Round 1
Rising Star
After a solid 30 or so months fending off the doubters, the Royals can finally retort with confidence. Willem Drew's excellent debut showing of 103 is our first nominee of 2019. However, New Delhi's Sam Taylor (108) would be the nominee if not for some chump like Shane Savage standing in the way, or even Seoul's Bailey Scott (103) could have shared the honours with Drew if played.
Team of the Week
Great to see some players in the team from last years bottom few, with special mentions to Nic Newman (Mexico City) and Dom Sheed (London) in particular. But, it was familiar faces for captaincy honours, with the Bont going gangbusters for Pacific, with good guy Rory Sloane not far behind for Dublin.
Cam McCarthy (Seoul) would have made the team too if selected!

Round 2
Rising Star
A WHOLE LOTTA ROZEE!
Connor Rozee (85) gets the nod this week from Moscow, edging out Sam Walsh's 83 (Mexico City). However, Sun Luke Davies-Uniacke (118), Cobra James Cousins (92) and Destroyer Zak Butters (88) all would have been given the nod instead if they were selected.
Team of the Week
A very unique team this week! First thing that jumps out of you is the strong showing of the rucks; there is three of them, and Tokyo's Scott Lycett is the captain! Beijing's midfield came to play, whilst small forwards Gresham and Daniel do New York & Buenos Aires proud.
D: Jeremy McGovern (Cairo), Daniel Rich (Rio de Janeiro), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Jack Crisp (Moscow)
M: Ben Cunnington [VC] (Cape Town), Clayton Oliver (Seoul), David Swallow (Beijing), Lachie Neale (Beijing)

Darn if only Jroo was subbed off. Butters the only good thing that happend this week, wont make the mistake again. Butters named this week.
Over/under on Holz selling high on Butters like he does with most of his talent?

I could ARB that I reckon.
EDIT: Aw, not quite.
Few boys doing the Jing proud 8)
Round 3
Rising Star
It was an inevitable nomination, with Mexico City's Sam Walsh (112) validating all reports of his prowess. Connor Rozee (116) would have otherwise taken out the Round 3 nomination if not for his efforts last week, whilst Walsh's teammate Charlie Constable (99) was runner-up (if played in seniors).
Team of the Week
An interesting team this one, with Rio, Beijing, New York and Toronto each having a player in the midfield and forward lines! Those teams pretty much dominated the team, with some cameos from others. 3 weeks, 3 coaches of the week!
D: Luke Ryan (PNL), Lachie Whitfield (Tokyo), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Josh Walker (Rio de Janeiro)
M: Lachie Neale [C] (Beijing), Patrick Cripps (Rio de Janeiro), Tom Liberatore (New York), Jack Macrae (Toronto)
R: Brodie Grundy (Beijing)

