Title: Footballs?
Post by: PowerMan on May 29, 2010, 10:50:13 PM
I was at the port v richmond game today and very quickly noticed the footy was very hard to pick up in general play.

Why can't the umpires use a yellow footy when it's so obvious the conditions require a yellow footy to be used?

Is there a rule saying you have to use a red footy at day games, and yellow at night games?

surely common sense has to prevail in these circumstances!

I hate playing with a red footy even during the day. Yellow is the best IMO.

Certainly and I think they need to use more balls when it's that wet, sure they'll get wrecked but in all seriousness the players are not weightlifters. Surely using a yellow ball isn't going to hurt?
