Doggies to get the W.
Not sure which way to go here. The Cats are gonna turn it on eventually, and against a top team like the Dogs I'd say they're every chance. Dogs haven't been at their best but are starting to get a few guys back, with Redpath last week, possibly Roughy this week. Assume they'll get Bob back as well, and I'd imagine Wallis is a chance to return too. Scooter and Hendo already confirmed to return for the Cats, and it's in Geelong...Cats by under 10 points.
Guthrie out (ill) and Murdoch in.
If you don't tag Selwood or Danger, you don't deserve to win.
That was great work by cocky
Geelong have had first hands on the ball at each centre bounce and fumbled it every time ::)
Classic Parsons ::)
Danger taking the piss with that goal.
Geez, overlooking Danger for the VC hasn't started very well :o

Nah wouldn't mind a shower one from him :P
Took the C off Danger so of course he goes for 57 in the first flowering quarter ::)
VC on Danger since Sunday night, changed to Jelwood today :-\
Not good signs for Geelong. Bulldogs generally slow starters, Geelong's pressure was up, yet the Dogs lead. Cats still getting burnt easy on the slingshot.

bad week to bring in Spudtembelli ::)
I'm calling match fixing, Smith dominating the ruck contests yet the Dogs give Danger 2m of space out the back of a ball up!

Harry Taylor kicking goals, Bews looking like a decent footballer. Something's not right ???
Dangers stats at 1/2 time are nuts
Feel sick not having the VC on him

Yep. Same here. Torture isn't it.
23 disposals, 9 tackles, 3 goals. That gets you 3 brownlow votes if it was a whole game let alone a half.

Reminds me of the game last year where he got 220 odd. Had the C on Jelwood who got 140 which is great, but not when you lose 80 points
I have the VC on Danger. Also have Duncan in DT/AF so hopefully he keeps going. I'll love him long time.
300 pls Danger <3
Dogs look right off it, praying they come back and make a game of it!
As a Danger owner, I'm hoping he gets a hard tag and minimal impact now lol
Are they seriously playing Cloke in the ruck? :P
Looks like Paddy enjoyed mums T-bone steak last night and the Wheat-Bix she spoon fed him this morning
On the left, only Eddy on Dream-Time week can beat Paddy's goal!
Chris Scott looks amped in the box. Waiting for a bad umpiring decision against the Cats to see him go right off ;D

Did you lend him some of your saltiness to put on his T-bone?
That Menegola dropped mark has let the Dogs back in it.
Come back is on.
Well, looks like Geelong only had a half in them.
Scoring end.
Well done Mitch Wallis
Thank you Trav ;D

Agree RD Cracker of a game to watch as a neutral. Weird though they reckon no wind but majority of scoring to one end.

15-20 minutes into the post game on Fox and they still haven't mentioned him ::)
To be fair, he did butcher the pill with some costly turnovers. I reckon he had 2 or 3 in the third which lead to Dogs goals.
If Geelong can find some consistency week to week they will be a legitimate contender. Obviously they won't get 130 tackles every week but the attitude needs to remain.
Does anyone have a rule book?
That Hawkins tackle on Murphy, Murphy hits the ball on his shin... that's not a legal kick is it??
Did I hear the channel 7 commentary call that incorrect call by the umpire?
Other thing that bugged me... is since when was it ok to 'shepherd' the man on the mark??
Thought I saw Dogs players do that on at least 2 occasions??
To be honest I think the umpire was just a bit quick on the whistle, a chase down over about 20 odd meters usually is holding the ball every time due to the copious amount of prior opportunity. Bit of bad luck for murph as I thought he did get it with his boot but did have an awful long time to get rid of the call and did get run down
I think it was just a mistake, my first call was knee, on the replay it just missed it before hitting the shin so the ump probably just got it wrong

Hawthorn and Collingwood have been doing it for years. I thought there was a 5 meter protected area around the man on the mark.

Knee and above is not a legal kick. Below the knee is legal.

So just too much prior opportunity then??
With the kick or non-kick as it may be was irrelevant?

I think that's what the umpiring department will come out and say next week once the media gets a hold of it and questions the decision

Watched it a couple of times and think there are two possible decisions here:
1) Murphy caught fair and square and umpire seen him drop the ball. HTB aver day of the week
2) as above but when the ball was dropped he attempted to kick and collected with shin play on.
Can understand both and umpires had a split second to make decision.

How does Matchday work?
It's one of the tabs on your AF fantasy home page. You pick 7 players from each game, a C and a VC and if you hit 1010pts total then you win $1000. It's pretty damn hard to make that 1010 even after the fact with 2 x def, 2 x mids, 1 x ruck and 2 x forw. I was 10 pts short on the Swans vs Lions game a few weeks back, but it was impossible to reach that 1010 anyway.
No salary cap I assume?

How did you go in the Hawks game? I finished on 997. Howe over Hodge and I had it.
