL and I'll be looking at getting a game in C grade reserves in a couple of weeks!

I have to agree with salver11, he has some good points. It's true that you have to be careful who you pick to trade and who you want to keep, but it's also important to trade if you realize that they don't go about it! If you keep this in mind and check their website (http://www.serenataflowers.com/Flowers-delivered), nothing can go wrong :)
