Title: dogs dressed as cats
Post by: browny_wce on February 01, 2012, 07:03:23 PM
with McCartney at the dogs and his experience 11 years with Geelong and another year at the Bombers still under Bomber (witnessing a similar style of play being shown to a new team) do you think this will be the Year of the Dog
Cheaps Doggies who have shon in the past include:
Lake
Hargrave
Gilbee

these guys could kick ass if the run and carry style of play is brought to the Dogs

nab cup....FTJ!!

I really rate McCartney, I think the dogs will definately show improvement under this year.  A couple of those guys you mention could surprise a few people.

Skills have been a real issue with the doggies. Kicking accuracy around the ground especially. Not sure what they will do about their 3rd and 4th quarter slowdowns.

I would be more worried about them not being injured! those 3 had a shocking 2011 so not sure where there at atm.

I am not considering Lake but maybe players like Grant and Gia (maybe moving into the middle again?) for me...

yeah gia's interesting el exspecially with that rd11 bye for the fwds, he's been on the watchlist for an upgrade target for a while nd if he goes into the mid instead of that forward pocket role he's had on nd and off last few seasons he'll b very very tempting
