defenders : Scotland, goddard, deledio, birchall, malceski, ellis, bugg (townsend, morris)
mids : Watson, boyd, thompson, rockliff, coniglio, shiel (mcdonald, magner)
rucks : Mumford, Giles (big o, redden)
fwds : franklin, martin, sidebottom, danger, fyfe, porps, smith ( cameron, hall)
pretty solid team with unique premium mids. i like the watson pick, he's underpriced and i think he'll dominate this year... if he can stay on the park
none of the big 3, its a ballsy move.. who will be your captain? boyd? or will u just change it from week to week depending on opposition?
Scotland, Goddard, Deledio and Birchall? 2 Donuts straight upright there.

he never said he was going for overall, but yes u dont want to many premiums from the same bye in the same line

Not necessarily. He can move two of them into the mids come Round 13.
Your real problem, evanwc, is the three mid premiums with the Round 11 bye - they can't go anywhere. Perhaps swap one for another Round 12 bye premium (not Round 13 as you have the defenders to accommodate)?
Lovely unique mids, BTW.

Where did he say he's not going for overall?? Even if going for leagues, he will still cop 2 donuts in rd 13 and will probs result in a loss...

Chance of him having two mid/def players bye rd 13 is like very unlikely.

yeah he didnt say he was or wasnt thats true, but looking at his bye problems. one would think he wasnt.
if hes going for league then byes are of no importance, so he drops rd.13 he makes up for it in the other 2 bye weeks.
i was not having a go at ya whatlez, its just when people put up their team, they really need to specify what they are trying to achieve for the year. since there is a difference in strategies and initial team set-ups.
and to Mezzoculo, how can he move 2 premium backs into mid without a dpp link in the mids?

They can both be swapped across when trading out midfield cashcows prior to Round 13.
I wouldn't do it (or recommend it) but its not impossoble.

oh ok, but then he will have to move them back to the right positions after the bye... yeah i wouldnt do it either
Yeah I don't get that rading rule still... Does that mean if I have Goddard I can trade him to Swan in the mids and then who replaces him in the backs?

Yes. But if you want to trade him to Swan, Goddard needs to be in the mids.
How does that work? That just seems normal?

if u have god in the backs, u could get rid of a rookie mid, then move goddard to the mids and buy yourself a backmen for example..
so instead of the trades being direct its now a 2 part process, does that make sense? :P (think i may have just confused myself)
lol, but does that mean you have to use two trades for this to work?

Sorry, wasn't clear.
Starting team:
DEF: Goddard, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
MIDS: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, JMac. <---
No DPPs hereTrade scenario:
Step 1 - trade out JMac:
DEF: Goddard, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
MIDS: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, empty.
Step 2 - activate Goddard's DPP:
DEF: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, empty.
MIDS: Goddard, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
Step 3 - trade in Swan for Goddard:
DEF: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, empty.
MIDS: Swan, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
Step 4 - trade in defender to fill gap:
DEF: Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
MIDS: Swan, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.
Hopefully that helps.
Ok both of your examples seem different, or is it me ??? :(

They're the same. I just added in the 'trade Goddard to Swan' bit.

no not for the example i used,,, so basically you trade a mid for a back ( and goddard moves from one spot to the other) just a single trade
Meh I'm lost...
I like how this was brought up on a rate my DT lol.

ok its not a trade thread, but let me put it this way...
a trade is a sell and a buy=1 trade,, this year u can sell then rearrange your team however u like(within the players allocated position) so DPP's can move into the empty spot(at this point u will only have 29 players) then once u are happy with the set-up, you buy a player to fill where ever the empty spot is in your team.
so for a double trade u can first sell two players, move people around then buy two players.. its a way better system
whatlez, you cash in a mid rookie, then move god to that position, and trade in a defender to where god came from.
previously you had to cash in your mid rookie, and get a mid player who was mpp, so you could swap him with god [ie
prev. you traded out a mid, you traded in a mid, now you trade out a mid, you can virtually trade in a mid , def, or forw
Ok Monday next week, I'll experiment since you get to undo trades 8)
wow! cheers for all the feedback lads, i gotta admit i didnt pay too much attention to the byes but ive done some changing around. new team is
defenders : Goddard, shaw, lids, broughton, malceski, ellis, bugg ( morris, townsend)
mids : pendles, ablett, thomspon, boyd, coniglio, shiel (magner, mcdonald.)
rucks : mummy, jiles
forwards : Franklin, fyfe, martin, sidebottom, hale. porplyzia, smith (hall, cameron)
:D
The mids aren't so unique anymore, but I like your inclusion of Hale. He could be this year's Petrie.
i think thompson is a pretty good unique and i had loads of extra cash so i decided to get ablett as i had him last year and he never did anything wrong

But not as unique as: Watson, Boyd, Thompson, Rockliff.
Not a critique, just an observation.
cheers dude :) should i keep rockliff over ablett?
I wouldn't. Ablett is underpriced this year.
