I'm only interested in the Pick One Challange on NBA site. I'll get a league for that when it's up and running.

Where you get points for Rebounds, Points and Assists. You can only choose one player per day and you can't chose the same player again for the whole year. Rookie's get Double as well. Players like Kobe can score on average 40 -50 points per game, sometimes more depending on who they're playing.

Title: Re: NBA Fantasy
Post by: DazBurg on October 11, 2010, 01:14:18 PM
since we didn't fill the league yet the draft will not be held this is an exact quote from there FAQ page

In Standard Leagues, the draft will only take place once all 8, 10 or 12 owners have joined (depending on the size of your league). To set a new draft date/time, league members must vote in the league referenda. Please keep in mind that you will need at least 6 votes for each option for the change to be made.

In Custom Leagues, the scheduled draft date/time can only be modified by the League Manager.

so it seems when we fill it we have to actually vote for a new draft time

You should join this NBA stock exchange game. It's free and DT talk did a post on it and made a league. There is a payed option to get live scoring but just go to nbasetalk.com for live scoring. It's even up now for the preseason games so you can do your research

I went on earlier to see about the trade Marcz, just for nothing to show up :(. Not sure what happened there as I got sent the emails for them.

Looked around for them but didn't see the bar that's usually there when somebody makes an offer.

Daz had the same thing. I think it's because Marcz dropped one of the people he was trying to trade

hey managers just a reminder to try and stay active and set ur rosters for a week at a time, u must submit a roster for every day of the week, i know most of u know this anyway, the closer the games r the more interesting it is for everyone, bcos we r an 8 team league there is a wealth of talent in the free agent pool and u can aquire up to 7 players per week, when u make a move u will also need to redo ur roster for that players games... i noticed mat from the nfl league was performing roster duties for inactive owners let me know if u think i should do this to help make it more competitive cheers

note i wouldnt be aquiring players or making any moves just making sure that all the players for those teams were rostered on the days they r playing so the team is going at its full potential

yeah its celtic charm and the ateam that arent setup im not sure who they are... i know daz is starting slow bcos he has had some injury troubles. theres a couple of leagues im in and the comp is so tight it keeps it really interesting with waiver moves and weekly matchups but il leave it if u guys dont think its worth doing

Blake Griffin 4 Andre Iguadala straight swap?
Title: Re: NBA Fantasy
Post by: Cicjose on December 02, 2010, 01:19:43 AM
If you had Miami's Big 3 then your last game would have been impressive

LeBron James (30 points) imposed his will offensively in the first half and Dwyane Wade (26 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals) did the same in the third quarter as the HEAT cruised to a 105-94 home win over the Wizards on Monday. Chris Bosh scored 20 points

Post by: RiOtChEsS on December 02, 2010, 02:28:58 AM
yeah other catergories r important too like fg% and ft% which d wade has been terrible at since his wrist injury... u wouldnt notice it in his general stat line tho bcos he is still putting up 20points but like kobe yesterday 29 points on 25 shots is almost doing ur team more harm than good

good things come to those that wait ;) yeah rose is killing it... his projected stats didnt really come close... fantasy wise they knew he could score and dish but this year he is up in every stat by 20% apart from shooting %'s r the same but 3pointers have gone from 0.2 a game to 1.2 a game and blocks r up 50%... westbrook has been breaking out in a similar way both will be top 10 in the draft next year

garnett is down for 2weeks with a calf strain/knee injury... the celts say calf but he was clearly clutching at the knee he had surgery on in a sportscenter highlight package... and brandon roy is out indefinitely with his ongoing knee issues, feel sorry for the guy very young amazing talent and already has bone on bone issues in both knees, looks like microfracture surgery for him which means next year is also in doubt too as its a 12month recovery

out of 10 teams 9 made Playoffs and 8 r going to the Finals :D

correction 7 going to the finals i lost on a standings countback...

won 6 of the 7 finals series, in the one i lost i was matched up against a bloke who plays cash leagues aswell from the US, we played in round 1 which was a 2 week matchup and we split catergories 4-4 second time round again 4-4 and in the finals 17 days long we split it 4-4 again ::) which i think counts back to regular season record where he finished 99-44-1 and i finished 98-44-2... epic struggle for 3 draws lol ;D

in another i had a regular season split series with was a chap that had about a 6 game winning advantage in the standings, so i knew i had to pull off some wire moves at the right times... he used his in the first 2 weeks but make a head way into any of the catergories i held advantages in, and in doing so he neglected his 3 point catergory as he had 20 3's lead on me... with a handsome lead in 4 of the catergories i knew i could go for broke on 3s and with 17 wire moves left over the final 3 days i went to work and ended up beating him by 9 three pointers giving me the 5-3 victory :D

the other 5 were convincing wins my way so im pretty happy with 6 titles out of a potential 10 at the beginning of the season ;)
