I think that emergency bench players this season will really mess with Dreamteam this year.
It will effect team scores AND Player price rises.
If Andy otten becomes a bench warmer for the first few games, you can forget about him being an upgrade target in month 2.
I think the DT rule makers should allow you to get the Emergency's score if there is a lower one on the field. This would assist with Green Vest Frustrations...
Thoughts?
i think it will become clear by seasons end that the sub rule is pointless and they can scrap it, the bye will be gone and normal service will resume *crosses fingers*

+2. Although it does make for interesting dting :D
If Otten is a sub (and I am not that sure that he will be) it would only be for one game. He is too good a player to be left there. He will be more likely back in defence until he is ready to be a permanent midfielder.
mind you the kid's had a yeqr off and coming back from a serious knee injury

Totally Agree. In Round 1 everyone (even the experts) are thinking this will be gone.
Why is the sub rule bad?
It evened the matchups for Adelaide against Hawthorn when Porplyzia went off, it was then 3 interchange against 3 interchange. Last year it would have been 3 against 4 from the bench. Hawthorn would have then ran them off their legs.
The Brisbane-Fremantle game, Brisbane had 2 out injured, it was at least 1 versus 3 interchange bench. Last year, no sub rule, it would have been 1 against 4, they would have got run of their legs even more than they did with 1 versus 3!

+1 the down side is those bumps where a player needs 15 on the bench they can t afford that so they must sub which sucks

also the fact that 3 interchange makes the players more tired, they still seem to be going as hard out there and it is known you are most likely to get injured when you are tired.
6 players were subbed injured, 10 were for tactical reasons.
No one is telling the coaches to play the game at 200 miles an hour, 100 miles an hour issufficient. They are responsible for the speed of the game. If players are making more contests, that means they are getting hit more making it more likely you are going to get injured.
Anyway, I enjoyed most second halfs when players were a bit more tired, and games looked alot more spread out like footy of old.
i wouldve just liked to see them ADD a sub...not replace a bench spot.
anyone else noticed the amount of players cramping? is this due to the lack of rotations?
more like it being that time of month. Soft cocks :P
Round 1 always has lots of cramping
