This is a place where you can vent all your mistakes for the round (or gloat if you made non):
For me it was a case of Trengove starting over Barlow (cost me 101 points) and Hitch over Gumby (cost me 57 points), why why why didn't I just go with who performed better in the nab! Had no reason to choose the others.. Cost me all up 158 points :'(
Picking Gumby was my huge mistake. And my selecting Wells risk isn't paying off just yet :)
all my rookies played which i am happy about. didn't get drawn into gumby over hitch.
only downside was that some of my guns underperformed. R. Shaw and Harbrow were clanger kings of my team ;D >:( :'( :-\

I can only grin about Rhyce Shaw now... The amount of errors he would make at crucial times for Collingwood (the 03 Grand Final springs to mind).
well hope it was a one off for both as they are usually pretty good kicks.
I have David Hille. Enough said. . . .
Oh, and two of my rookies didn't play. Moles and Lobbe, and Gumby may as well have not played ::)
I started Gumby over Hitchy.
I had Hille (missing 2 games most likely)
I had Harbrow (nuff said)
I had NDS (Kirk has me annoyed now)
I had Chappy (WTF he played so well, long kicks onto forwards chest and his SC sucked?)
I had Bock (nuff said)
I had Watson (Ling you RANGA)
I am very annoyed at all of these VERY low scores from VERY expensive players, had they all scored what they should've I WOULD'VE BEEN FINE

If it all panned out for me, i would of gotten 2300 easily. but it didn't :'(. hoping next week they return to their best.
Oh yeah. . . . I had Watson too. ::)
I think he might end up being trade bait for Judd ;)
LOL Don't waste a trade on a premium dude, he'll be fine just relax had to deal with Ling the ranga so a score of 72 not to bard.
To bad now he has creepy crowley to deal with, GIVE THE KID A BREAK
i did the exact same thing as alman!!
The only thing that went right for me wastrading out Gia and Gray and picking up J.Brown and Pav.
Also I was happy with Ziebell and Higgo.
I was one of the fools that said "Danger OR Ziebell" instead of "Danger AND Ziebell"
That's life heh.
Shuda, wuda, cuda.
Everybody can say that so and so could have done better. I scored 2348 and had players let me down. Thats why you do research. It will happen every week that players can do better. Just move on.
QuoteI scored 2348 and had players let me down.
Plenty of players obviously let you "up" with that score.
Players we chose for this round that did not prove to be good picks are not a total loss. There is every chance they will do better in round 2. It is only round 1, at least give them another chance. Most players are finding their feet again as the new season begins.
Yeah, when you get addicted to things you tend to get very agitated when you are cut off/doesn't go to plan, understanding why we are annoyed, most of us spent over a month doing research, reading inside sources, crunching numbers and reading about NAB form.
Agreed and I did the very same research mate. Correct, 2348 players went 'up' for me.... However I also had a few 'downs'.
a place to vent aye??
well i'm feeling cool i got 2258 - lol but that held me @ 12000 and something overall???!!!
malceski hurt - but still happy with kennelly
expensive players also let me down - if these guys performed prob could of had atleast another 100 points. ala NDS pendles, chappy. but still rookies look good - don't have trengrove which feels great and 1st year in a while that i have not started with newman and very happy this year about that!!!!!!!!
i'm very happy, solid start
i scored 2,173 and i forgot to pick a captain!
i guess that stuff happens when your a first time supercoacher?
i would of had selwood as captain giving me around 2,300.
damb! >:(

I hear ya!
Yeah he is bound to be annoying everybody all season, taking the biggest scalps in the league, it's why Geelong is like poison in fantasy terms
Hoping for Watson to have a massive one this week. Had the money to get a more expensive player but stayed with Watson - would love to see him increase his average!
Yeah I was hoping as well, I chose him over Griffin/Gibbs at different points, and so far I'm not very happy, but ah well he'll come through.
Not the captain of the best club in the world for no reason 'eh?
My team is quite solid atm.
I got 2250, if I chose the correct combo this week I would have cleared 2500.
I have had Harry the last few years. I know he doesn't usually score that well, but he's bulked up alot this year.
He will provide great run off the half backline...He looks primed.
WHY did I trade out Harry b4 the start for Kennelly. >:(
Dont get me wrong, Kennelly didnt play badly (infact he had a great 1st game back). Griffen was disappointing this week. Oh well.
All my kids played bar 2...Still cant believe Rockliff & Pods didn't get the nod
Is anyone thinking of doing any trades this week? Or waiting till after round 2...
Let the fun begin ey...
after round 2 for me. doubt i will use 2 trades but depends if 1 or 2 of my rookies get dropped.
Thinking that my trades willnot be as safe as they were last year at this time.
Last year I didn't trade until round 6 although I think this year I might've mad 2 trades by then.
My biggie was chosing Mitchell for Captain. If I had gone for my other two close picks (Swan or Riewoldt) I would be many points up.
I also lost out as Gray didn't play. My emergency, Rockliff, also didn't play, so only had 21 scoring players >:(...still, got 2204, so I'm pretty happy.
Had you picked Roo and Hitchy instead you would've scored like almost 2400.

Had I strted Hitchy over Gumby would've cleared 2200 even with a disappointing performance from the majority of my premiums...

Hurts doesn't it? Woulda scored over 2300 otherwise!
2394 for the 1st round but was really let down by gia and masten....

