Hey guys, have pick no 2 in the draft.
Just wanted to know all of your top 3 picks who would you pick in SC DRAFT.
Our no 1 pick is going to Dangerfield due to Being forward this year so wanting to hear what everyone thinks is the best of the rest.
Gawn? Grundy? Macrae? Cripps? Fyfe?
Grundy, Gawn, Macrae

Grundy, Gawn, Macrae
Grundy & Gawn are the cream of the crop when it comes to choosing ruckman.
I just don’t know if they are justified as being picked up as essentially first pick. It sounds silly I know.
Trying to see who is the best perms captain option who will pump those 120+ scores week in and week out
They're the cream of the crop when it comes to everyone - them being that much better then the next ruck makes them an even more obvious choice.
How many teams are there in your competition? IMO, the greater the number of teams, the greater the value of taking a ruck first up.
Danger
Grundy
Fyfe/Gawn

I'd even take Grundy before Danger.

Grundy or Gawn for me
1. Danger
2. Grundy
3. Gawn
They will likely all be 15 points clear of the next best in their positions. There's plenty of good midfielders to pick from

You know make very good points.
There are 14 teams
Structure of teams will be like 4,4,1,4
There are heaps of good midfielders as everyone said.
Each year I take the highest forwards or defenders if they are a clear difference between the cream of the crop n the next lot of players in that category.
This year maybe it’s looking at Gawn n Grundy over the next lot of ruckman.
The next question is: durabaility n consistency n scoring between hasn’t n Grundy??? Who would u pick and why?
1. Grundy
2. Gawn
3. Danger
Im in two draft leagues and both drafts went like this start:
1 - Danger
2 - Grundy
3 - Gawn
4 - Cripps/Macrae
5 - Cripps/Macrae
6 - Fyfe
1. Grundy
2. Gawn
3. Danger
I’m in a paid league/16 teams, and our top 10 went:
1. Grundy
2. Gawn
3. Dangerfield
4. Dusty Martin
5. Macrae
6. Cripps
7. Fyfe
8. Oliver
9. J Kelly
10. Neale
My draft is happening this upcoming weekend after round 1.
It is very early days , no need to panic but even after round 1 my hesitation to pick graham n Grundy is still there. Even though the differential between either one n the next tier ruckman surpasses the likelihood of sooo many good midfielders in very tempted to get an ultra premium like macrae who is an accumulator and will be good for 120+ week in week out which is what u want from ur first pick in draft.
Is this silly?
Thoughts?
Draft happened yet? Would almost be tempted to go Fyfe after this weekend aha

Nope on Saturday. We miss out on r1 and r2 in draft. Given it’s on Saturday day I can suss out thurs n Friday night matched before I make a pick. Grundy, Gawn, macrae and even Fyfe I’m tossing up between. Thoughts? I just don’t know if I’m chasing points with Grundy even tho I think Gawn n Grundy will be the two best ruckman. Would rather have an super mid who scores 120+ week in and week out.

I believe this will not be the year for Ruckmen, and it will be dominated by mids who can break the game open.
My order would be:
Fyfe
Cripps
Dusty
Danger

I agree. I just think mids are a safer option for that 120+ score. I’ve chose Fyfe last couple of years and have been burnt by him due to injury. I just don’t know whether Fyfe or macrae. At the end of the day it comes down to who will the no 1 mid be by points total?

I completely missed Macrae.
I would lock Macrae or Cripps in as Fyfe will likely average more but miss some games.
Just my opinion anyway

Grundy is gonna score 120+ and I still have my reservations about him. Will he have ups and downs or is a consistent mid better?

Damn! 130 by the G man. Now this makes it harder! Macrae Fyfe or One of the big G ruckman! Still siding with a mid!

Sticknwith your gut. You won't be upset by having Macrae or Fyfe in you team as permanent captain
