Title: Lions vs Carlton
Post by: Justin Bieber on March 31, 2010, 02:50:56 AM
The game is going to be a cracker. can't wait to see the sparks fly when fev goes up against his old side. don't go for either, but still can't miss it.

will also be good to see how the blues forwards stand up against a real defence (not the best but still a step up from richmond ;D).

As long as my players do well and I get my tips right. But yeah will be a good game to watch with big Fev up against his ex team mates lol.

I'm not sure about either side this year, so it should be good to see where each stands at least!

There are only two games this weekend that will be worth watching, Bris vs Blues and Hawks vs Geelong. But of course I will watching the Pies kick Melbs butt and set up with a nice %

Why, never seen a bloke go against his own team.
Except for the real serious ones, or the ones who don't follow their team really...

I tip to win? It's not like i will be cheering against the blues, but where's the point in tipping if your not trying to win! (well unless your just doing it for fun, which i'm not ;D)

Ah I see, we've got a serious one. Even less common to see this kind of thing from supporters of clubs with large fan-bases, more die-hards who'll never go against there beloved team...
I've only ever once tipped against the Bombers, was trying to win a money tipping league, start of the '07 season and after finishing 15th the previous year, I thought we'd be beaten by the minor premiers of '06 - Adelaide, we won by about 31 points.

Ah, a Carlton bandwagon supporter!

I can understand it if you went for Melbourne but picked Geelong to beat you, but Carlton v Brisbane isn't a surething!

It is the WORST feeling tipping against your team, and they win. You feel dirty :)

Yeah, definitely know the feeling when you tip against your own team and they actually win. Leaves quite a hollow feeling.  Having said that though,
I think tonight's game should be pretty close. I'm really looking forward to it. I have tipped Brisbane to win by 10 points as they have home ground advantage and I think they will have the edge in firepower in the forward line.

DWEBBY not to far off, 171 a decent score.
Brown won that game for Brissy, they would've lost without him.

Thinking might be a good idea Hellopplz. If he misses R3 then it is 5 weeks he hasn't played a match, so thinking his match fitness will be down initially. Which is never good for a midfielder. He may play a different role when returns that could affect his scores early days.

I reckon get rid of him and potentially have him as a mid-season upgrade (nothing more annoying when already had in the side - happened last year for me with Bock when he was suspended indefinitely)...

i doubt i will trade him out than back in. i'll probably trade him out if he misses again this week. always that slim hope he will play.

I'm hoping Gray struggles with match fitness so he can be dirt cheap next year LOL

not too cheap for everybody to jump on. he was going to be my unique pick until he was prepped for a move up the ground. i had my eye on him and the westoffs from the beginning of last year, seeing who stepped up.

Chappy better score 150 against the hawks, who did you end up going with for captain?
Title: Re: Lions vs Carlton
Post by: Justin Bieber on April 04, 2010, 12:17:41 AM
boyd for both dt and sc. don't usually have him as captain but seeing as richmond are well richmond, got the nod ahead of roo, dal, selwood and chappy.

last year i can only remember going with him for captain for 3 rounds. going to change this year :D
Title: Re: Lions vs Carlton
Post by: Alex7089 on April 04, 2010, 12:19:12 AM
Boyd very good, still don't like him for captain, good for about 120 but doesn't pull the massive 180's that Chappy and GAJ do.
Title: Re: Lions vs Carlton
Post by: Justin Bieber on April 04, 2010, 12:21:16 AM
You never know against richmond. if carlton players can score 100's against them, i reckon the dogs can do 1 better and score 150 against them :P

I have put my faith in Boyd before and he hasn't leet me down.

I hope you're right, 150 from Higgo, BBB and Harbrow would really helpful.

What do you have against Higgo, still can't believe I chose Bazza just over Murphs.