I did the exact same thing, I can't believe it, how did Gumby make it to 80? Ah well, I'm going to start Gumby next week, so you should all start Hitchy because I think I'm cursed.

He was a completely different player ??? Especially in the first quarter.
I know, really good signs for Essendon that he played that well, got those people calling him spuds a bit quiet though. I must admit I did have a bit of a chiuckle when they started comparing to Richo, thought he had a ways to go before he was that good.
A loooooooooooong way. Although similar in that they can both dissapoint :) (sorry to all Richmond supporters - i love Richo as much as you!)
Yeah, I wish Gumby could stay fit, after he's PLAYEd 3 seasons of footy he'll start to show why we gave such a high draft pick for him, watching highlights from his junior years he was a complete freak.
I'm venting before I do it. It's just so annnoying when players that should go well don't.
I will not trade yet, I will not trade yet, I will not trade yet.
There, aaaahhh.
If Ablett doesn't score well I'm gonna be PISSED. Need a big one from him Chappy and Hodge. 80 would be nice from Ladson as well although I doubt it.
Yeah no reason why Ablett shouldnt score huge this round and with all the other huge scores like roos 160 and browns 170, I will pissed if he gets any lower then 130 personally.
If I can get 150+ from him and Chappy and 120+ from Hodge, paired with 80 from Ladson, I'm in for a good week.
No Sewell for the heavy tag, but i'm sure he'll cop one anyway.
1) mitch clark; a selection that goes against all my sc ways
2) backing out on j.brown pre-lockout in favour of - pav, harvey, hall (to date)
3) possibly selecting trengove of either a cheap rookie (banner only alternative from rnd 1) or d.connors who at least has senior experience
4) not selecting malceski; although i'd only really have goodwin & kennelly to choose from to drop
5) ziebell over danger once the latter was announced on an extended bench pre round 1; this whole story could change next week though
6) big call as he's only played 1 game so far; but am questioning whether having gaj was good; in all honesty i would've put bartet, nds, goddard as captain instead - vs a roo, rok; so not missing much yet...
so out of all that there's two glaring mistakes (m.clark, no j.brown) a couple 'nice to corrects' and a couple knee-jerk call after bvgger all games have been played.
that leaves 26-28 'good calls' thus far; i'll take that balance!!

Gonna be honest the only real mistake you've made is Clark (which i've done also) - and thats cause he is sharing the ruck at the moment and unless Leudenberger goes down with injury, that won't change.
Everyone will be cursing Brown and praising Pav next week when Brown <100 and Pav >100 - just the way it goes.
I also jumped off Danger last minute, but no drama. Ziebell already has a ton to his name. And they got smashed by the best team in the comp R2.
Trengove R2 proved he is as good as the other rookies and he is safer than the latter in terms of playing every match. Don't be surprised if Banner is dropped when Gray returns.
Malceski just unlucky to go with Kennelly like a lot of people did, including me.
Ablett safe as houses.
Well not too much to dog and moan about R2:
Still didn't get the Hitch/Gumby combo right - just gonna start Peterson next week and avoid it all together! :)
Swan as captain woulda liked 20 points more, but with the close tag can't be helped and coulda been worse.
Premiums all fired but mid-prices let me down somewhat.
Clark didn't and will be gone this time next week :)
Overall scored an extra 100 points and boosted my ranking to just outside 10,000.
No mistakes for me ;D
putting gumby as 9th forward round 2 with moore still on field :'(. copped a donut there since hitch was already covering for gray.

The Gray situation is really hurting your scores 'eh? Good news is he should be back this week. I am really regretting my choices for on field, Gumby on bench Hitchy starting, last week Gumby starting. This week I'm considering benching Ladson... for either Silvagni or Maguire

not really with alot of my guys doing pretty well. copped a donut and still managed a good 2200 this round. still a long way to go and i am eyeing a top 10k spot again this year 8)
I'm going to try really hard to break into the top 1000 this year, hopefully I can lie in the top 10k until round 15 and then bolt like last year.
- I put scully over tredgrove and martin, rage what an idiot
- Tippit is sucking hard
- Forgot to set my emergansies first round for Mcveigh
- Masden sucking
- Mcveigh now looking at not going to be fully fit this weekend
- GAJ not doing as well as I had hoped
- Don't have Brownie, and can't really trade for him at his price. What a big dog
- Mitchel basically 2nd best on ground only gets what 68 was it?
- Medhurst failing, dunno why i got him. He was my brothers suggestion
All in all I should be averaging about 2200 only getting 2050 average
Suck it up, Babs.
well scored 2,203 but i put shuey on the field instead of Barlow because i thought he wouldnr perform like how he did round 1 cost myself 100 points there!!!

going to have to use my 2nd trade of the year on Roo if he's out for 2 months.
I'm looking to get Dids in early here, just tossing up whether I should downgrade Ladson to a rookie and play Maguire to do it... This could potentially make or break my season...

When I was picking my team on the day before lockout number 1, I was tossing up whether to pair Pieterson or Relton with Gunby/Hitchy. Yes that's right. FML.
I feel venting my spleen at all the fantasy coaches who are continually posting thoughts on the Roo trade. It has been put up at least 100 times.I am gonna refuse to open any thread that has got anything to do with opinions on this particular trade.