I: David Zaharakis (Cairo), Shaun Higgins (Cape Town)
Coach: PowerBug (Rio de Janeiro)
Walshy :-*. Won't be long before a few more of our boys join him
Ryan you beast.
Round 4
Rising Star
Whilst it's been a slow start for Pacific so far this year (compared to their lofty standards), some new faces have done them some good, with WXV debutant Jack Ross (87) taking home the Round 4 Rising Star nomination, edging out PNL's Bailey Smith (75).
Jack Scrimshaw (Buenos Aires), Josh Rotham (Moscow) and Liam Baker (Beijing) could have all got the nomination if played in the seniors, with 98, 98 and 91 scored respectively.
Team of the Week
Patrick Cripps is the VERY deserving Captain of this week's team, both on the 'highest points' metric and the 'match winning performance' metric. In fact, the top 3 scorers this week in Cripps, Grundy and Merrett were all selected as captains!
In other news, David Mundy is a new yet old face to TOTW, Dylan Grimes is just totally new, whilst the performances of Jack Redden [145] (Toronto) and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti [143] (Tokyo) go unrecognised.
This is also Travis Boak's 4th from 4 TOTW appearances!
D: Shannon Hurn (New Delhi), Lachie Whitfield (Tokyo), Brandon Ellis (Beijing), Dylan Grimes (London)
M: Patrick Cripps [C] (Rio de Janeiro), Zach Merrett (PNL), Lachie Neale (Beijing), Tom Rockliff (Beijing)
R: Brodie Grundy [VC] (Beijing)
F: David Mundy (Berlin), Travis Boak (Toronto), Isaac Heeney (New York), Jack Billings (PNL)
I: Sebastian Ross (Tokyo), Brad Ebert (Cape Town)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Well done Jack, 25 touches in your first game of AFL. Keep that up and we will have to add you to the leadership group.
Few good Thunder boys repping Beijing the last couple of weeks 8)
Love seeing the pig back in there!
4/4 for Boaky, hopefully the Hutchings tags goes elsewhere this weekend and the streak continues.
Round 5
Rising Star
He had big props pre-season, and he lived up to them in his debut WXV performance. Mexico City's Jackson Hately (95) his Round 5's rising star nominee, edging out Christchurch's Brent Daniels. Cobra Petrucelle (100) and Revolter Ben Paton (95) will rue what could have been, whilst Hately's teammate Sam Walsh (112) was the biggest performer of the round.
Team of the Week
He was right the whole time. Harry McKay's almost match winning performance sees him earn an unlikely Captain's gig, ahead of the more likely suspect Adam Treloar. The handsomest coach around gets coach of the week honours, making that 5 different coaches in 5 rounds!
Meanwhile, David Mackay says hi to the would-be victorious Cobras.
D: Brad Sheppard (London), Shannon Hurn (New Delhi), James Sicily (Mexico City), Jack Crisp (Moscow)
M: Adam Treloar (Moscow) [VC], Zach Merrett (PNL), Ed Langdon (New Delhi), Ricky Henderson (Cairo)
R: Max Gawn (Berlin)
F: Harry McKay [C] (Christchurch), Michael Walters (Berlin), Sam Petrevski-Seton (Moscow), Orazio Fantasia (London)
I: Tim Kelly (Toronto), Patrick Dangerfield (Seoul)
Coach: Purple 77 (Berlin)

