What if you pick more and can trade them off before the end? Much like before the start of the season, you have to trim the list down to the 38. I'm likely to go over 38 at my rate but am always open to trades ;).

I've got an idea although doubt you'll go for it MTTY.
What if Q can join up but is allowed to pick last for all the stage 1 picks. Means he can get the left over players in the teams that have been picked so far. Can simply be added into the additional drafts later on easily (Put him last for them as well as sort of penalty for late entry)? He can still trade to better his team (e.g Pick up an undrafted player to trade with other teams who missed them). I am up for it since he wants to join but it's your decision :).
