All 3 trades were arguably flops this week, although I did get some cash out of the Tsatas to Ashcroft trade. I'm sitting in a pretty great spot right now and need to wait for teams before I make my trades. I am thinking Bice and Moraes in, I just need to decide on which rookies out.

Not a great week after a crap captain pick (was tossing up Brayshaw and Sinclair as the other two) but I managed to move up the rankings again.
Originally I had planned to bail on Callaghan who has struggled since I traded him in. I need another forward to push Stone/Warner off field and I am thinking JHF. The other trade was Tsatas in. Here are the options I am tossing up instead.
Option 1
NOD and Callaghan for Whitfield/any mid/JHF and Tsatas
I make the two trades and I have the cash for Whitfield, any mid or JHF. Whitfield leaves me about 43k, I feel like JHF is the best player for my structure though, it gets plebs like Stone/Warner off the field.
Option 2
NOD, Campo and Callaghan for Tsatas, Travaglia and JHF/any mid.
This gets rid of Campo and I get possibly the two best rookies. I still feel like JHF is better for my structure than someone like Dawson. Otherwise Trac is an option but I feel like it is better to wait for him to get DPP before making that move.
Option 3
NOD, Stone and Warner for Tsatas, JHF and Dudley/Collard. That leaves me with 114k
I hold Callaghan who is going to drop with his 109 BE he doesn't look like getting near. It also means I jump off the rooks a week early which isn't necessarily a bad thing and hope Finn bounces back.
I'm actually leaning towards the last one now and giving Callaghan another week. Although Windhager scares the crap out of me and you know they're going to tag him after the monster offer they made in the offseason that he knocked back
I've got Callaghan in this format also and used three trades this week but kept him. He might get windhager this week for another bad score but I can see him bouncing back, not every team had a tagger, and projected price drop here is not that bad.
Not sure having missed the big JHF score he'd be the one I'd get but now I've been burnt by him three years in a row, this time I set myself on fire :). He could give you that big score every week... could.
I took Hall in the mids but I'm unsure of JS. see if he's named again this week. I already had Tsatas and would probably lean that way for the extra $100k.
Probably option 3 for me.
Excellent rank, your killing this format.
Nice rank keep it going. Think option 3 is the best as well.
I will post in here as well so you have company.

Callaghan had free run against the Eagles, had a pretty good Q1 and then just stopped. Windhager is a tough matchup, but the BE at 109 isn't horrendous so I can probably afford to hold.
JHF has a low BE this week and looking at the forwards, the top 3 guys I already own and then the group under that I feel like he is the best price for what he should outlay over the rest of the season. I feel like the forward line in RDT is always full of low scoring options that are boom or bust.
Simpkin was one I considered last week, but with Parker and Daniel it's hard to fit them all in. Wardlaw will also be back soon and Simpkin will move out of the CBA's a bit.
Toby is a risk for injury and suspension, although he is the one that is a bit of a POD
Darcy/Thilthorpe/Hogan will put up some clunkers as key forwards, I'd rather wait to see who the DPP forwards are
Miers will score a random 30 to kill your season
Jackson is injured
Rankine scored crap last weeks so will bleed cash and is in doubt for tonight, easy pass
Kennedy has Bont coming back in soon to push him out of the middle
Schultz is injured
I'm not picking Pickett or Mannagh off one game.
End result is JHF and it gets Stone/Warner off the field.
Kelly has been dropped so I would expect Hall to play. He doesn't seem to be scoring as well in RDT as he is in SC. I think I'm okay grabbing Dudley for a little bit less if he gets named for a similar output. Tsatas I feel has to come in if he is named. Caldwell out for a month should see him slot in nicely.

I feel like 3 makes the most sense. I keep the cash gen going with some cheaper rookies and bring in a genuine prem. It's the least sideways trade move of the lot and gets a rookie off the field.
Good to have someone else keeping the ghost town alive haha
With Tsatas out, I am looking at one of Travaglia or Hall instead.
I can afford to do Warner and NOD to Dudley and JHF and keep Stone using just the two trades. Otherwise I am leaning towards Travaglia in RDT with the DPP and he seems the better scorer in this comp.
If I grab Travaglia, I can then field Prior/Trainor and loop Moraes and Lindsay or I can just field both Moraes and Lindsay.
Smith VC didn't pan out and I'm going to stick with Merrett.

It was an okay but annoying week. I lost one of my league matchups by 3 points somehow after being up a ton initially. I think this was because my opponents lowest scorer was someone non-existent and I lost Moraes with the flex (I feel this is going to drive me nuts all year).
Starting Prior over Trainor hurt quite a bit and saw me drop rank. I'm 200 something points behind first which isn't impossible to make up. I need to be smart in the players I field and my captains for the season, I can't afford to drop points.
Looking ahead to this week, Cleary is an obvious trade in target for the Swans. He looked pretty good and works pretty well for someone like Stone as a straight swap. Gross also looked amazing for WC vs Carlton. Watching the game he really flashed with his pace through the contest.
I am planning to use my boost and I feel like Callaghan is the player to dump this week. Daicos is a pretty obvious trade in target, but I'll assess through the week.

