I am embracing the lack of FWD and MID rookies and loading up on def.
Is it to light up at the back?
IMO opinion a little light in DEF and Ash is a maybe to play round one
You have cover (i think) in Brander off the bench but $193.8K is a lot to pay for a bench sitting rook if Ash does not get up
I do not disagree with Whitfield as a top forward but again a lot of $ - I would be looking at Whitfield =>Steven (+242.4K) and Ash => Rivers (+76.5K) add one well priced demi-prem defender with the extra $318.9K
Noble => Houston? Daniel?
Reckon that would give you 14 possible keepers too!
That said IMO You should get a full R1 team with what you have - good luck
Big fan, almost identical team to mine, but I just have Cripps instead of Danger and Ceglar instead of Parish.
So obviously I rate it highly! ;D
Roberton in def is a cheap way to strengthen it also if your willing to take the cash from a premo somewhere else.
I have ash would like it a cheaper rook starts but he's one of the more likely.
Mids, Rucks, Fwds all look good, can't have everything :)
The more I look the more I don't like Doc as a D2. I totally expect him to be a prem, but as a D3 being a rookie or Roberton type, I just feel you will end up playing rookies who you don't want to as its almost inevitable that some will be dropped.

I know Brown has more to make but I can't swing it any other way. How important is Neale? worth cutting a rookie early?
Biased as a Brisbane supporter as you know but in my opinion Neale is a must and as he continurs to rise will soon be priced out. S0 I would do all to get him this week as he will rise another 30k with a score of 130+.
Season is a train wreak. Going to back in premos and hope neale gets some tags. Can’t bring him in at an avg. of 140.
Will grab some rookies this week for cash gen and hope neale and fyfe fall back to the pack.

That is 3 premis from the dogs. Is this stupid?
Nope. To be honest they're great trades. They had three mids last year that killed it and Daniel was also a premium. I think the defenders to grab are Lloyd, Daniel or take the punt on Ridley. Lloyd will drop by the look of it so no point buying high. Daniel is on the uptick and while still in the 500's it doesn't feel like a break the bank move.
I would add Sicily and haynes to the list.
Might grab Ridley and Bont so I can upgrade next week.
I already have Sicily and that's a roller coaster. He was on 14 at HT last week. Finished excellently but you know he will burn you at some point.

I'm thinking a few of those defenders could be in the firing line. Noble may not come back, Brander could still be banged up, Rivers could be dropped and you don't want Hamill on the field. I'd probably go the route of grabbing a Lloyd/Daniel instead of Neale/Duncan. I think it comes down to which of those rookies are named in the end.
Think you need to wait and see which rookies are named and then make decisions. Most in the same boat with rookies not playing and needing to replace Rowell, Agree with Matt though wouldobably strengthen defence first.
