Right.
Port Adelaide and Gold Coast players! They have a pesky bye.
The score that will count this round, is the score they will get in AFL Round 11 (two weeks from now).
If you name a Port Adelaide or Gold Coast player, and they DON'T play, then players from the other 16 teams will 'move up' in your starting XV without penalty.
For example,
Berlin
.
.
F: Lance Franklin, Charlie Dixon, Mark LeCras, Jay Kennedy-Harris
U: Jobe Watson, Jack Trengove
E: Shaun Burgoyne, Michael Walters, Joel Smith
If Dixon doesn't play, LeCras will move to F2, JKH will move to F3, Walters will move to F4, Smith will move to E2, and according to my list preferences, the next player on my list that has played is Dylan Grimes, so he will move to E3.
If you rest a Port or Gold Coast player, you will receive their rested bonus in WXV Round 10. Yes, this means that their resting bonus might have to be retroactively removed, if the Port or Gold Coast player doesn't play in AFL Round 11.
Please ask me questions if you don't quite understand, or see any potential grey areas you'd like resolved.
Now, back to something familiar...
Round 9, AFL Round 9 + AFL Round 11 Scores from Port Adelaide + Gold Coast
Home Team | Away Team | Venue | Head-to-Head (Seniors) |
Port Morseby Iguanadons | Durban Pirates | BSP Stadium, AAP Alliance, Africonia | 2 v 3 |
Copacabana Capuchins | Mexico City Suns | Maracana Stadium, AAP Alliance, Americas | 1 v 2 |
Washington Rebellion | La Plata Armada | MetLife Stadium, AAP Alliance, Americas | 2 v 3 |
Marseille Kings | Wellington Weta | Stade du Ray | 2 v 1 |
Belfast Braves | Windsor Warriors | Crooke Park | 4 v 1 |
Siberian Wolverines | Yuzawa Yakuza | Luzhniki Stadium, EurAsia | 4 v 1 |
Shanghai Storm | Rhineland Rum-Runners | Beijing Olympic Park, EurAsia | 2 v 3 |
Alexandria Hieroglyphics | Imperial Princes | Borg El Arab Stadium | 2 v 3 |
Pyongyang Chollimas | Mumbai Elephants | Seoul World Cup Stadium, EurAsia, Asia | 1 v 4 |
Oh hail our latest king, long may they rain. The Iguanadons have been outstanding this year and have totally dispatched their opponents on a regular basis, bar that Round 3 clash against Mumbai. Port Morseby sit 2nd on the points ladder and when the likes of Sam Gibson, Matthew Leuenberger and Lee Spurr are leading 7 other hungry Iguanadons just last week, it's easy to see why. The Pirates are having a year to forget; sitting 15th on the points ladder and one worse in the real one. How can a team that tonned up in Round 2 (and lost) score just 6 in Round 7? Their opponents in both that game and last week showed no mercy; Jake Carlisle & Tom Papley could almost be seen crying after facing 7 Rum-Runners by themselves. Durban might be getting a little more help this week at least, but I can't justify tipping against the Iguanadons.
I reckon last year still hurts for the Capuchins; a dominant constant of the fixture, only to fall at the last September hurdle against Wellington. Copacabana played a key role in that inspiring Rio run to glory and not enough credit is given to the team that kept premiership players Danyle Pearce, Brendan Whitecross and Andrew Mackie honest. This year however, they sit just outside the eight, after last week losing tough in a 4 (WXV) point loss to Shanghai making finals just that little bit harder. They'll look to respond against the Suns this week though whom are nothing but easy beats. No respect is given to this team as they sit 2nd last in both the real and points ladder, and REFUSE to change their name to be different to the seniors and spread the wealth over at Mexico. Melican must have been spittin that Newman got a late call up; condemning him to face Durban with only Baguley backing him up. You're a different kettle of fish in this comp Mexico City, and I hope this week to make you, and you're buddy Dublin, to feel bad about it. Capuchins will massacre them.
The Rebellion is sticking close to the Revolution, in that they also sit in top 4 (2nd) and demand to be a force to be respected. Washington opened the year with an impressive 5 tons to net 5 wins, but the last 3 weeks have fallen in the 70-90 range and slipped up against the number one team, Port Morseby in the process. Reserves gun Sam Reid was at it again last week; his 3rd ton in 3 games; and Washington officials are thrilled that he continues to get games. You'd like to think the Armada are pretty good at this comp given the Dillos field the pretty ordinary players on the list in the seniors. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Sitting 16th in the points ladder, La Plata have only netted wins against Pyongyang in Round 2, but rallied hard to win against Alexandria last week with a great 99! That would have beaten Washington in the past 3 weeks, so look out! The Rebellion, though, easy.
