Who here actually plays footy with a real ball and not just a computer screen with a little green trade button on it?
I played two games this weekend, school footy on Sat and club on Sun. 7 quarters on the ball in 2 days really takes it outta you! :P
me :D
kicked ten in school footy this weekend hahaha had a good one
me
had about 10 kicks and about 5 handballs..
play under 15's.. so thats pretty good..
Haven't played footy for a long time. Still have a kick in the backyard but don't play for a club.
Had a chance to play in primary school but couldn't with other issues in the way.

In Primary school? ::) Nah, it was surgeries.
Get the LARS surgery? Should i trade you out? Your breakeven is 7984 ( haven't played for years!) and I think you have peaked. ;D

against adelaide high
needless to say they were pretty awful, fair few cheapies ;)
Ok. Thought you mighta been in a local school team game I went to and my school's firsts won by 16-17 goals and the full forward kicked 14!
6 years retired from playing footy. Thinking about playing next year (but I think that every footy season since I retired). I played 2nd Ruck, 3rd tall (fwd or back). Utility player, tall and skinny and could run all day

Long over due RB ;D.
6 years retired :o. Trying to mount a comeback but always too lazy to get back on Valk?
I kicked a goal from the centre in grade six! That was a very long time ago, but it got me into the school team the next week. I sat on the bench the whole game.
I played basketball instead! A game every week, and I kept it up 'til I was 24!
For the unicorns right?

Very similar story for myself! Played in primary school, wasn't very good, but much better at basketball and tennis which I still play. Pity, cos I love the game, I just can't kick for the life of me.

I played both which was tough because back in the day (when basketball was on prime time TV), both sports were winter sports.
I still play beasketball once a week.
Its strange, at 6ft 4in, I am quite tall in footy. Where as in basketball I am short.

Nice 8). Have been playing basketball more often nowadays. At 5 foot 7 guess how hard it is for me Valk :'(. Almost made the school team last year but I am horrible at shooting. Defence is my game 8).
I'm short in both games :'(

No, I played out East. But I now manage a Unicorns team.
I do, but considering giving up to focus on cricket. Cricket is awesome, opening for the Grubbers is great, best batsmen last year (highest average) :D
I play footy and cricket. Love it.
i also play cricket..
except alex im a bowler...
fatsest in my team maybe not my league..
very economic too...
economic? Not me but the kid that opens for my team bowled 8/4 in 2 overs. Was crazy.
I still remember my 2nd grade debut - 5/32 off 28 overs, bowling in to the wind. Bowled the 28 overs straight. Came off the ground after we bowled them out and pretty much passed out. Thank goodness I bat #11 - and that's only cos there is no #12.
In one season I took 40 wickets and made 38 runs with the bat.
But back to footy.... Oh yeh I been knocked out once
I love cricket too, more like Hilly but also bat 4th or 5th. 4/1 first game this season! :D beat that Hilly!

But back to footy.... Oh yeh I been knocked out once
So have I..... but wasn't footy related :-\.
I got 7 wickets for 3 runs before of about6 overs
6 for 10 my best bowling
Ok hilly although my 4 for 1 was off 3 overs.
my best bowling was/is 3 wickets 0 runs off 5 overs. Best batting though, 89 NO. Opening, premiership team. Captain. Best and fairest. My average was something ridiculous, only went out twice (this year.)
first proper season of footy - 25 years 6 foot half bank flanker

Nice work Tom, got an age/division for us? Very good win though should be a nice percentage boost although being on the other side of it wouldn't be any good. Kick any goals?
My team got dealt a similar blow to that. On the wrong end of it! Lost by bout 100 to a stacked Keilor team.
ouch... Never lost by more than 100. My team did but that was when i was recovering from my knee. ;)
16s claremont district. no goals but had about 10 inside 50s and 5 contested marks. supercoach points ftw. one of our midfielders did kick 7 goals however
A midfielder :o. What happened? No forwards to kick it too so he decided to do it himself? ;D
For a Full Back to be moved up forward, nice stats 8).
In my school firsts the full forward kicked 14! ;D true!

Played all my junior footy with Martin Pike, Scott Bamford. Trained at North Adelaide (hence McRooster) under 17's when Wayne Carey was in the 19's and then he got drafted to the Roos.
Did my shoulder playing basketball in off season and that was all she wrote :'(
Started umpiring coz fitness was still good and smoked it!
Yes roo boys!, I have showered with the Duck!
Oh, so we are naming names now :P
Played high school footy with Shane Woewodin and played cricket with Dalziell (damn good all rounder)
Shall I add that I was part of Martin Pike's often unmentioned 5th premiership! Under 12's for Ingle Farm v Semaphore Park. Got the first hard ball get, 1st free, 1st kick and 1st pie after the game!

I know 1 to. His dad was a past player so technically know him... Brian Cordy ;)
Oh actually, related to Chris Dawes...
jake Melksham is a mate of one of my mates. And went to my school. And Josh Toy goes to my school.
I'm in my first season of footy in VIC since U16's in QLD, now 22 so about 6 years out of the game.
Managed to get into the Senior squad and get a couple of mentions in Best players but just hoping to lift the skills to what they used to be as 6 years without a footy in hand decimates the running pressure skills.

Jackson Trengove also went to my school and club and ROK played at my club.

Nice 8). Hate it when you don't play it for a long time then have to get back into the groove. Few Best on fields might mean the rust is coming off pretty quick :D. If you still ain't at 100%, lets see how it pans out when you do reach that level :o. Best Player in the league on the cards? ;)

I meant in the 5 Best Players in a game (coaches choice). Definately not in the running for the league b&f. Disposal isn't good enough and being in the backline I get lean games against opposition that spend less time down there. If my player doesn't have an influence on the game then I'm happy normally.
I'm not going for any awards, just enjoying playing again and not being totally useless :)
I kicked one of my schools two yesterday. Other team kicked 8. :(

It was in the wet, very scrappy contest.
ahhh ok. Now I completely understand ;)
Team lost by bout 6 goals again today. Got BOG in the losing side for the third week in a row though ;D
