Carlton started strongly against Richmond before being over run whereas Suns had a slug fest in Cairns.
Suspect the Blues will win this by 25 points.
Bloos to win, Cornrow 3 votes
Carlton for the W.
Suns are going to get close to this one. Going the blues 6pts
Reckon GC might struggle after that slog last week. Carlton for me
Betting odds should be considerably tighter IMO.
Carlton were flattered by the margin last week. 36 scoring shots to 20 and 71 inside 50's to 47 is a smashing. Could easily been 10 goals+ for Richmond. All this talk about their improvement a bit premature. They got smashed last week after being 5 goals up in the first term.
Suns are not as bad as some think they are. They get Hall back this week to add some more run in the mids. They had 20 more inside 50's than North and 19 more clearances.
North Melbourne doing a number on St Kilda yesterday probably adds to my thoughts of a close Suns win.

good analysis ak.
I expect the Suns to be much more competitive than most think this season , I think Dew is the man to turn them around and this will be a very close game Blues by 2 points
How bad is the umpiring :-X
The weekly winner in all comps will have Tom Lynch. In SC is 132 and AF/DT 89 still with 3 mins left in the 2nd term.

The only thing that had me wary of picking the Suns was the conditions they played in last week.
Like St Kilda yesterday, Carlton getting a reality check as to where they are actually at!
Holman with 3 tackles in the first minute of the qtr!
Picking a team without a ruckman in it - not a great plan.

You'd think with the 4 emergencies teams can name now that they would always have a ruckman named in the 26 each week. What a difference Lobbe in the ruck could have made for the blues today.

They obviously knew Kreuz was doubtful so the fact they still didn't make Lobbe an E just shows how far back he is

The logical choice was to bring in McKay, listed as an emergency. Love seeing my boy Cam Polson get a run but had to bring in a tall today. Even so, well beaten today and wouldn't've won with Kreuz fit let alone McKay/Lobbe.
