Thinking I might go in with a bit of a stronger team this week. Gave the fringe players a chance to impress last week and a few of them wasted it, so it's time for the big boys to show them how it's done :D

Zip PB had already named your team in the correct thread ::)
C4, you have given me Goodesy as VC and stolen Masten and given him to Maca as his VC.
Think it should be the other way round.

All scores from both Friday night games have been posted. :)

Nick Smith will be subbed off for Lee Spurr after a mediocre performance.

Higgins was my sub for a reason. Playing WHE and Sinclair in the mids, and Sexton forward was going to dish up at least one lousy score. Higgo can replace someone on either line, and he is going to do just that. Sinclair subbed off for Higgins.
The wellington Warriors will sub Michael Doughty off for Sam Butler

Unfortunately, that isn't how the sub rule works.
You can only activate your sub if the team your sub plays for HASN'T already played. Since Fremantle has already played, I'm afraid you can't activate your sub.
Plus, Nick Lower didn't play in the match which means you would have ended up with your first emergency taking his place had you of activated the sub.
I see.... Guess I haven't been following this week's footy much at all as I thought Freo were yet to come -_-.
Well I will activate my sub.
Mitch Wallis on for Jon Griffin :)

Happens to the best of us RB.
Your sub activation is noted.
Hmm perhaps I should have subbed of Lowden instead of Griffin. He hasn't moved off 12 since half time...
On the bright side at least Sumner is smashing it and he will come on to replace Harwood and Whitecross is also going well :D
I'm glad that Miles and Swallow had great games...
...on the downside, how the hell did I forget to include Clifton? ???
Oh well, that's what the pre-season is for!
Are clubs allowed to change their team lists before the game?
I know for a fact that Zach Tuohy and Cameron Shenton weren't named for Carlton and St Kilda when I checked the teams on Thursday, but now they have both played today...

According to this they are both listed...and this was posted on the AFL's website on Friday night, well before today's games.

I just noticed that the big Q stick was named, yet his name has disappeared off that list I provided along with the fact he's not playing currently. Now I triple-checked to make sure all my players were named, but I think what has happened is those squads that were provided to us on Thursday (for the Sat/Sun games) were provisional, and that teams had up until Friday night to make any changes. After which the late change rule would come into effect.
A little annoying... >:(
Yeah probably. Also just looked and Tuohy could have been named on the Thursday, but I didn't see his name since they spelt is wrong!
His name is Tuohy, not Touhy ::)
Also what's the deal with Silvagni? Been named the last 2 weeks but has played at all... :(

Looks like I could be in for a score of 100+ in my match, well going by DT scores anyway. Just need Mitch Wallis to score 43 for me to crack the 1000 mark :)

Right all scores from today have been posted. With one game to go (Nth v Dogs) here are the scenarios:
Islanders vs. Spetsnaz: 210 vs. Bastinac + Dickson + Liberatore + Jo. Roughead + Higgins
Magpies vs. Bears: Griffen (C) + L. Anthony + Roberts vs. 38 + Lake + R. Tarrant + A. Swallow (C) + Veszpremi + Kruezer's replacement (yet to be determined)
Sands vs. Suns: Adams + Goldstein + Crozier's replacement (YTBD) vs. 24 + Mattner's replacement (YTBD)
Tigers vs. Cobras: 81 + Harvey + Gia vs. L. Thomas + E. Wood
Warriors vs. Reindeers: 24 + McIntosh vs. J. Grant + K. Simpson's replacement (YTBD) + Graham's replacement (YTBD)
Pumas vs. Wolves: 385 + Wallis vs. Pedersen + Ziebell + Wright + Edwards + Harper
Armadillos vs. Brewers:C. Smith vs. 33 + Wells
My predictions:
Spetsnaz are just in front.
Bears to win.
Sands to win.
Tigers to win.
Warriors and Reindeers are too close to call.
Pumas to win.
Armadillos and Brewers are too close to call.
Some closes games again this week...
...I honestly can't believe the Armadillos are still in it, yet have 2 donuts on the field! :o
Once I have updated the scores and calculated the results, I will announce the two teams that will play in the pre-season friendly grand final and then we can also organise a third friendly if people want to. :D

I've also just noticed that Petrie is no longer playing today...even though he was listed when the team sheets first came out. Very very annoying. There goes my chance of a victory against the Spetsnaz.
Looks like we have to be very careful when looking at the team sheets that the AFL releases now...they seem to change without any notification.

Currently, the Bears are in, but then it's going to close between the Sands and the Pumas I reckon for the second spot.
Yup! Poor showing from the boys :/
Liam Anthony is killing it. Keeps us in the ball game Ossie.

Well, my original thought was that smith needed to beat him by 100 points, which means Wells on 14 isn't good. Only then did i relaise that we get another 66 from Swan coz he's our VC, and Boyd didn't play, coz Smith only needed to win by 34.
Three results are in!
The Spetsnaz defeated the Islanders by 3 points.
The Bears defeated the Magpies by 10 points.
The Sands deafted the Suns by 11 points.

Yep that must be the reason! I guess they don't want the winner of the first season also winning the pre season cup cos then everyone would lose interest :P
Okay. All results from this week have been posted.
Congratulations to the Spetsnaz, Bears, Suns, Tigers, Reindeers, Pumas and the Arm-how-the-heck-did-you-win-adillos for their wins this weekend.
A special congrats to the Sands, Tigers and the Pumas for all cracking the tons.
A special commiseration for the Brewers who lost by 2 whole points. 811 to 809. :o Ouch. :-\
I'm calculating the ladder at the moment and will let you know of the Grand Finalists shortly. :)

hehe, we win! :P If we actually had 15 players on the park (not 12) then we may have been in the GF, but a big win from teh Pumas, Bears and two solid wins from the Sands means it's out of those 3. Still, great to be one of only 4 sides undefeated. :D *touchwood*

Yeah no worries. What I'm not happy about is how inaccurate my players were in front of goal! 13.26 is not good enough!! I think my players have been spending too much time with the locals playing the round ball game in their spare time. As much as I encourage promoting our team by getting amongst it with the locals I may have to stop that if the goal kicking problems aren't fixed!
From now on before they can leave the training field they have to score a goal from both pockets and 1 from the 50!
Right, ladies and gentlemen, the ladder for the pre-season friendlies has been confirmed....
