A clash against 17th-placed Gold Coast presents a real opportunity for Melbourne. The Demons are jostling with a raft of teams for the final places in the top eight and a big win over the struggling Suns would prove to be a major fillip for Simon Goodwin's side. However, the Demons cannot get caught up in thinking about chalking up potential percentage-boosting wins. Melbourne needs to concentrate on the present and make sure it gives itself every chance to win its four remaining matches against the Suns, Sydney, West Coast and Greater Western Sydney. Melbourne was challenged against Adelaide and responded positively with youngsters Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver standing up when it counted. For the Suns, finishing off a season they would rather forget in a positive way will be their major focus.
