Title: Luke Power Trade or Keep??
Post by: LittleRayza on April 29, 2009, 09:39:39 AM
Luke Power seems to be under-performing lately and i plan to use a trade up this week. Should i keep  him? (essendon this week) Or should i trade him for someone like Leon Davis, Scott Pendlebury, Matt Priddis etc...(Got 123k left)

Cheers

I'd get rid of him for someone like Pendlebury - he always scores well

Well you need to ask yourself whether he will begin to perform as expected. If you expect him to stay down here, then maybe trade - but if not, then why trade him??

Everyone else is expensive, and Power has dropped so much that everyone who DIDN'T have him, now want him. I say keep him. The only reason to trade him is to spend another $100k on top of it and go for CURRENT form. Is that worth it?

He's a quality player and worth keeping hold of.

Everyone had a shocker against Geelong, but he's still averaging 91.

His BE is 146 though, so get rid of him now if you're going to.

Against WCE (172), Carlton (97) and Collingwood (90) he played well

Against the two best lock-down sides in the comp - Geelong + Sydney- he score poorly.

Brisbane play Sydney again in R22, and don't play Geelong again.

Keep him for sure

And don't forget - Dalziell is out now, so perhaps he's a more prized option for the Brisbane ball - even though he always has been, but now no choice ;)

Don't you dare trade him. People want to buy him now because he's so cheap, the fact that you have him you may as well stick with. He's played a couple of tough games, and should score well for most of the rest of the year.

If you posted yer team here, i could probably give you 10 examples of better ways to use your cash and trades.

How about moving up from Rich to Power soon? It wont be long before their prices are similar - If Rich continues the 80 average, and Power falls in price because his high BE, then soon (2 weeks) they'll both be in the low $400k.

I don't see Rich getting points consistently over 100, where Power can when his form picks up.

Bad trade? lol
