looks like the range is 2-4 trades in the first 4 rds.
whoever has only done 0-1 trades is either an idiot or a genius !!
congrats if you are getting decent scores with no trades - just shows you must have done some serious homework !!
i ahve made four but i dont plan anymore until round 7 where i will go ball out ablett in, martin out vince in and nason out hargrave in, nason out adcock in.
obviously i can only do 2 of these four
i have only made 2 which i was basically forced too... roo out for brennan and tippet our for seaby.
I've only made 1 - Riewoldt -> Brown,
but the grand plan is to use 3 distinct trading periods throughout the season, capitalising on a rookies 6-8 game peak.
ie. rounds 6-8, 6 trades
rounds 12-16, 6 trades
rounds 18-22, 6 trades
of course ill keep a few trades spare for injuries
Currently caught in two minds. Should use the opportunity to offload rubbish rookies (ie. JKT, Relton) while i have the chance, or wait because theyre bound to play 3 games at some stage, any suggestions?

the responses look more and more bell shapped (normal distribution for those more statistically inclined)
would like to see what this looks like in future rds. would be a great indication of what this forum think (do) with trades and trading

Might be able to cash in a cow before next lockout if i'm too tempted :)
4, injuries have decimated The Pack this year, hopefully I can sit for a round or two now before the cull of the cows commences

I have 16 left and won't use any this week as I have up to 4 premiums coming back into the team anyway: Boyd, Bock, Hargrave and Lockyer.
Lockyer was dropped, and with Collingwood winning by so much, is by no means a certainty to come back.
I agree that Lockyer may not be a certainty to come back in the side, I sure hope he does
a premium on the outer not because of form?
the end seems nigh for one of my better defenders last year - don't have him this year though

Yeh I doubt that he will come back this week, but he will regain his spot in the next few I would think. Bock is another one of my for listed that may not return this week.
Have 19 trades left but might go down to as low as 17 come lockout. Not sure yet and will make the trades later tonight if i come to a decision.
DT without making those tough decisions is not really worth it is it HP ?
Am sure whatever you do will be highly tactical for those trades to be worth it.
Should still be 17 after this rd but looking more and more shaky with bench cover for mid and ruck in la la land.

Thanks exlam. Thinking of double trading to get Schoey and Banner out for a rookie + 377k mid. Still trying to decide and we'll see if anything happens ;).
P.S A double trade on the cards in Dt and Sc in one week is getting me all hyped up ;D

i'm hoping to get to half season with 6 trades in hand.
build my team first half of the season, and save a handful for when changes are necessary.
in the last few years i think i've left my trading a bit late and wasted potential upgrades by leaving them too late.
it's a "take no prisoners" attitude this time round

16 left right now although I will have to double trade it up due to Seaby going down with injury. So 14 after this round. I think the best scenario would be to have about 15 left right now so 14 isn't too bad.
I have 12 left. Same attitude as glam77, my team has taken shape now. With roo and seaby costing me 2 injury trades. Averaging a little over 2K, sitting just outside the 5K ranking.
ive used 4 trades and currently sitting nicely just in the top 1000....not making this week but will double trade the next couple when a few of the rookies (trengrove, scully, nason etc) peak....
the main dilemma ive got now is what sort of car i want :P

il burn 3-4 more trades in the next 2 weeks to transfer $559,400 of my cap into 3-4 premium upgrades 1 back 1-2 midfield 1 forward and my team should be settled with 9-10 trades left in the bank, want to get carrazzo bartel montagna and goodes! might have to wait a little longer on the 2nd midfield trade just so howlett and or shuey ripen up
