Title: Round 15 Trades
Post by: jbjimmyjb on June 24, 2018, 09:04:03 PM
Bubble Boys:
- Mason Redman 113k (DEF) *note he may not play, was on crutches after the game*
- Josh Battle 123k (FWD)
- Joel Smith 152k (DEF/MID)

First Gamers:
- Jacob Dawson 102k (MID) didn't look out of his depth though for his first game, spent a lot of time on Mitchell. (scored 51)

Keep in mind we're back to the 2 trade per week limit, as the byes are over! Yay!

Guelfi > Battle
Holman > J.Kelly

Leaves me with 5 Trades and $42.1k in the bank

Laird, TMac, Simpson, Yeo, Howe, Hibberd (Mihocek, Ridley)

Fyfe, Titch, Cripps, J.Kelly, Oliver, Danger, Treloar, Dusty (Ahern, Phillips, Giro)

Gawn, Goldy (English)

Sicily, Heeney, Gray, Westoff, McLean, Dahlhause (T.Smith, Battle)

So side done just the 2 issues Hibberd and Dahlhause

I have 6 trades left, but need 2 to get my last upgrade.
Buddy is my target (have McLean,Smith,Gray,Walters,Heeney)

Question is with Fritsch playing Saints and Buddy playing Tiges, do I hold off this week?
Can see Fritsch matching if not actually outscoring Buddy.
Can't afford to upgrade anyone else.

Have 4 trade 1 spot have to do a downgrade to get the upgrade.

So a rookie down to a 102K rookie then duman>lloyd

Spargo to Battle, Fritsch to Lloyd (via Sicily)

Looking at Josh Kelly now.

Either
1. Fritsch and Spargo to Lloyd (via Sicily) and Battle
2. Fritsch and Brayshaw to Kelly and Battle

Lloyd BE of 108 (vs Tigers at MCG)
Kelly BE of 55 (va Hawks at Spotless)

Thoughts?!!

Reckon I might just hold this week (First time all year lol)

I could upgrade Fritsch to Buddy/Menegola/Devon but might back in Fritsch for a while longer and save the trade

I have 580k in the bank and an itchy trade finger. Two upgrades to finish my team, any mid, and any Fwd/Def.

Currently its Guelfi and Ryan to Danger/Kelly/Treloar and Gray/Hoff. Leaning to Kelly and Hoff. Leaves 7 trades and a finished team.

Awaiting injuries and this mornings diagnosis on Andrews not good so will reassess later in the week. Plan was Spargo down and Bundy/Fritsch to Buddy or Gray.

So may hold on forwards and just do Andrews to Simmo or Crisp if required,

Bring on 2019 as injuries still wrecking my team.  Have Treloar as well.

I have Savage as my D6 however contemplating on doing a luxury trade to McDonald. This would leave me with a backline of Laird, Yeo, Lloyd, Simpson, Hurley, McDonald. Just looks much stronger than having Savage there. I have a completed team and enough cash to do this, but would only have 4 trades left instead of 5.

Is it worth it or too risky only having 4 trades left?  Is it worth getting the extra 15-20 points per round?

I might just wait and see what happens over the next few rounds and if Savage keeps pumping out 77's and 88's like he has past two rounds and there are no major injuries, I will look at upgrading him to the best available DEF or FWD at that time.

Feel like rolling the dice.
My season is stuffed to the showerhouse so I may as well live like a king for 1 week.  ;D

Spargo to Menegola. Holman to Wilson.
1 Trade left.  :o
Probably won't do it as I've been in doughnut city before with no ruck cover, about 4-5 years ago when NicNat didn't play out the season. Bound to happen again. Tempted though, as then my torment will be over and I'll be resigned to my fate.

So with injuries and season stuffed

Andrews to Lloyd
Treloar to Wingard allows more DPP options

So I would've had the cash for Crippa had he not been a ginormous showoff and hit his BE.

At the moment I'm bringing in Gaff but what do people think of Sidey now that Treloar is down?

Other options are probably Selwood and Pendles.

Anyone care to rank the 4 for me? :-*

Good plan. Multiple positions may prove handy with few/no trades left and with no Treloar he could be played as a full time mid. Considering him too over Menegola

I have Fritsch F5 and T. Smith/Guelfi at F6. Was going to bring in Buddy for one of those. But Treloar injury hurts.

Who do I bring in for Treloar:
1) Buddy (McLean DPP)
2) Oliver

Buddy super cheap at the moment and bound to go up but playing the Tigs

Holman > Battle via DPP

I'm tossing up between Fritsch to Buddy or Wallis or hold the trade. Only 6 left and playing for leagues. Thoughts?

