Hi guys, just thought of this idea last night after I learned Hibberd is out indefinitely. I have 4 trades left for the finals, and I only have Swallow, Selwood, Gibbs and Heppell out during the finals (thankfully only one out in each round). I was thinking of trading Swallow out next round for someone like Ablett or Pendlebury, which I may still do, but I was thinking that instead of trading out any other of my premiums I can simply downgrade Hibberd (probably just to Andreoli for more mid/def links) and upgrade Jacobs to Gram (there aren't really any other mid/def players who are decent other than maybe Carazzo who won't be able to replace Gibbs in Rd. 22.
Should I go for these trades, or possibly go for another defender such as Broughton?
Here is my team by the way (4 trades left, 46k)
Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Fisher, Adcock, Heppell (Jacobs, Toy, Tuohy)
Swan, Mitchell, Boyd, Selwood, Swallow, S. Thompson (Iles, Krak, Hibberd)
Cox, S. Jacobs (Keefe, Tippett)
Franklin, N. Riewoldt, Pavlich, Goodes, Rioli, Sylvia, Mzungu (Didak, Harper, Callinan)
S. Jacobs to a premium is also tempting if Jacobs fails this week as well.
Cheers
Jason Gram has come into form, I stuck with him when he was playing shower. But now I am reeping the rewards, he's picked up a lot of disposals in recent weeks and I think he would be a terrific bench player, even maybe play ahead of Dyson Heppell. Hope that helped mate, thanks.

Yeah thats what I've been hearing, and if I want to get him it'll have to be this weekend I reckon. What do you think about keeping Swallow and playing Gram in his stead? Is it worth trading him to Ablett or Pendles? I'm not sure which will pay off more, trading Swallow or trading S. Jacobs. The problem with moving Jacobs on is that the only other really solid option's are Goldstein, Petrie and Mcevoy, who don't average that much more than Jacobs... still Goldstein might be worth trading in after his bye.
Can anyone give me advice on whether I should just go for a premium back such as Suckling or Broughton? They might be more solid scorers than Gram and since I will probably trade Swallow, I only need to cover for Selwood (and that's only if I lose in the first week), and Mzungu/Krak should be pretty decent cover in that case anyway. Hmm...
Cheers for the poll results, but doesn't anyone else have a comment for me? :P
listed as a centre again i got him in last week as a 7th mid and im going to play him ahead of heppel from now on.

Yeah I'm liking the trade more and more now. Heppell is definitely less likely to score a ton, although he has been good for 80 odd. It's funny because I remember Gram being one of the obvious trade in targets at the end of last season as well :P
2 trades left after this for maybe moving Swallow on (although now I don't really need too...) or Jacobs. Is 2 trades left with the team I currently have left okay?
Those two trades are good enough for me!

Alright thats it I'm doing it then! Will have enough cash to also go Iles to Fyfe next round... :D I kinda need that considering Sylvia and Didak are supposed to be my 6th and 7th forwards... but it hasn't worried me so much with Krak and Mzungu playing so well. I'm liking the idea of backup premiums, instead of sideways trading for the finals. Anyone else considered trades like these?
