Title: America's DT XVIII: Official Trades Thread 2017/2018 - Trade Period 2 Open
Post by: LF on August 11, 2017, 01:03:20 PM
2017/2018 Trading Rules

- There is a cap on trading, each team have a limit of 20 player movements over two trade periods

- National and Rookie draft picks can be traded but are counted as a movement

- On trading a player or pick to another team will no longer count as a movement

- Trades are no longer restricted to 1 -1 or 2-2 and so forth, you can now trade 2-3 or 1-2 and so forth as well

- Trade period 1 will start after the conclusion of the Ben Graham Medal count on Monday 28th August and conclude on Thursday 23rd November at Midnight AEST

- Teams will be able to trade players that are delisted on the AFL website in hope another team signs them.Be aware there is a risk with this and if you chose to trade in a player that has been delisted, then you wear the consiquences

- All trades will be ruled on by LF and Atto. Trades involving one of our own teams will see the coach involved excluded from the process in order to avoid a conflict of interest

- If coaches have a problem with a posted trade, you can pm LF and Atto to let them know of your concerns and the trade will be reviewed and may be either rejected or overturned if the complaint is seen to be justified

- Trade period 2 will start when the positions are named by AFL Fantasy/Virtual Sports for the up and coming season (trade period 2 will finish at the discretion of admin)

- Please leave any discussions on posted trades until the trade has been confirmed

- We aim to approved trades asap,we leave the trade up for a couple of days in case anyone has a problem with it before any approval or rejection is posted

assuming SR is ok with this still

Los Angeles Kings give Matthew Leuenberger
Springfield Isotopes give Callum Sinclair
Bermuda Tiger Sharks give Brayden Maynard

Los Angeles Kings get Callum Sinclair
Springfield Isotopes get Brayden Maynard
Bermuda Tiger Sharks get Matthew Leuenberger

a 3 way trade was needed to get this done 2 teams get backup rucks they want and one a solid defender

Hawaii Trade: Jack Steele

Bolivia Trade: Scott Lycett + Nathan Vardy

After losing the grand final, I blame my midfield. Steele will bolster up my poor utility spot.
Got Gawn and Spencer with Roughead still.
And Lycett + Vardy will suit in well with Nic Nat for when Mumford retires.

Ringo to confirm

El Paso give Brett Deledio + Pearce Hanley
Springfield give Charlie Dixon + James Stewart + NAT17

El Paso looks to younger players and the NAT17 pick will help in the rebuild. Dixon comes in handy with the retirement of Petrie.

Confirmed.

Huge risk by Springfield as we try to push to play finals in 2018. Lids has been very injury prone the last few years but will add to our fwd depth. Hanley has also had a very disappointing season but we are hopeful he bounces back as a defender in 2018. We didn't want to lose Dixon or Stewart but feel we have the depth in our fwd line to cover it. Nat 17 will ensure a very good youngster for Barra.

Springfield give: D. Mountford + nat 29
Dallas give: B. Keays + nat 39

Atto to confirm

Simple depth youth for depth youth position swap.
Keays will be a fwd only in 2018 and Mountford a mid with potential def DPP. Swap of nat picks to level out the slight difference in experience.

Guadalajara trade: Nat Fyfe + Reilly O'Brien
Calgary trade: Matthew Kreuzer + Josh Battle

Spent half the year without a ruck because of Sandi and no depth and that's arguably what cost us finals. I reckon I'll be able to get on without Fyfe in my mids.

RG to confirm.

Calgary give Gresham + NAT42 + RD18

Whitecross is down the order at El Paso and we continue our search to youth. The trade of picks allows us to get back into the 2nd round of the rookie draft.

Confirm. Moving up in the draft order while still believing Whitecross may get back to the Whitey prior to injuries. Gresham a pretty solid player with a bright future

Calgary trade Nat Fyfe
Birmuda trade Darcy Parish + NAT 34
Confirm. While Fyfe is a gun, still struggling to make a fantasy impact. Parish has a chance of being a forward and if not Watson is out of the bombers team bringing more mid time to Parish hopefully. The pick to even things up also

Sam Jacobs is a big loss to El Paso but we now have back up with Zac Smith and the 2nd round pick will come in handy also.