Marseille are kinda like PNL in a way, well, at least up until Round 6 this year; terrible, but more so. The winless 'Kings' are anything but, sitting last in both the real and points ladder. The tall trio of Patton, Schache and Casboult fronted up with Crozier last week against Washington, and it wasn't pretty. To make matters worse, one of them will probably get the call up for Rioli for the Reindeers, which makes the match-up against Wellington this week hard to look at. The reigning premiers actually haven't been TOO great this year; sitting 10th, but 6th in the points ladder, but hey, I guess they get to go home to a loving trophy in the former Warriors headquarters. The Weta had a special treat last week with Sam Mitchell resting and leading the way in their DEMOLITION of Mumbai last week, a treat that's probably not going to happen again. It's not like he's required this week anyway. A Weta win.
The Braves remain the perennial cellar dwellers of the competition and continue to be a blight of this fine competition. Although it should be said that the players here and paid much less than other clubs, given the greediness and disrespect shown by those at Dublin. But, they did flog Mexico City last week... if only the same could be said about the seniors. All 7 Braves were reasonably young though, so I guess it's not all bad. Windsor have been similarly struggling this year; sitting 14th in both the real and points ladder. They only narrowly lost to Pyongyang last week; a win which would have been nice to square the ledger. I'm not sure if Windsor will make finals this year, or that the seniors would normally have a chance against those of the Braves, but here is where they can put Ireland to shame (and just quietly, the seniors too).
Russia unite! What a performance by Siberia last week to compliment Moscow’s second consecutive win. Siberia are form team of the competition with an incredible average of 161 over the past 3 weeks. Twelve furious Wolverines dismantled the well respected Princes in what was clearly game of the round; enough to do Hugh Jackman proud. Their well intimated opponents this week in the Yakuza haven’t topped the ton yet this year and have been slowly declining since Round 5... just like the morale in the seniors. Still, sitting 3-5 and the 12th highest scoring team of the comp means they aren’t an opponent to get complacent against. They’ll need more help for McInnes if they are any hope of winning, otherwise the Wolverines might just quadruple their score this week.
Fourth takes on fifth, Shanghai hosts Rhineland and China needs a distraction from its capital in what I dub my RESERVES MATCH OF THE ROUND! The Storm has lit up the competition in the past month with FOUR consecutive tons to net 4 wins against quality opposition. Lambert (86) and O’Brien (80) have maintained excellent form during this time, who were joined by 7 other Stormies in their amazing win over the Capuchins (4 WXV Reserve points). The Rum-Runners know how this comp works; we are both familiar with cold drafts of the cellar and the dizzying heights of a preliminary final. So it’s only natural that we know how to time our... run... during the season, evidenced by sitting 5th despite scoring the 9th most amount of points. A performance like last week would have just overcome the Storm (despite two less players), which promises for a juicy match-up that may decide top placings in the pointy end of the season. I’ll back my Rum-Runners, only coz I love saying their name.
When I think of this competition, I’m often reminded of the fierceness of Alexandria back in 2013, and how they failed to go on with it in the finals series. They haven’t quite been the same since, evident by their 12th placing from 10th in the points ladder. Not one Hieroglyphic scored more than 50 last week in their loss against La Plata, so just as well the seniors got up. This lot will be expected to suit up again and drastically improve when they take on the Princes whom have always been a respectable force in this competition. This year is no exception, sitting in the top 4 of both the real and points’ ladder. Flaunting 2 centurions in Towers and Hartung amongst 10 players last week, the Princes might get raided by London this week who are struggling in the seniors. Even then, I think the Princes got this one covered.
Pyongyang will welcome at least one Magpie this week with the return of Toby Greene likely to send Myers or Weller to a team that could do with their help. Sitting 7th from 8th in the points ladder, the Chollimas are in a nice position to make the finals and have already displayed their scoring power from 4 consecutive tons in Rounds 3-6. Two sub 60 scores in the past two weeks is not the form they want to have entering into this match, facing the might of Mumbai. The Elephants mirror the Tigers as the number 1 scoring team of the comp and, really, there isn’t a better position India could be. The opposite is true for their financial position, though, with the salary cap sure to hit hard come the end of the year. But that’s future Ricophants problem. Right now, Mumbai need to address at how they’ve managed to fall down to 6th in the ladder. They’ve lost 3 of the past 4 matches where their opponent has scored 146, 180 and 153. Damn haha, that’s unlucky. I’m not willing to bet that will happen again this week, so I’ll back MUMBAI!
Everything about this is terrible.
Damn it Purps, it's Adelaide not Adeliade.