It was a pretty crappy week which saw me drop almost 100 places in the rankings. So many mediocre players and both my rookie trade ins ended up as insane flops. I'm kinda ready to rage trade Ashcroft out of my side, but at the same time I'm wondering if I am better off holding and just riding it out while getting a rookie off the field instead.
The two guys I'm missing that seem to be dominating are Whitfield and Dawson. I'm thinking pretty hard about getting Whitfield in using Ashcroft. I think Trainor to Carroll isn't a bad trade either. Carroll should keep getting games for the next couple of weeks and Trainor has now stalled thanks to the sub score.
Trade options
Option 1
Ashcroft > Whitfield
Trainor > Carroll
171k in the bank
Option 2
Ashcroft > Whitfield
Trainor > Carroll
Parker > Taranto/Trac/Rankine/Holmes/Xerri (any player under 932.5k)
Option 3
Trainor > Carroll
Moraes > W. White
Knevitt > Any player under 929k (leaning towards Taranto or Trac)
What has me leaning towards option 3 is the fact I can get a rookie off the field. Bice, L. Ashcroft, Lindsay, Davidson and Lalor/Cleary would be my on field rookies
Trac may be the best pick with back to back tons and he has Richmond and WC in the next couple of weeks. He is likely a top forward come the end of the season.
Taranto is a pretty good POD and can pile on the big scores, he has scored 102, 97 and 120 in the last 3 with Melbourne, Hawthorn, WC, North and Essendon in his next 5.
I'd lean towards keeping the extra cash with Trac (63k vs 4k in the bank) but I think both can have a big month.
I went option 3 with Trac. The positive, Trac paid off. The negative, White and Carroll are on extended benches with Doc and Cowan named.
Looking at the extended bench, I would say that Acres, Hollands and Cowan are probably the three locks.
Young likely becomes an emergency with McKay back, Lord could be the sub again and then it comes down to one of Doc, Carroll and White for the last spot.
White may get it or start with the vest which would also be awful.
I can't afford many other options (and it's not like they're good. Part of me regrets parting with Trainor, but then I see the Trac score and it was probably worth the risk

My team bounced back pretty well this week after a disappointing one last week. I climbed the overall rankings but barely made up ground on 1st who has an excellent squad and scored about 10 points lower. A key is going to be me nailing all my rookies each week, Cleary on the bench this week hurts.
Trades were relatively successful. Trainor had a bounce back game but the Trac points were far better. White and Carroll were nice choices to replace Moraes and Knevitt, although I worry Carroll is on the chopping block this week. Seeing the guys I traded out in previous weeks kill it always hurts (Callaghan mainly), but Daicos had another great game and Cleary is also scoring really well.
Trades this week are tricky. Not many rookies available and I don't have a ton of cash. Lalor and Davidson out make the most sense if I do trade. It would have been nice to bring in a defender using DPP that can cover that thin bench like Holmes, but he had a stinker and will drop in price.
Whitfield is the guy I am missing, but I can't get the cash for him. Ash has been a nice POD, but I feel if I bring him in, I miss on Whitfield. I'd have to go early on someone like Hustwaite to make an Ash trade work and it leaves me around 17k.
Warner may be another one to consider as a forward at a much cheaper price point, I don't consider Parker a keeper and Warner can slot in nicely while I trade Parker to a legit mid in a couple of weeks
So I leant towards the Ash/Hustwaite combo and with all the other rookies dropping off or two expensive I decided on that route.
I do have a full squad, but with Oliver out I am now contemplating a boost and trade. All the top sides have Oliver, and while it has been announced as 1 week, it could stretch out and an extra premium score would be handy.
If I trade Oliver out, I have a few combos I can run with
1. Nas, Warner and 62k
2. Ash, Warner and 81k
3. Nas, Rankine and 8k
4. Holmes, Neale and $100
Clark, Serong and Taranto are a handful of other options I can run with as well.
I could also hold and just go with my Ash trade and field both Hustwaite and Lindsay instead of just the 1. Nas and Rankine seems like the best bang for my buck combo, but all the top teams have them and if I am trying to make up ground I don't know if that helps or hinders. Ash has been nuts the last 5 weeks and only Whitfield has outscored him.

I went with Neale this week so that's where my bias lies although I already have Rankine and he's been a very good pick. Holmes is struggling a bit with the tag, that's something to keep in mind.
I would go Nas and Rankine. Although Warner is a good pick concerned whether role will remain when players return.
Nas and Rankine, think the holmes neale trade slightly better however not yet for holmes break even is still 145.
Nas and Rankine does feel like the best trade right now. I can also do Ash instead of Nas with Rankine and pocket another 10k

Not a great week and I left some points on the bench which really hurt when I need to be flawless. First has extended the margin which isn't ideal, although it feels like I nailed the three trades I made. TDK is a bit of a worry, Lindsay has stalled, so has Bice after the poor showing on the weekend. Sinclair has been awful the last three weeks. I am trying to work out what I do this week and I am leaning towards something like this
Bice > Boxshall
Lindsay > Taranto
Taranto has a soft draw coming up with WC, North, Essendon in the next three. Other than Daicos and Roberts I don't have any players from that bye period which is also a bonus. He is also a POD in only 3% of teams. It leaves me bugger all cash with maybe Fonti as an option for White the following week to pocket 100k.
