2019/2020 Trading Rules
- There is a cap on trading, each team have a limit of 20 player movements over two trade periods
- National and Rookie draft picks can be traded but are counted as a movement
- On trading a player or pick to another team will no longer count as a movement
- Trades are no longer restricted to 1 -1 or 2-2 and so forth, you can now trade 2-3 or 1-2 and so forth as well
- Trade period 1 will start after the conclusion of the Ben Graham Medal count on and conclude on (date TBD) at Midnight AEST
- Teams will be able to trade players that are delisted on the AFL website in hope another team signs them. Be aware there is a risk with this and if you chose to trade in a player that has been delisted, then you wear the consequences
- All trades will be ruled on by LF and Nige. Trades involving one of our own teams will see the coach involved excluded from the process in order to avoid a conflict of interest
- If coaches have a problem with a posted trade, you can PM LF and Nige to let them know of your concerns and the trade will be reviewed and may be either rejected or overturned if the complaint is seen to be justified
- Trade period 2 will start when the positions are named by AFL Fantasy/Virtual Sports for the up and coming season (trade period 2 will finish at the discretion of admin)
- Please leave any discussions on posted trades until the trade has been confirmed
- We aim to approved trades asap, we leave the trade up for a couple of days in case anyone has a problem with it before any approval or rejection is posted

Confirmed as well - need to start thinking about the future when all the top mids retire so trading Ross allows me Top pick to start recharging,
Springfield trade: Stefan Martin, Andrew McGrath & Ben Keays
Guadalajara trade: Michael Walters & Joel Selwood
We have a surplus of rucks, so it makes sense for Stefan Martin to move to the team that has his apprentice, Oscar McInerney. Likewise, we also have a surplus of defenders, which makes it somewhat easier to move a young gun in McGrath. In return, we get one of the more reliable DT forwards in Walters, as well as Joel Selwood, in the hope that he can turn around an underwhelming 2019 campaign.
Nige to confirm.

Sonny has been great for me but I'm cashing in on his value. Jelwood has been a big part of Guadalajara for a long time but it's time for him to move on. In return, I get Stef to partner Big O (and Krooz and Hickey), as well as McGrath for that future star, while I'm taking a punt on Keays finding a new home and getting game time in 2020 and beyond.
Confirmed.
Springfield trade: Jonathon Ceglar
Roswell trade: Tom McDonald
Ceglar has been pretty capable as a R/F, finishing the year with back-to-back tons as he took over #1 ruck duties from McEvoy. However, with Springfield's aforementioned ruck surplus, his services are more suitable to Roswell. In return, we grab a forward in a bit of a slump, being Tom McDonald. With that said, he's a valuable piece when up and about, and I'm hopeful that he can get back to his form of previous years next season.
LF to confirm.

Bermuda trade Bryce Gibbs, Daniel Lloyd & Zac Giles-Langdon
El Paso trade rookie #3 and rookie #27
Gibbs was gonna be our 10th possibly 11th mid would rather get a rookie pick and take a defender or forward and go younger
El Paso confirm.
We need to add to our mids. Gibbs future is up in the air but I’m willing to take that chance. He will provide some game time while our very young mids develop. Also adding a couple of forwards in Lloyd and ZGL.
Are we ok to assume the older posted trades are all approved?
Sorry, I’ll get around to formally ruling on these tomorrow at some point.
Calgary Trades: N17 + R17 + N41
Dallas Trades: Cam Guthrie + Taylor Duryea
It's public knowledge that I'm looking to move on my older players. Guthrie and Duryea are both in their late twenties, and while both would be in my Best 18, I have suitable enough cover so that they won't be heavily missed. In return I snag some nice picks in N17/R17, as well as N41 to continue the rebuild.
Griffen to confirm.

Basically the opposite of Griffen, getting rid of my older players, even though they're some of my best performers, and get a young player in De Goey, as well as N5 for another young gun
Guadalajara give: Paddy Dow + Harry Jones
Springfield give: Chris Masten + N37
Cutting my losses on Dow and Jones to a lesser extent while taking the risk on Masten and hoping there's enough value in the draft that I like to use the pick, otherwise it'll get passed on in favour of a rookie pick which will probably increase in value as people fill their lists.

Obviously Dow has failed to live up to expectations, but I'm willing to take a punt on him for minimal cost. Harry Jones is yet to be seen at AFL level, but after improvement for Box Hill this season I think he has promise as a prospect. Masten looks destined to find another home, with N37 added to balance out the trade.

Bolivia give: Jack Billings & National #48
Excited to acquire a young, premium scorer in Billings, even though he looks destined to be M-only next season. He found his niche last year and I'm expecting similar output going forward. In return, we give up Brandan Parfitt, who could be moved due to an abundance of forwards, and a highly rated youngster in Liam Stocker. National #48 added to help with Spingfield list management.

a ruck swap really and calgary helping
both teams not using their last rookie picks and i need them so they were happy to throw them in and r13 is pretty decent with the 1st round being strong

Confirm. Sorry for the late reply.
Don't have a need for Phillips or a rookie pick, and needed for depth if Witts gets injured. Zmith is handcuffed for this reason.
Trades approved.
El Paso trade: Ollie Wines
Springfield trade: Jason Johannisen & Jack Bytel
Wines had a disappointing season but is too good of a player not to bounce back next year. He'll add to an increasingly deep midfield, while I'm hopeful we'll be able to cover the loss of Johannisen. A promising young prospect, Jack Bytel, added for balance.
Barra to confirm.
Confirmed as above. Need depth for defenders. Always hard to give up a young midfielder but feel I can cover his absence.
Approved.
Also, trade period is closed.