Since when is 4-4 Cellar dwellers?
I guess the Demons are Cellar Dwellers this year then.
Belfast will look alot better if Treloar and Hill are back.
L.Plowman, Ed-Vicker Willis, M.O'Connor
K.Murtimer
T.Menzel, H.Greenwood, S.Durdin, J.Parsons
actually looks ok.

Hehe, I was also referring to your past, so yes, I would totally classify the Dees as cellar dwellers. When we finish in the eight, that's when we remove the tag IMO.
Also wanted to get stuck into the teams that are traditionally awesome in the seniors :P

Its not greedy dublin that makes belfast bad its a flawed cap system :P
just getting that dig in early this year.
Depending on whose named Thursday night, a possible Port Morseby team could look like this..
L Spurr, A Tomlinson, A Allir, C Hampton, J Kolodjashnij, B Williams
A Swallow, S Gibson, L Duggan
M Leuenberger
A Fasolo, B Howlett, C Ah Chee, M de Boer, J Murdoch
This is your time to shine meow.
BEIJING THUNDER
D: J.Hunt, S.Mayes, S.Wellingham, H.Taylor
M: L.Neale (C), D.Zorko (VC), C.Ward, O.Wines
R: B.Grundy
F: J.Caddy, C.Petracca, B.Hill, K.Lambert
IC: B.Ellis, J.Polec
Emg: D.Howe (d/m), J.Aish (m), T.O'Brien (f)
SHANGHAI STORM
D: J.Thurlow, T.Jonas, T.Clurey, L.Brown
M: D.Howe, J.Aish, T.Williamson
F: T.O'Brien, A.Black
Pending selection: (K.Stewart (f), B.Lennon (f))
Dempster, McVeigh, Griffen, Lever (maybe), Mzungu, Roughead (maybe), Petrie all out injured with McKenzie, ANB, Langford and probably Corey Ellis not being selected means our depth is pie. We're not at Moscow level injuries but we've been hit quite hard. Reigning (not raining) premiers won't look supreme but we'll sweep away our opponents with ease this week.
Prove you're a better coach than me by naming my team in addition to your own this week!
I struggle with M4, U1 and U2
Mitchell, Gibbs and Blakely locked in the mids for me. Wells, Masten, Fiorini or SPS for the remaining 2-3 spots?
I'm thinking Waite, Steele, Higgo locked in the forwards. WHE, Lester, McLean, Smith, Boyd or Lord Stewart for the F4? Jed won't be considered. Do I pick one of these guys for U2?? Surely Lester doesn't get ignored again, does he?
Sandi lock. What if Roughy plays, is he a U2 option? Vardy maybe?
Bob, Joey locks. Silvagni's form too good to ignore but he'll spud if I pick him, I know it. Lever, Andrews or Wilson? Conor McKenna maybe? Nah.
And who to captain out of Mitchell, Gibbs, Sandi, Higgo? ANB unlikely to get a call up so cannot be considered.
Christchurch Saints
D: Montagna, Bob, Silvagni, Wilson
M: Gibbs (VC) Mitch (C), Blakely, Wells
R: Sandi
F: Waite, Steele, Higgins, WHE
I: Masten, SPS

