Title: ADT: Official Trade Thread 2019/2020
Post by: Nige on August 21, 2019, 01:45:12 PM
2019/2020 Trading Rules

- There is a cap on trading, each team have a limit of 20 player movements over two trade periods

- National and Rookie draft picks can be traded but are counted as a movement

- On trading a player or pick to another team will no longer count as a movement

- Trades are no longer restricted to 1 -1 or 2-2 and so forth, you can now trade 2-3 or 1-2 and so forth as well

- Trade period 1 will start after the conclusion of the Ben Graham Medal count on and conclude on (date TBD) at Midnight AEST

- Teams will be able to trade players that are delisted on the AFL website in hope another team signs them. Be aware there is a risk with this and if you chose to trade in a player that has been delisted, then you wear the consequences

- All trades will be ruled on by LF and Nige. Trades involving one of our own teams will see the coach involved excluded from the process in order to avoid a conflict of interest

- If coaches have a problem with a posted trade, you can PM LF and Nige to let them know of your concerns and the trade will be reviewed and may be either rejected or overturned if the complaint is seen to be justified

- Trade period 2 will start when the positions are named by AFL Fantasy/Virtual Sports for the up and coming season (trade period 2 will finish at the discretion of admin)

- Please leave any discussions on posted trades until the trade has been confirmed

- We aim to approved trades asap, we leave the trade up for a couple of days in case anyone has a problem with it before any approval or rejection is posted

Bermuda get Seb Ross and Nick Shipley

Hawaii give Seb Ross and rookie 32
Hawaii get Nat 1 & NAT 25

Roswell give Nick Shipley
Roswell get rookie 32

Reason being, we were only last because of titch and ward injuries so using nat 1 to boost our mids for next year with the return of said players

Shipley is no spud either was in the mix to play often for GWS this year which is why i wanted him

Springfield trade: Stefan Martin, Andrew McGrath & Ben Keays
Guadalajara trade: Michael Walters & Joel Selwood

We have a surplus of rucks, so it makes sense for Stefan Martin to move to the team that has his apprentice, Oscar McInerney. Likewise, we also have a surplus of defenders, which makes it somewhat easier to move a young gun in McGrath. In return, we get one of the more reliable DT forwards in Walters, as well as Joel Selwood, in the hope that he can turn around an underwhelming 2019 campaign.

Nige to confirm.

Sonny has been great for me but I'm cashing in on his value. Jelwood has been a big part of Guadalajara for a long time but it's time for him to move on. In return, I get Stef to partner Big O (and Krooz and Hickey), as well as McGrath for that future star, while I'm taking a punt on Keays finding a new home and getting game time in 2020 and beyond.

Confirmed.

Springfield trade: Jonathon Ceglar
Roswell trade: Tom McDonald

Ceglar has been pretty capable as a R/F, finishing the year with back-to-back tons as he took over #1 ruck duties from McEvoy. However, with Springfield's aforementioned ruck surplus, his services are more suitable to Roswell. In return, we grab a forward in a bit of a slump, being Tom McDonald. With that said, he's a valuable piece when up and about, and I'm hopeful that he can get back to his form of previous years next season.

LF to confirm.

We need to add to our mids. Gibbs future is up in the air but I’m willing to take that chance. He will provide some game time while our very young mids develop. Also adding a couple of forwards in Lloyd and ZGL.

Calgary Trades: N17 + R17 + N41
Dallas Trades: Cam Guthrie + Taylor Duryea

It's public knowledge that I'm looking to move on my older players. Guthrie and Duryea are both in their late twenties, and while both would be in my Best 18, I have suitable enough cover so that they won't be heavily missed. In return I snag some nice picks in N17/R17, as well as N41 to continue the rebuild.

Griffen to confirm.

Springfield give: Chris Masten + N37

Cutting my losses on Dow and Jones to a lesser extent while taking the risk on Masten and hoping there's enough value in the draft that I like to use the pick, otherwise it'll get passed on in favour of a rookie pick which will probably increase in value as people fill their lists.

Confirmed.

Obviously Dow has failed to live up to expectations, but I'm willing to take a punt on him for minimal cost. Harry Jones is yet to be seen at AFL level, but after improvement for Box Hill this season I think he has promise as a prospect. Masten looks destined to find another home, with N37 added to balance out the trade.