Who doesn't love a ruckman and one of the best at that. Losing a second round Nat pick hurts but to go with Goldy, Daw, Tippett and ROB my rucks look set haha

Roswell give: Patrick Dangerfield + George Horlin-Smith
Bolivia give: Shane Biggs + Dom Tyson + Jordan Roughead

Danger did his job for us and helped get the flag,we wanted to fix our defence a bit and Biggs is good enough to fill that hole,Tyson replaces Danger in the mids and Roughead gives us a playing backup ruck because our others have now retired, leaving us with English who is still developing
Pk wants Danger to help him in his pursuit of a flag and added GHS because he wanted a player from the same team as backup

Pk to confirm

In need of that genuine Captain choice, Ablett wasn't reliable enough, and Docherty lost me the granny with his score. Sad to see Tyson and Biggs go, massive ceiling scorers. LF taking Roughy gives her an extra Doggies ruck, and GHS was just the type of player to even it up.

Confirmed.

Hawaii Give: Trent Cotchin + Ã'8

For

Bolivia Give: Adam Treloar

Sad to see Treloar go.... Served me so well as Captain over the last 2 years. But I got a much more capable captain option.
And this gives Hawaii a better option for Captain.

Confirmd Treloar is 3 years younger than Cotch and need to build future C resources.  Pick added to make up for age difference and the 15ppg average between Cotch and Treloar.

Hawaii Give - Tom Scully + N33
Arizona Give Jarryd Roughead + N23

Strengthens my forward line as we push for the flag. Scully averaged 81.6 and Roughead 84.2.  Exchange of picks is to cover the fact that Roughy has only 2/3 years left. Roughy averaged 104.2 over the last 5 games and with a full pre-season hoping he can continue these latest efforts,  Taking a risk though that cancer does not return.

Nas to confirm

Really sorry to see Roughy go as made a huge comeback & helped the Scorpions to the finals. Adding Scully helps strengthen the mids. AS said re the exchange of ND picks for balance.

Roswell gives: Shaun Burgoyne + Cyril Rioli + Nat 12
Hawaii gives: Nat 1

Rioli was injured most of the year and we feel with the development of some of our other forwards we no longer need him
Burgoyne has been a great player for us,but again not a required player moving forward and has a year contract extension so suits Hawaii's push for the flag next year.
Nat 1 will hopefully net Roswell a future star

Forwards and defence needed strengthening if Hawaii were to be a serious contender and recent trades have done that.  Trade Confirmed as both Burgoyne and Rioli will be solid D4 and F4 options.

Not forgotten Atto has been waiting for my opinion on it but I've been busy lately so have given it today and now waiting to hear back about it

The other trades Atto had already green lighted before so that's why those have been passed and this one hasn't

On that all the movements and draft orders are up to date except for this trade, anyone noticed a mistake at all let me know

Guadalajara trades: Jacob Townsend

So after Lobbe moved to Carlton today, and the fact that I acquired Kreuz earlier in this trade period, having his back up just makes sense. I love Towner to bits - after all, he's the JJ Liston medallist for 2017 and the Coleman medallist for 2018, but from a list management perspective, I need the back up ruck more than I need Towner. Pick balances it out and should come in handy.

Confirmed.

Confirm the above trade.

Need forward line players especially with Cloke retiring (not that he did anything). The pick back evens up the trade and lets me get a nice prospect.

Confirmed.

This trade should only cost Atto and us 1 movement each as we are on trading picks in it. Springfield wants to play finals in 2018 so needs more depth across most lines. Hill does that for us. Swap of picks to level the trade out.

Trade period 2 is now open
Will keep it open for awhile but will give notice when it will officially close
No trades from the period between 22nd December  to the 8th January will be processed due to work,Christmas,New Years and holidays

Trade period 2 requires all trades to be 1 for,2 for 2 etc
You can still on trade and those movements don't count towards your total
Movements left should all be up to date you cannot over the movement limit.

Calgary Give: Matt Suckling + Oliver Florent
Springfield Give: Brayden Fiorini + Brady Grey

Got some absolute gun defenders so happy to let one go if I can get a starting mid. Fiorini has shown a fantasy game in the past and hopefully being best 22 now he can fly. Florent seems a long way away from being a gun at AFL Level so happy to shuffle across and go to someone more developed

Rids to confirm

Confirmed. We had a couple miss out on Defender status. Didn't want to lose Fiorini as we think he has potential to be an absolute gun in fantasy but we have much more depth in the mids so it worked for team balance. Florent for Grey to help out position wise for both teams.
