Indeed. Could face a trip to Subi in first week of finals though
im hoping blues beat cats and freo and freo lose both and with perentage blues 5th
Even if hawks make it they will go out in the 1st week...

Then that means your probably play us at Home, right? That's unlikely... You'll probably be playing Freo away or Carlton at Home.
Oooooooooooh...harsh. I would not underestimate Hawthorn. They may appear out of form, but that can change, and they have some very good players that can do some damage.

What's the difference between playing Carlton at home or away if your hawthorn? MCG is the MCG surely (I assume played there)

I don't know, they do have the same home ground?
In that circumstance it would be played at the 'G where there is no real advantage to having the home ground.
I think Hawks could beat Freo especially with Sandi & Barlow missing (most likely)
Probably struggle against Carlton though.
Hmm, I'm not convinced.
North should beat WC next week and a very winnable game against Melbourne the next week.
Hawks and Freo could go either way, and you guys will lose to Pies. That would move North 8th. I am bais but I am just saying don't count your blessings yet!
You have to believe Roo. It's a big ask now though
As long as it is still mathematically possible R&B has hope!

If Collingwood beat Adelaide next week, I reckon the Hawks will beat the Pies. Hawks have more to play for, and Pies will be looking ahead

Hawks have to beat Freo to confirm their spot in the 8. If they lose then they have to win the following week (if North win both its next games)
Yeh they still have to get 8th :P
now im not being biast just so hawks make it but you would think eagles would be beat kangas at subi but u never no

Interesting, but Pies should still knock over Hawks you would think? Even playing half-heartedly.

Yeah they do, thats why I am hoping for a Freo win this week. C'MON DOCKERS!
Hopefully Hawthorn draw Carlton in week one, be good for one of them to be knocked out, hopefully Carlton.

I don't think Freo want to win this week... 7 players rested for soreness...Sandi out!! In Tassie....
RB your boys are gone!!
It does put the pressure right on Hawthorn though, if they lose this match, something's seriously wrong!
The Saints beat you with a similar resting policy I seem to remember!
YES WE WON FINALS HERE WE COME
Damn :'(

Don't think you would have made it even if they had lost...
sorry roo boys but its not the hawks or the kangas fault freo sent south fremantle instead
haha oh well, i actually liked you guys destroying 'em
freo vs hawks...has the tassie debacle come back to haunt freo? that pasting from 2 weeks ago would still be fresh in their minds and if the hawks start quickly will freo just drop their bundle?
Hope your right marcz i reckon the confidence we got from winning yesterday and from smashing freo will be enof to get us over the line cos buddy and cyril are on fire
i was so wrong marcz :(
Cyril injured early really hurt you guys!
yep knew it would b rely hard to get bak after that
that was just a flowering disgrace. We won the premiership only 2 years ago and that performance was just disgusting. We are talking about a team that has struggled for many years, has barely any guns and are completely outclassed on paper and they simply destroyed us. It's not good enough and the hawks need to take a good look at themselves and start playing football instead of expecting the results to go their way without putting in any effort
mate they tryed the freo youngsters arnt hopeless they are very good players..if we get a pre season with minumly inuries, hopefuly get a ruck and tall back nxt yr we should push for top4
The Hawks may have fallen for the trap a lot of people have this year and under estimated freo. 2 injuries in the second quarter, especially Rioli hurt a lot.
Hmm I am not sure the Hawks can make top 4 with the current list, they might be able to push with luck and a good year but...
a ruck a tall back some good luck with inuries and we defintly will be pushing top4
Where are they going to come from though Hawka? Nobody already there with potential really, unless you think Skipper...
i mean trades fo these postions and the devolpment of bailey 4 ruck and, shoenmakers and stratton and riley milne for back
MIlne? Shoey and Stratton fair enough.
Still think rucks future is looking pretty bleak.
Apparently Tarrant is very likely for the Hawks, could fit right into that backline.
I do think the Hawks are a bit slow, especially when Cyril is not there, Hooper was out and suddenly they appeared a bit one paced.
Really? Gee, OK.
Indeed they are not the quickest side, probably a bit of the reason they don't have that daring fast paced game any more.
That and the players with the penetrating long accurate kicking seem to be injured or retired eg. Dew.
They need a dominant ruckman. Hopefully Bailey will come good. Also a big solid defender like Tarrant. We obviously have the list to push for a flag considering we did it in 2008. We have the firepower just not the consistency atm its like the hunger has gone. seemed like they were just expecting to win against freo and didnt put in enough effort. We proved this year that on our day we can beat any side in the comp but at the same time we could lose to any side in the comp
alex milne is a 194cm rookie who played 2 games last yr late(cos of injury)he is very skinny and needed time to devolp
