Good call - but you made enough of them that surely one had to pay off! ;)
Will certainly be keeping an eye on Drummond/Higgins now though haha

It's just my opinion. Feel free to disagree and disregard it.
The Higgo thread is a joke. I was just trying to tempt people into making the same mistake AGAIN.
Drummond will be back this week. Jump on.

Was pulling your leg mate!

On Ward - He can definitely find the ball and uses it well. Is suited to SC, yet would be more effective in a top 8 team obviously (influencing scores etc). For this reason I can't see him being a top 10 mid, yet CAN see him lifting his average above 100, after a solid year in 2011.

** Top 10 mids last year all averaged 113+ in SC

I think Ward could almost get there.

What made me seriously consider him is the fact that he'll probably play 22 games, while most other teams will be tempted to rest their stars. Collingwood for example simply cannot play the same team in round 4 and 5 when they have a 4 day break. Swanny loved the mid year break. Hawthorn showed they like to rest their guns. The Cats have a resting policy that worked perfectly and helped win them a flag and the top teams like WC and Carl might be tempted to try the same thing.

Which makes S. Thompson a very tempting upgrade target! Could be onto something there, I chose many of my players due to their past durability (Priddis, Pendles etc) yet who knows what stupidity these AFL coaches will be driven to come mid-season!