No surprise with the amount of bargains you landed in the draft
Round 6
Rising Star
In a performance that would baffle Ralph Wiggum, Cape Town's Josh Battle (110) produced a break out performance to indisputable claim the round 6 nomination.
Team of the Week
A lot more familiar faces in this one! GAJ & Pendles take us back to their fantasy glory days, Boak takes out his 5th TOTW appearance, Laird, Grundy, Gawn, Neale, Sicily... all fairly vanilla!
So naturally the eye turns to Nick Vlastuin leading from the front, whilst it was also good to see #MundyThreeHundy get a spot.
And well done to Toges for becoming our first multiple TOTW coach!
D: Nick Vlastuin [C] (Cairo), Bachar Houli (New Delhi), James Sicily (Mexico City), Rory Laird (Pacific)
M: Gary Jnr Ablett [VC] (Toronto), Lachie Neale (Beijing), Scott Pendlebury (New Delhi), Tim Taranto (Rio de Janeiro)
R: Max Gawn (Berlin)
F: Travis Boak (Toronto), Kane Lambert (Beijing), Mitch Robinson (Cairo), David Mundy (Berlin)
I: Tom Hickey (Mexico City), Brodie Grundy (Beijing)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Hickey already has two TOTW appearances :o
Battleeeee
Vlas and Robbo getting it done!
Just need that consistently from the boys 8)
Round 7
Rising Star
Starring in his teams masterclass performance over Berlin, Rio de Janeiro's Tarryn Thomas (107) has beaten all other challengers to be crowned the Round 7 Rising Star nominee. Runners up include Seoul's Zurhaar (95) stuck in the reserves, and Cape Town's Gryan Miers (92) flourishing in the seniors.
Team of the Week
Co-captains this week! Pacific's Andrew Gaff consolidated his sides win, whilst Moscow's George Hewett was the difference for the Spetsnaz. PNL's defensive duo Ryan & Crozier were pivotal in the Reindeers win over Cairo, and a special shout out to Dillo Dumont for one of his first appearances in the TOTW.
D: Luke Ryan (PNL), Zac Williams (Tokyo), Aaron Naughton (Mexico City), Hayden Crozier (PNL)
M: Andrew Gaff [CC] (Pacific), George Hewett [CC] (Moscow), Marcus Bontempelli (Pacific), Trent Dumont (Buenos Aires)
R: Max Gawn (Berlin)
F: David Mundy (Berlin), Jeremy Cameron (Rio de Janeiro), Josh Dunkley (Tokyo), Jack Darling (New Delhi)
I: Luke Shuey (London), Elliot Yeo (Rio de Janeiro)
Coach: PowerBug (Rio de Janeiro)
King George :-*
Round 8
Rising Star
Shai Bolton (126)? Nup, stuck in reserves. Josh Battle (114)? Already nominated, and in reserves. James Cousins (94)? Another Cape Town young gun that could have put up a showing in the seniors.
This weeks nominee is Mexico City's Charlie Constable (92), who is the Suns third nomination so far this year!
Team of the Week
Nick Holman (Tokyo) misses out, stuck in reserves, whilst Clarry dons the C with a nuts 175!
Several new faces in this one, with Lienert, CL Brown, Houston and Lobb making appearances.
D: Heath Shaw (Beijing), Dan Houston (New York), Jackson Trengove (Christchurch), Jarrod Lienert (Berlin)
M: Clayton Oliver [C] (Seoul), Josh Kelly (Seoul), Rory Sloane (Dublin), Jack Macrae (Toronto)
R: Brodie Grundy (Beijing)
F: Tim Kelly [VC] (Toronto), Josh Dunkley (Tokyo), Rory Lobb (Cairo), Callum L Brown (Moscow)
I: Nat Fyfe (Berlin), Zach Merrett (PNL)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Round 9
Rising Star
Despite the loss, it feels like PNL have made some positive inroads recently, and Bailey Smith (104) is no exception.
Noah Balta (Mexico City) (101) and Taylin Duman (Toronto) (99) are keen to get a game next week though!
Team of the Week
Back-to-back coach-of-the-weeks gongs for Toga, whilst only his go-to ruck Brodie Grundy was the only player from last week to appear this week! Granted, last week was quite strange, this week is more of your regular programming, with a special shout-out to defence! Tokyo's Whitfield (170) enjoyed a poor Carlton team, whilst Rio players were everywhere!
... Gawn & Grundy did score the same, but I gave it to him purely coz you guys won and had a bigger score Beijing :P
Finally... Yazuwa's Charlie Cameron (117) says hi why? That's three tons in the past month now Boomzie! PLAY HIM!
D: Lachie Whitfield [C] (Tokyo), Shannon Hurn [VC] (New Delhi), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Jeremy Finlayson (Rio de Janeiro)
M: Lachie Neale (Beijing), Luke Parker (Buenos Aires), Mitch Duncan (Cape Town), Tim Taranto (Rio de Janeiro)
R: Brodie Grundy (Beijing)
F: David Mundy (Berlin), Jack Ziebell (Rio de Janeiro), Connor Rozee (Moscow), Isaac Heeney (New York)
I: Max Gawn (Berlin), Elliot Yeo (Rio de Janeiro)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Damn, ANB just missed out on that R1 spot i reckon
Beijing boys putting in a solid effort across the board 8)
Round 10
Rising Star
It's been a long time coming, but New York's Xavier Duursma (108) gets the nod this week for his efforts, which were greater than any other eligible player. Beijing's Liam Baker (105) was not far behind though!
Team of the Week
Imagine resting a 146 scoring forward and losing a game by 7 points... well, Jack Gunston (Dublin) was left to do just that. Himmelberg got rewarded for his match winning efforts, whilst Sam B Reid, Darcy Parish and regular Tim Kelly make up an otherwise unconventional forward line. Special probs to late-call up Nathan Wilson too, whilst Brodie "look at me, I can towel up a nuffie ruckman and be called the best ruck in the country" Grundy gets the "C".
Also, Toga should learn to share the Coach of the Week. He's embarking upon a perfect month now!
D: Bachar Houli (New Delhi), Luke Ryan (PNL), Nathan Wilson (Seoul), Harris Andrews (Cape Town)
M: Josh Kelly (Seoul), Scott Pendlebury (New Delhi), Rory Sloane (Dublin), Luke Shuey (London)
R: Brodie Grundy [C] (Beijing)
F: Sam B Reid [VC] (Christchurch), Tim Kelly (Toronto), Darcy Parish (Buenos Aires), Harrison Himmelberg (Pacific)
I: Max Gawn (Berlin), Todd Goldstein (Dublin)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Give Himmelberg some sort of special award for that effort. Not just the fact he scored well but that his AFL teammates that he stole the goals off were in my team!
Duursma! Finally we're on the board :)
Bellcho robbed
Me and the Brodie don't wanna share :P
Round 11
Rising Star
Following on from Port Adelaide teammate Duursma, Dublin's Zak Butters (112) finally gets reward for effort, whilst New York's Esava Ratugolea (114) will have to wait for another day to get a nom.
Team of the Week
Everyone is a regular in this team, perhaps bar Rowan Marshall. Moscow NAILED it's co-captains, with Coniglio posting 2019s first double-ton, followed by Heppell's 153. But, Berlin's Max Gawn was sandwiched between them and its VC Fyfe coming in at 4th.
Ricophants spoils Beijing's perfect month, whilst only 8 teams where represented in this team
D: Bachar Houli (New Delhi), Dane Rampe (Berlin), Michael Hurley (Pacific), Harris Andrews (Cape Town)
M: Stephen Coniglio [C] (Moscow), Dyson Heppell (Moscow), Nat Fyfe (Berlin), Josh Kelly (Seoul)
R: Max Gawn [VC] (Berlin)
F: Rowan Marshall (Toronto), Jack Darling (New Delhi), Travis Boak (Toronto), Patrick Dangerfield (Seoul)
I: Luke Parker (Buenos Aires), Scott Pendlebury (New Delhi)
Coach: Ricophants (New Delhi)
Rowan! Hopefully the first of many :-*
Butters!!!
Might be my f1 next year at this rate
Round 12
Rising Star
Righting the wrongs of last week, Esava Ratugolea (New York) has taken out the nomination this week for this 87 against Cairo, edging out Cape Town's Gryan Miers (85) for the nom.
Team of the Week
Although not quite at the same level as a C last round, Patrick Cripps hulked out a 194 to earn it this week, with Tokyo's Josh Dunkley (173) not far behind. Interestingly enough, both players captained a losing side!
In what is normally the lowest scoring line, the forward line combined for a mammoth 649 points this week, and that's not including the two forwards on the bench!
BUT THE CRAZIEST PART OF THE ROUND?!
Despite scoring overall at least 400SC points more than the next best team this year, AND only having one player feature in this TOTW, FTC has just now notched up his first Coach of the Week title :o :o :o :o
D: Dane Rampe (Berlin), Jarrod Harbrow (Berlin), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Aliir Aliir (Pacific)
M: Patrick Cripps [C] (Rio de Janeiro), Jack Macrae (Toronto), Sam Walsh (Mexico City), Zach Merrett (PNL)