Springfield give: Brandan Parfitt & Liam Stocker
Bolivia give: Jack Billings & National #48

Excited to acquire a young, premium scorer in Billings, even though he looks destined to be M-only next season. He found his niche last year and I'm expecting similar output going forward. In return, we give up Brandan Parfitt, who could be moved due to an abundance of forwards, and a highly rated youngster in Liam Stocker. National #48 added to help with Spingfield list management.

Midfielders won't be my issue next year, it'll be forwards. 1 good young Def prospect in Stocker and a contender for break out next season in Parfitt as a forward will help with Bolivia's shift around tactics.

Confirmed.

LA Kings Trade: Jack Ziebell

Arizona Trade: Sam Powell-Pepper

SPP suits the age profile we are looking for and we are confident he can increase his output as well next year.

nas to confirm

Have a few DPP losing F status so SPP goes & gain JZ who should maintain his F status.

Confirm.

Arizona Trade: S P-Pepper + Nd #47.
LA Kings Trade: Jack Ziebell.

ND Pick added for balance of trade.

SR to confirm.

Yup, all good for me

Calgary Trade: Taylor Adams
Arizona Trade: Rory Sloane and Harry Cunningham

Sloane still got a few years left and Cunningham adds a nice addiction to the team. Been happy to let Adams goes with his frequency of missing games

Nas to confirm

Adams adding some more youth to the Mids. Sorry to see Sloane & Cunningham go, but feel some changes needed to take that next step.

Confirm.

Dallas Trade: Dougal Howard and N41
Arizona Trade: Brent Daniels

I liked the look of Daniels in 2019 and am keen to see where he takes that in 2020, a promising young forward which fits my needs perfectly. In exchange I part with Howard, who has shown some glimpses both up forward and down back, but hasn't really settled yet. N41 to balance the trade.

nas to confirm.

Daniels has showed some glimpses & played every game this season, but is surplus to the side. Dougal as stated shown glimpses & could be on the move to another club in this trade period.

Springfield trade: Jack Newnes
Hawaii trade: Dayne Beams

Neither Beams nor Newnes are performing at their best at the moment, with both coaches taking a punt on the other's player. The difference in points is balanced out by the difference in age.

Ringo to confirm.

Confirmed taking a punt on Newnes being younger than Beams and very durable and only missing 2 games over the last 7 years,

Springfield trade: National #34 & Will Walker
Los Angeles trade: Shannon Hurn & Rookie #40
Bolivia trade: National #36 & Rookie #48

Springfield receive: Shannon Hurn, Rookie #40 & Rookie #48
Los Angeles receive: National #34 & National #36
Bolivia receive: Will Walker

With Jarman Impey suspected to miss most of the year with an ACL, Springfield needed a defender to fill the hole in the short term. Shannon Hurn should be a pretty good option to do so.

SR & PK to confirm.

WW will either be delisted or will be a breakout player next year. I'm fine with that punt.

Confirm, losing our highest scoring defender isnt ideal, but two picks should help us find some nice replacements

Dallas trades: N38
Arizona trades: Matt Flynn

Really just taking a punt on Flynn, since I have mumford. I know he has the LTI, but the potential is there, and he'll inherit the #1 position when Sauce(?) and Mummy are gone in a few years.

nas to confirm

bermuda give r13
bermuda get andrew phillips, r41, r43

washington give andrew phillips, r43
washington get zac smith

calgary give zac smith and r41
calgary get r13

a ruck swap really and calgary helping

both teams not using their last rookie picks and i need them so they were happy to throw them in and r13 is pretty decent with the 1st round being strong

Confirm. Sorry for the late reply.

Don't have a need for Phillips or a rookie pick, and needed for depth if Witts gets injured. Zmith is handcuffed for this reason.

El Paso trade: Ollie Wines
Springfield trade: Jason Johannisen & Jack Bytel

Wines had a disappointing season but is too good of a player not to bounce back next year. He'll add to an increasingly deep midfield, while I'm hopeful we'll be able to cover the loss of Johannisen. A promising young prospect, Jack Bytel, added for balance.

Barra to confirm.

Confirmed as above. Need depth for defenders. Always hard to give up a young midfielder but feel I can cover his absence.
