Title: Chapman calf niggle
Post by: Usman on February 23, 2011, 10:38:55 PM
Just letting everybody know K-Rock announced yesterday that Chappy has had a calf niggle since christmas and the chances of him playing every game this year is very very minimal.

Something to ponder

There is always a niggle with Chappy :P
It sucks for those who had him, or were considering him (not me, the stress last year was too much.)

Thing that makes me laugh is that chances of Chappy playing every game was minimal anyway >>

Chapman will miss 2 rounds but this will be because of the bye round they have, he a gun and will be 1# scoring foward yet again.

On what basis do you say that Dylsta??, he only missed one H&A game last year. A couple of byes will suit him nicely. Everyone is jumping at shadows.....IMO

A niggle is a little injury that keeps coming back over a period of time :P
You can have niggles for a longer than 2 months if not treated.

Chappy is a decent pick, has only ever played under 16 games in a season once and that was '01 >> His first season.
I just don't like going into each round hoping it isn't the week his hammy goes :P

There's an old thread about Chappy's "new" treatment. It worked last year, but will it work again. That's all it comes down to, IMO.

There used to be a time where you could choose goodesy or o'keefe if you were unsure about chappy's hamstrings but now they're not expected to return to their best.

So why not choose chapman from the beginning, love the fact that he's raking in points for you and then trade him out when he gets injured?

1. We get extra trades this year so you can afford to do this
2. Those who don't choose him will be missing out on a lot of points
3. the closest player to chapps is riewoldt (and everyone will have him anyway)