Bah, confused with this bye nonsense! Yeah he's in play, but not in my Church 15 8)
While you're all at it, why don't you have a look at Moscow's line up this week too. :P
Surprised you named Waite RD. One last time that he can spud for you.
How hard can it be meow? Here are your 15 highest averaging players, which will therefore clearly net your highest score:
Attack
D: Leigh Montagna, Alex Silvagni, Robert Murphy
M: Bryce Gibbs (C), Sam Mitchell, Chris Masten, Daniel Wells
R: Aaron Sandilands (VC),
F: Jarrad Waite, Shaun Higgins, James Stewart, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Ryan Lester
U: Jack Steele, ANB (I reckon he's a sneaky chance to play)
E: Connor Blakely, SPS, Toby McLean
Scott Selwood was traded in on the 14th of November 2015. Tomorrow night will be his first game for Toronto.
Kate Upton Cobras
DEF: Jasper Pittard, Callum Mills, Luke McDonald, Lachie Hansen
MID: Josh P Kennedy (C), Lachie Hunter (VC), Dion Prestia, Mark Blicavs
RUCK: Toby Nankervis
FWD: Blake Acres, Tom Papley, Taylor Garner, Ben Ainsworth
UTIL: Touk Miller, Cameron Sutcliffe
EMG: Dean Kent, Kayne Turner, Jake Carlisle
The Kent that is Dean gets dropped, Dion should be back. Ainsworth gets a run as he should be over his injury now and good to go. Garner hopefully back for Norf this week. Blicavs might be dropped tbh, and even if he isn't, could end up getting a rest this week, pending team announcements later today.
If I wanted to name Touk as VC, would he need to stay in my leadership group when we have the option to change them because his score from R11 will count or can I take him out and still have him VC this week? Also if I wanted to make Pittard VC for example, what's the dealio there? I'd assume you'd look at our leadership group for this week, but just wanted to confirm :P
Also, am I allowed to nominate someone like 2MP as my next in line emergency if guys like Touk or Ainsworth don't play? E.g. if Ainsworth didn't get named, Touk goes to forwards, Kent comes in as utility, Turner E1, Carlisle E2, 2MP E3? Or will it only go off of our preference lists? (although I think I still get 2MP in that case haha)

I knew you would ask this question :P
Your current Leadership group applies to WXV Round 9.
Your leadership group heading into Round 10 applies to WXV Round 10 onwards.
Given the Round 11 GCS/PORT players play in WXV Round 9, they won't apply to your revised Leadership group for the rest of the year (unless they are in both versions of your LG). So, even if you name Pittard in your revised Leadership group in Round 10, he can't be VC in this round. Whereas if you drop Miller in your revised LG for Round 10, he can still be a C or VC in WXV Round 9.

Ugh. My head hurts :P
First of all, who is 2MP?
Utilities always replace a guy in the starting 13, if they are eligible, in preference to your emergencies. The scenario you outlined first is correct. I only look at your list preferences to name a new E3, not a new starting player.

Unless however, say, your D4 is a GCS/PORT player that didn't play, and you didn't have another defender named in your 18. Then, I would look at your list preferences to find a defender, and name him instead.
If there isn't one, then OOP priorities apply

2MP is Peter Wright ya pistachio
I meant like, are we allowed to nominate a backup emergency so to speak, to be added to the end of our original emergencies if one of our Suns/Port players don't play, or is it just locked in with list preferences. So can I say that my "E4" is Peter Wright, or maybe like Jack Bowes (whoever, doesnt really matter), and then if say Ainsworth is out, that nominated emergency will go to E3 instead of whoever is first on my preference list. I assume we can't do this, but figured I'd ask :)
As I mentioned before, Wright is next on my pref. list anyway, so doesn't really matter to me, but maybe for others, iunno.
Oh I see.
Hmm. I can see why people might want that, given how much preferences change in 2-3 months. But, given that most players aren't that great outside of a teams most preferred 18, I'll stick with my first reaction of no, no back-up emergencies in this case.

not true
if he has been getting 40 hitouts and 30% HTA thats 60 points from HTA
if he drops HTA to 25% but gets 65 hit outs then thats 80 points from HTA
North lost the clearances last week anyway.

