Poll
Question:
Who do i bench out of these options?
Option 1: J Riewoldt (vs MELB)
Option 2: N Riewoldt (vs SYD)
Option 3: T Mzungu (vs KAN)
Option 4: C Sylvia vs (RICH)
Option 5: D Petrie (vs FRE)
Only going to be missing CHAPPY this week due to the bye from geelong.
Can replace him with either MZUNGU (Vs North @ ES) or YARRAN (Vs Hawthorn @ ES)
Thinking that MZUNGU V north will get more of the footy as hawks will most likley play a defensive forward on YARRAN.
I am guessing a few others will be in the boat with CHAPPY/SELWOOD this week also.
Tough decision this. Hawks don't generally place a hard tag on a back, so maybe wouldn't be a bad idea to back Yarran. Mzungu & Yarran could potentially score similar numbers, though I would be inclined to back Yaz who has been in good form.
Here are some numbers against the Hawks
S.Fisher 156
H.Shaw 105
L.Davis 106
R.Murphy 107
M.Scarlett 107
S.Hill 106 <--- this is pretty telling, they don't hard tag
I'm with Charlie, Hawks rarely put on the kind of tag that affects Yarran. The only way he won't score is if his fwd opponent gets alot of it and worries him to focus more on keeping him quiet. Mzungu was pretty good again last week so I think he is good for around 80 or more.
Sounds strange but if your opponent is tough this week, go Yarran for the chance of a bigger score. If you feel you have him covered, I think Mzungu is good for a safe 80+
Muzungu versus Nth Melb the better option and i reckon he's in better form tbh.
Yarran had a 139 a couple back which makes it hard to look over but V the Hawks
will he sniff that or not. Goodluck not a bad problem to have.
Yarran might get the gig on Rioli, who else have they got to go with Junior boy?
Definitely Mzungu!
What about this one?
JRoo v I.Smith.
JRoo is looking pretty good, only got 2 goals last game but still managed a 97, and a 94 against West Coast the game before that.
But Smith... 3 round average of 101, (even if it was against Freo, North and Port).
Leaning towards Krak - home and vs terrible team.
Mzungu on current form.

who should i be starting?? normally i would go for smith + mzungu, but with krakour playing port adelaide...
wait, i mean coll are playing brisbane.. sorry!
a forth option could be luke dahlhaus (v port adelaide)
thoughts people??
A similar poll - Mzungu v Krak v Heppell was voted by our esteemed Fanfooty addicts as 5 - 1 - 0.
Hope that helps

+1, even if they go with the YARRAN on RIOLI matchup i don't see that impacting YARRAN too much as RIOLI will not be looking for him on the way out of defensive 50 he is too attacking.
Interesting one also is POO Vs HEPPELL, with Essendon playing West coast @ PS then i cant see HEPPELL pulling big numbers. POO has been good of late and could slide under the radar of the Blues and kick a couple of important goals.
You're right, that is a tough one....
But I think I'll back Heppell to light up the show over in the West.
I think Poo will need to play very very tightly on Garlett/Betts. Bit nervous about him this week.
Having a major dilemma picking between these three guys to fill one spot. Smith and Mzungu's form has been good in recent weeks but I have the Nick Lower factor in the back of my mind of putting faith in rookies over proven campaigners (even if that proven campaigner's form has been shisen!) Any advice appreciated!
Cheers

