Title: Daniel Giansiracusa
Post by: my.tbt on June 04, 2010, 12:37:45 PM
Anyone planning on selling Gia before his price drops dramatically - again? Dropped $40k last week and his scoring has been average with no signs of improvement to say the least.

Besides his 3 massive scores when Byod was out, Gia has struggled to average 72 from 7 games.
I know you shouldnt sell premiums, but there are other premiums who cosistantly score 90-100 every week, and are almost a straight swap.

Thoughts apprecaited.

Silly to think this.....he will come good at the end of the season.
If Gia is your only problem then ur team must be that good

mate his last big score was when boyd was back in the team so i dont think its solely that, hes just not working hard enough atm, but will still average u round 90 by seasons end, which is good a for fwd this year, i would only upgrade him if u could get chappy

No point in trading out a premium, he'll come good, hopefully he may mix it up this week with Hargrave out.

Yeah I have about $200k, plenty of trades. Was thinking of getting Chappy as I dont have him, and my forward line would be set.

This then begs the question, too risky to trade up to Chappy considering his hammy history. From what I have seen, it looks like alot of the gun DT'ers have stayed away from picking Chappy so far.

Plus only problem with Gia, he is up and down. Not good when you want consistent players to win your league for $$$

I would be hanging on to Gia.  I would like to see how he and Higgins perform with Aker out of the side.  Someone will need to step and fill the void and hopefully these 2 can pick up the slack - which will mean better DT scores.

I agree with this thought, and hope Gia cashes in on Aker being out.

Keep A Little Faith.

He was bought as a premium (370k or so), so no point trading him out. In a form slump due to Boyd returning 8).

Now i need to see about Higgins ::). At least I have the money from last trade :D.

So glad I don't have him, can't play in a team where he isn't the centre of attention.

Ok so GIA is murdering my team along with the 39,724 other punters who have him too. Is it time to jump off the bloke? I have 5 trades left with 23k in the bank which is my only worry but am tempted to do a sideways to goodes or harvey. Goodes is very consistent and harvey has been up and down so leaning more to goodes especially if the swannies push to a top 8 finish. My bench cover atm is gumby and stewart from port, with rocky in the 7th forward postion handing me some nice scores in the past fortnight. Thoughts?

Going into the 2nd half of the season with 4 trades left is suicide, don't do it.

5 trades halfway through the season? i think you'll have to hold on to him for now mate because you will need to save those all important trades

yeah that was my only concern, im counting myself lucky i dont have higgins or hille but your right 5 trades is bad enough, hopefully GIA picks up the slack now higgins is gonna miss most of the season according to rocket

He is killing alot of guys - even the top DT'ers. But given the injury list from round 11, and its only mid way through the season, I would keep him and keep your trades.

Players like Gia will always get back to their best unless he is carrying some sort of injury we dont know about, Rocket Eade will no doubt be on his back this week reminding about his past month, expect him to come good either this week or after the break.

yeh i wanna trade him aswell but u reli cant. i only have 6 trades left and may need to use one on hille to cox this week. I think gia could hopefully push up the ground a bit if higgins is out for a while. then we might see some better scores

we loved it when he threw out those big scores.
hopefully he will do it again soon.

Re. your situation. Hold on to your trades.

This week it was Hille and Higgins, next week it might be some other high profile ones and you do not even have enough to cover for those, let alone trading out premiums (2nd tier prem anyway)

yeah im with you on this one too guys i should count myself lucky i dont HAVE to trade this week with some of the injuries that have occurred. Cheers for your thoughts!

Totally agree, but looks like I will have to stick with him for the rest of the season.  More concerned about Higgins and how long he will be out for.