The papsmear!
Round 13
Rising Star
It's been a long time coming, but Cape Town's Gryan Miers (110) finally gets his nom, putting forward one of the stronger claims for the rising star honour.
Team of the Week
Although playing in the ruck, swinging him forward maximized the TOTWs points and showed just how valuable Tokyo's Scott Lycett is. Other than that, it was pretty much the Toronto & Beijing show having three players a piece. FTC also getting some coach of the week noms late in the year, with his biggest score of the season yet!
D: Christian Salem (Seoul), Hamish Hartlett (Rio de Janeiro), Zac Williams (Tokyo), Jasper Pittard (Cape Town)
M: Dayne Zorko (Beijing), Nat Fyfe (Berlin), Ben Cunnington (Cape Town), Jack Macrae (Toronto)
R: Brodie Grundy (Beijing)
F: Scott Lycett [C] (Tokyo), Rowan Marshall [VC] (Toronto), Tim Kelly (Toronto), Jack Darling (New Delhi)
I: Lachie Neale (Beijing), Adam Treloar (Moscow)
Coach: fanTCfool (Toronto)
Round 14
Rising Star
Shai Bolton (Mexico City) and Cameron Zurhaar (Seoul) really went for it with 110+ scores, but it was Christchurch's James Rowbottom (99) that made his points count!
Team of the Week
A midfield domination this week, with 4 of the 5 highest scorers coming from that line, including CCs Oliver & Coniglio. Else, the more-common-than-you-think three rucks featured a blast from the past in Goldstein & Kreuzer, whilst Beijing's patience in DBJ is starting to pay off.
Jason Castagna (Cairo) couldn't make his 143 count from the reserves, nor does Josh Bruce's (London) 138. But flowering McCarthy's (Cairo) does...
D: James Sicily (Mexico City), Brad Sheppard (London), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Darcy Byrne-Jones (Beijing)
M: Clayton Oliver [CC] (Seoul), Stephen Coniglio [CC] (Moscow), Lachie Neale (Beijing), Marcus Bontempelli (Pacific)
R: Todd Goldstein (Dublin)
F: Patrick Dangerfield (Seoul), Jack Billings (PNL), Tom McDonald (Dublin), Lincoln McCarthy (Cairo)
I: Brodie Grundy (Beijing), Matthew Kreuzer (Toronto)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)

