clear stand outs this year have been GAJ, Chappy, Swann and Montagna...
if they continue, their price will be around the same, and pretty expensive compared to all others
given every competitive team is going to have to have a gun to nominate as captain from the start - who is it going to be??
this year, I started with only 2 gun mids, and the rest rookies - would have worked better if I had have picked the right rookies!! but still worked out ok now with GAJ,Barlow,Mitchell,Montagna, Bartell and Swann as my end mids...- just would have made a bucket more cash and had more trades left if I had picked well to start..
so - my point is, that even if you start with a mid strategy with lots of rookies - you still must have a lock in captain from day 1.
So who should it be??
Boyd is the one that is catching my eye - Joey and Swann the others, particularly if GAJ is off to the gold coast.
thoughts? who is your main man ????
Joey or Boyd are gunna be ma main men 8)
Joey and Boyd were 2 of the guys i started with this year :D. Joey was and still is Capt (even with Swan coming in).
Likely He'll be in my team again next year (Boyd and Swallow as well), so Captain duties once again ;D.
if GAJ goes then selwood would become a lock i reckon
i will have a unique middle with Kornes, simpson, anthony, and a mega gun joey/gaj (not if he moves to GC) or swannie. advice on which to get? with pros and cons? i am thinking swan or joey and of the two probly joey
Swan probably the best midfielder for DT. Usually gives consistent scores (form slump this year). But Joey is more unique if you are looking to go that way.
okay thanks hp i think i will look for the more unique one (joey) :)
GAJ
Swan
i dont think eiither is often tagged with hayes taking it from joey and pendles taking it from swan!
AHHHHH I CANT CHOOSE!!!!! here comes the coin flip :P
It may be that Karmichael Hunt gets the C each week as each and every round there is a loop hole with the bye scenario, and VC's will be locked in first preference.

GAJ
Don't you reckon if GAJ goes to GC then he will be the main go-to guy, ie; predominant ball-winner?
At the moment he tears it up in a team where Bartel, Selwood, Corey, Chappy are also fighting for the ball. And a heavy tag doesn't generally slow him down anyway so I would say GAJ may even increase his output of previous years.
Agree or disagree?

They feed him the ball a fair bit which leads to him scoring well. If he goes to GC, will have to do alot more work for himself than to rely on others doing it for him. People cautious because of this factor.
Spot on HP. The Cats game style suits him in racking up his points. It won't happen like that at GC.
plus he ill be tagged as there is no one else really worth tagging there atm. :P
yep...no way i can see him getting as much cheap ball at GC,
yep - every chance of getting tagged much more - with GC not having the strength / bodies / experience to protect him like he gets now.
no way he is in my team next year...way too much downside, and almost no upside...
