Looking at all of the sides being posted here not one has Ryan Griffen in them.
Over the last 5 years he has kept on improving with the following averages;
2007 - 55
2008 - 78
2009 - 85
2010 - 91
2011 - 98
Last year he recorded career high disposals and tackles while also scoring 24 goals. Over the last 4 years he has also missed minimal games.
This year he's priced alongside Watson, Swallow and Monty. At 25 and hitting his peak powers, you can only presume that he's going to average over 100 this year.
Is Griffen going to step up again this year to top 10 midfield elite keeper status or his he going to be one the guys that still just below the guns?
To warrant a pick you'd be hoping so. It'd be tough to choose him. But he will improve. But a 105+ average is what you need.
I'm on him. Not many people have him so quite unique
IMO
from highest average to lowest
1. Watson
2. Swallow
3. Montagna
4. Griffen
Hadn't considered him until now but if he kills it in the Nab cup i'll consider him, would have to edge out of one of either selwood or murphy in my midfield but nothing beats picking up a unique player that turns into superstar (Rockliiff for me last year).
Last year everyone was keen on him, but haven't seen him in many sides this year...
Unique picks are always good so it might be worth the risk of getting him.
he is a much higher percentage of the swans and the abletts this year than Rocky and Redden were last year
Had him in SC last few years where he excels. Not really a DT player but maybe a good POD...
I like the look of him for a sneaky unique. Maybe 2013- his ceiling for this year is under 108 imo, which isn't what you really want for a mid at his price :(