just bench nick lower. do you have any other rookies in the back you can play?
Lower Vs Puopolo??
who to start as D7 for rnd 22
Puopolo v carlon
Lower v n.m
Cheers
Lower bad score last week and have North at Edihad
Puopolo good score last week and have Carlton at Edihad
Please don't just read, leave a comment and help a guy out :)
Lower for me! He has a history of bouncing back hard!
Just curious has Nick Lower ever been subbed off outside of PS?
Harvey has been quoted as saying players may get dropped. If lower listed low on bench, he may be the sub this week. (mundy prob will be sub though) Having said that, i think he is good for at least 80 and potentially much more. Seems to prefer playing easier, big bodied teams with less pace. Will get more than puopolo this week imo.
So Lower's sub history is quite worrying. Should I stick with him as D7 this week or go Puopolo instead?
I wouldn't lower my standards
stick with him, even though i hate him after he buckled me out of finals in supercoach :(
If it is who to start between Puopolo and Lower?
Current form suggests Pewy.
Current fixture suggest Pewy as he will get more ball with Carlton running into the Hawks backline quite a bit.
So who should I start in the backline? Pederson is amazing, but scored 22 on his last outing, Lower scored 10 last week but has a history of just randomly scoring 140, and Puopolo is playing well lately but is playing Carlton.
In the midfield I need to play one and I'm leaning towards Smith just because he's been really very good lately, Scully hasn't been in great form but I think he's capable of scoring huge this week.
In the forward line i need to play one and I am strongly considering Mzungu through recent form, but Krakouer playing Brisbane..
Any Thoughts??
Scully and Smith just miss out compared to Mzungu and Krakeour.
I think and hope that Scully will destroy Richmond this week. Had a tag last week and was good considering
Who would u start ?
At the moment I'm think Scully is due for a big one but who know....
Please give advice and needed
Or could start I.Smith against Catlton if u think it's better ????
Advice please
I would go scully.
I think melbourne have a pretty good h2h record against the tigers. So maybe 90-95 score I am thinking.
Id go Scully to, i doubt Smith will get as much easy footy as he did against Port.
I have a bit of flexibility with MMP to make a few choices, Bolton has the best Avg this week to start however his form has been very average lately, Dawes might be back this week against a easy Brisbane, and smith vs Carlton doesn't seem so bad but could be risky as well?
thoughts anyone?
Bolton is my pick.
Nice uniques! But Jude :)
Have to decide between these options this week
Play Didak & beinch Sylia or the other way :-\ ???
and
Play Jamar and bench Bailey or the other way :-\ ???
Any thoughts guys?
Didz and Jamar :)
who to play out of A otten and Heppel and n roo and j roo??

Hepz and NRoo I reckons
Thinking about benching NRoo again, I must be mad. Will leave it to last minute lol
Lower over and OUT
I need to start two on the ground.
Leaning toward JRoo and Sylvia, with Smith as an emergency.
Who to play? Nroo and Higgins
Higgins v Port, could be big numbers. Nroo v Sydney.
Yep, thats the way to go.
Have persisted with StNick with disappointing results. I realise that he has played well vs Sydney in the past but cannot afford to be disappointed this week. With Chapman on a bye my cover is Silvia, Mzungu, Krakouer and Darling. Not looking to trade ... thinking Mzungu but willing to be convinced that St Nick can deliver :-\ ... thoughts anyone
In some ways I wish I could bench nick too, but as a saints man I just can't bring myself to do it!
I think one of the players you named will outscore nick, but I can't tell you which one...
I'm in the same boat. Got Nick and Higgins as cover. Am thinking Higgins will get a lot of cheap ball vs Port. Opponent has the same forward line so thinking of starting Higgins as the POD. Gotta risk it to get the biscuit.

Looking a couple of other threads there are quite a few benching Nick this week ... having the appropiate cover (or trade) seems to be the issue. Silvia showed some glimpses in the 2nd half last week but Mzungu maybe the man
I always thought Nick was overrated and when I drafted him in about 6 weeks ago I told myself pick with your head not your heart. He hasn't let me down, always trying hard but having almost no influence of any game and scoring poorly. Chases kicks up the ground so doesn't kick goals and can't take a contested mark to save himself.
St.Kilda have missed their real captain this year, Lenny - now there's a bloke who everyone respects.
I"m struggling to decide which 2 of these FWDs to put on the field this week.
Leaning towards playing Higgins and Sylvia atm
Rest of foward line is: Pav, Fyfe, Goodes, Rioli, Petrie.
Tough decision :-\
I've got three options this week
Start talia
Start puop
Or trade puop to suckling, Murphy or other
Main q could talia be as good as the options above bc I could do the puo. Upgrade trade next rd if tslia cuts the mustard