Krooooooooooz
Big yes to Horse playing Rowbottom through the middle :-*
Darce 8)
Round 15
Rising Star
Atoning for last weeks missed opportunity, Mexico City's Shai Bolton (112) take home the nom this week, and funnily enough, just like last week, beats out Seoul's Cameron Zurhaar (103) who was stuck in the reserves.
Team of the Week
Well, look at this motley crew! Dunkley goes the double-ton to captain the side, who are just made up of very random players! Well done to Boomz for taking out coach of the week, with JROO8 runner up!
D: Robbie Tarrant (Christchurch), Nic Newman (Mexico City), Taylor Duryea (New York), Darcy Byrne-Jones (Beijing)
M: Josh Dunkley [C] (Tokyo), Lachie Hunter (Mexico City), Nat Fyfe (Berlin), Jarryd Lyons (Pacific)

F: Patrick Dangerfield [VC] (Seoul), Ben Brown (Cairo), Toby Greene (Dublin), Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (Tokyo)

Coach: Boomz (Tokyo)
To reiterate, look at that strange TOTW!

There's nothing strange about Robbie Tarrant 8)
Finally Shai ::) :-*
Round 16
Rising Star
The positives are starting to accumulate at the Saints, with Brent Daniels (82) the latest to go on that list. Dublin's Mitch Lewis though will be wondering how to get a game, missing out on another potential rising star nom.
Team of the Week
Jarryd Lyons tried his best for Pacific, taking out this week's captaincy. Match winner Dom Sheed joins Seoul duo Oliver & Shiels who were also crucial in the win against Toronto, whilst Jack Lonie may have played PNL out of a priority pick!
D: Christian Salem (Seoul), Brodie Smith (New York), Jake Lloyd (New Delhi), Lachie Whitfield (Tokyo)
M: Jarryd Lyons [C] (Pacific), Clayton Oliver (Seoul), Dom Sheed (London), Liam Shiels (Seoul)
R: Brodie Grundy [VC] (Beijing)
F: Rowan Marshall (Toronto), Jeremy Cameron (Rio de Janeiro), Jack Lonie (PNL), Josh Dunkley (Tokyo)
I: Reilly O'Brien (Buenos Aires), Max Gawn (Berlin)
Coach: Toga (Beijing)
Lyons back to back team of the weeks, might have to roll the dice and make him Pacific Captain for the last match.
Round 17
Rising Star
Early season fantasy favourite Will Setterfield (Seoul) is our final rising star nominee, beating out teammate Cameron Zurhaar for the honour. Noah Answerth & Ben King could have been the nominee if played, but will have to try again next year!
Team of the Week
It was fitting that the best team of the H&A season posted the season high score in the final round, with FTC in charge of 4 representatives this week. Josh J Kennedy (Dublin) and Aaron Naughton (Mexico City) missed out from the reserves, whilst Tokyo's Sebastian Ross gave his all to try and ruin my season. Noted, Seb.