Need some advice guys. Not getting any replies in team advice thread.

Last upgrade is probably Fritsch > Buddy.
2 concerns.
1.) Worth holding off as Fritsch plays Saints and Buddy plays Tiges?

2.) Need a downgrade to fund this, only Dawson,Narkle and J.Smith look like targets. Who would have better JS?
If trading in Smith would have to trade Austin, leaving Ridley and Smith as def cover.
If trading in Dawson/Narkle one of Phillips or Garlett would go

Id probably go Garlett to Dawson, both as likely to play as each other.

I dont know Frisch breakeven but think Buddy's is 50 odd, so I'd back Buddy to  go 80 this week and go up in price regardless of opponent.

Problem with Garlett > Dawson is next to no cash left for injury trades.
Wondering if Austin > J.Smith would be better but worried about his JS with Ridley also on def bench.

Neale - coming off another 150+ game. Brisbane at home this week and lots of games in perth coming up.
I need to trade Treloar and considering: Neale, Danger, Kelly or Higgins. Strongly leaning towards Neale.
Not sold on Kelly just beating up 2 soft teams with GWS tough run coming up and his groin could flare up any moment.

Need some advice.
Was originally set to do Holman > Fyfe this week and finish off my team. However because of Holman's 45, I'm literally $900 short, so I can't do that.

Current midfield is:
Titch, Neale, Oliver, Danger, Gibbs, Dustin, Coniglio, Holman (Ahern, Giro, Dawson)

Option 1) Fritsch > Fyfe (via Ahern). Fritsch is my F7, so this would be fine to do. Leaves me with 70k.
Option 2) Holman > Kelly/Treloar. Leaves me with 50k, and Fritsch at F7.

With Austin dropped I need new plans.

I can either get Fyfe/Battle or Cripps/Jack Riewoldt.

I have Fritsch at F6, so Jroo would be F7, and I could use Tim Smith (F8) to loophole his score every week except Rnd 17, because Richmond always plays before Melbourne.

Which one?
Title: Re: Round 15 Trades
Post by: Urbaninfinnity on June 28, 2018, 07:57:59 PM
Thinking of downgrade either one of Austin/Spargo/Smith.

Leaning towards Spargo/Smith to Battle to get some more money so I can upgrade Guelfi next week.

Which one is better to downgrade? Smith is dropped, but lower BE and scores better than Spargo mostly, but Spargo nets me extra cash and I also have Giro and Ahern on the bench for cover.

Was happy with Buddy on 37 nearing 3QT.  Goals either side of the siren and wham he is on 70.  His low score was the only comfort I had with starting Heeney

Contemplating Garlett --> Powell

Need the cash to allow me to get a decent M9/F7 next week.

Should I go Powell? or Wilson/England/other cheap donut?

Next week I want to go T. Smith --> Mid/Fwd or Mid or Fwd prem and Duman --> 102k DEF.

Bench as it stands:

D: Witherden, Duman
M: Ahern, Giro, Garlett
R: Olango
F: T. Smith, Battle

Thoughts?

Was happy with Buddy on 37 nearing 3QT.  Goals either side of the siren and wham he is on 70.  His low score was the only comfort I had with starting Heeney

Depends on how many trades you have left. If you have spare trades and Buddy completes your team, then go for it. Buddy is predicted to go up $10k next week if he scores close to 100 and Fritsch has a BE of 96. Personally, I would save the trade for as long as I can. See how Fritsch goes this week and if you can hold out another week or two and their breakevens don't swing too far either way, then you will buy yourself some time to see what carnage unfolds.

ZGL or T.Smith to Laird (via Sicily)

Fritsch will be my F7

ZGL pockets me an extra $69K, but T.Smith will be my F8
T.Smith means I will keep ZGL at F8, who has more chance of playing every week than T.Smith

T.Smith can be used as loophole at F8 I guess, but it always feels better to have two players who are playing sitting on the bench

Depends on how u can use that 69 k.
How much other cash do u have?
If not much, it can be really handy should a premium who has lost value goes down (Dusty for e.g.) so u can get another good premo for one trade.
U already have Fritsch as F7 cover, so id be tempted by the cash and also use of loophole to gain extra points.

Thanks for the advice. I guess the cash will come in handy for a potential luxury trade of Savage to the best DEF or FWD (via Sicily) if there isn't too much carnage later down the track, plus the added advantage of the loophole.

Get rid of Hopeless Hibberd and don't look back. Ever.
Only person I'd be trading to in the ruck is Grundy (or Gawn if not owned)
Do u have Laird,Lloyd,Simmo,Sicily and Yeo?
Webster's cheap next week too.