Who should i start as a f7?
Mzungu vs north or dangerfield vs gold coast?
should be a tight game so need all the edge i can get. Thanks
jesus this obsesive merging of threads is getting annoying!!!!
My poll included N Roo, Higgins, Mzungu (who was surprisingly winning!) as well as Smith and Sylvia!
Mzungu has been going ok lately, but I think Dangerfield is the way to go.
dangerfield against gold coast no doubt imo!!
id go Mzungu because dangerfield screwed me over throughout the year =]

same as me :/ Never picking him untill i see a full consistent decnt year, but still think danger will kill gold coast
Pretty Easy, PUOPOLO OR JACOBS
Puopolo is playing against Carlton
Jacobs playing against Bulldogs
Backline is
Gibbs, Goddard, Fisher, Deledio, Suckling, Adcock, PUOPOLO/JACOBS (Lower & Coad on bench(yeah i know, i couldnt trade him) )
Puopolo hands down
i have a tough decision for my 7th FWD spot
N Roo
J Roo
Sylvia
POD would be to bench N Roo, but i dont have the balls to do it :-\
Is J Roo back in form? Who will play on him? Frawley?
Or is Sylvia a risk? The guy was terrible for 3 qtrs....
Pop is very hot and cold....i reckon tonight he will play a tagging role on Betts or a fwd tag on Yarran.
Jacobs for me, he has been scoring constantly over the last month!
My Midfield is whats gonna be the difference between a win and a loss.
Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Judd and locked in
Need to make a decision between Foley, kerr, and Swallow as to which 2 play and which is the emergency .
opponents midfield is much better but overall team i should win
his midfield is - Murphy, Dal Santo, Swan, Priddis, Mitchell, Montagna (Griffin, Liberatore, Gaff)
not sure who he will bench but im guessing either Griffin or Priddis ?

Seriously "Mzungu" gets asked to start in just about every thread!

in my mids: , libba, isaac smith

good choice??
@charlie sheen... Didak

For me... Talia (just) and Smith
I have 1 spot in my Fwds, who do I start?
Mzungu (scored 97 last week against Carl, travelling over to play NM)
Krakouer (playing Brisbane!, scored 66 last week, hasn't played Bris this year)
Howe (scored 98 last week, only scored 50 against Rich last time)
J.Tippett (vs Adelaide, first game, named at FB)
Thoughts?
Easy really, who will score more? And thoughts on why?
I think Scully will be good for 90-100.
I think last time he scored 93 against them in round 14. Has been struggling with the tag of late, but I think Melbourne have the wood over Richmond.
I am so sick of these being moved here. There was a poll for a reason god damn it. But yeah I'm leaning towards Scully, he's been so disappointing though!

2-3 pages on Scully earlier in this thread.
I am, but that's precisely why! There are, but that's not really what I was asking, I had a poll so I could see who the people thought would score the most this week.
Because of all my backline dilemmas,i ve had to use all my trades fixing that up,so im forced to start either talia or howe for stevie j? Please choose.
Both looked good last week, I reckon Talia may get in on the action against GCS.
Yeah i was leaning towards Talia as well.
howes looked really good. melbourne should win it as well.
Talia its hard to say. His scoring seems to rely a lot of fist spoils and 1%. Not sure there will be a lot of that in the GC game.
mzungu vs smith
JRoo is battling. You can just tell blokes who are carrying an injury and I reckon he is half the man he could be at the moment.
Nroo is right behind him with his dodgy knee but I would still bench lesser Roo ahead of him.
Sylvia, C has been really annoying me with his scores, and people like Mzungu and Isac smith are getting more than him.. and there's a few other players who i'm not sure to start or not
Forward: Sylvia, C Or Mzungu Or Isac Smith
Forward: McKernan, S Or T.Lynch (Saints)
Back: Duigan, N Or Dan Nichols
Whats your advice?

JRoo has been quiet
Who would you start out of these 3
Burgoyne, Jamar, Mzungu???
projected scores are;
Burgoyne 74
Jamar 84
Mzungu 86
Cannot work out who to start out of Jroo, Mzunga, NRoo, Heppel or Sylvia.
Am tempted to bench NRoo, it is going to be wet tomorrow night against the Swans (it is sheeting it down and blowing a gale at the moment), not exactly key forward material!
JRoo played well last week, I think the break was good for him.. Sylvia should score well against the Tigers, Mzunga against the Roos should do well too as should Heppell at Paterson....
Any merit to this theory???
Falcon, I second what Ossie said.