HTA are only worth 5 in the Attacking and Defence 50s. They're worth lese between the archs
Hitouts sharked are -1 as well, so need to take that into account Holz
HOTAs are rarely worth 5 m8. Oliver will pounce on most of the hitouts so Goldy will probably be in the negative from the taps.

do you reckon they get like 2-3 for HTA at square etc..
I always thought 0 for a HO was silly, at least get 0.5 or something and make it -1.5 for a shark.
If you win the HO you still help your team by not letting the other guy win.

On the HS site they show all the actual scores. The SC website says 4 for a kick but in reality it's 3.
Effective kick = 3
Long kick 40m+ to nothing or to a contest is deemed effective = 2
Kick long to adv = 5
Ineffective kick = 0
Clanger kick = -3
Backwards effective = 1
Effective kick in = 1
Contested possession (loose and hard ball gets are contested) = 3 (4 inside arcs)
Uncontested possession (handball receive, mark, gather) = 1 (2 inside F50)
Intercept uncontested mark = 4 (5 in D50)
Intercept contested mark = 6 (8 in D50)
Uncontested mark (from teammate) = 1 (2 for mark from kick-in)
Contested mark (from teammate) = 3 (5 in F50)
Mark on lead = 3 (CD rarely award these, only NRoo gets them)
Effective handball = 1
Ineffective handball = 0
HOTA (within arcs) = 5
HOTA = 4, usually one of the first things scaled down so usually 3
Free kick (counts as contested possession) = 3
Free kick against = -3 if in contested situation, -5 if clanger
Clangers = -5
Kick or handball to oppo under no pressure, 50m penalty, stupid free kick against, OOF under no pressure
Goal = depends how many are scored in the match, and if the match is in the balance. Usually 7-8 but would drop to 6 if the margin is already 30 points at the time. A goal at the 30 min mark of the final quarter when the margin is 100 would be worth 4 + 3 for the effective kick.
Running bounce = 1
Contested knock on = 3
1%ers
Smother = 1
Shepherd = 1
Spoil = 1
Spoil to teammate = 3
Tackle = 3 (4 within arcs)
Score assist = 3
John Doe had 15 kicks, 10 handballs, 10 marks, 5 tackles. 115 DT Looks like a decent game.
John Doe played back pocket and took all his marks uncontested in chip around crap (10 points not 30), five of his kicks were clangers (-25 points), 10 were effective (30 points), 5 of his handballs were contested inside 50 and all 10 hit the mark (20 + 5 + 10) and all of his tackles were inside 50 (20). 5 of Johns kicks were from handball recieves (5 points).
John is a clanger machine who doesn't win his own ball. A seagull. He probably cost his team 3 goals, and may have saved a couple with his tackling. John still had a bad day and only scored 65 SC points. To make matters worse, there were 3666 raw points scored in this match so John will be scaled. Those chip around kicks in the backline were almost useless so they go from 3 each to 2 each. John scored just 55 real SC points. John is a spud.

Kinda shows that Gawn actually isnt that great and its the midfield that is great. If they can get the ball from a HO from the opponent ruck then they can get the ball from a bad HO from Gawn as well making it a HTA.

A fair argument. I think Gawn just makes it easier for our mids, and only marginally improves our clearance rate.
It's the big marking that makes him a star, and is HOTA ratio which is elite.

Would love to get these 100% spot on
I've gotten mine from HS articles, fantasy freako and champ data on twitter, etc.
Isn't it on the rules on the SC website under "Scoring"?

WELLINGTON WETA
Not the best week at the selection table this one. Jed Anderson, Corey Ellis and Toby Mac unavailable and someone will have to be demoted to Church to replace McVeigh. Roughead and ANB didn't get the call up. It's not all bad news though, Lever is back along with Waite and Bob.
B: Daniel McKenzie, Harris Andrews (E2), Jake Lever, Conor McKenna
M: Brayden Fiorini (E1)
R: Nathan Vardy
F: Will Hoskin-Elliott, Thomas Boyd (E3), Lord James Stewart, Clay Smith
10 in this week, I hope to get at least a full XV at some point later in the year. Cumming is coming, ANB is around the mark, as are Toby Mac, Petrie, Corey Ellis, Jed Anderson, Kyle Langford. Griff, McVeigh and Roughead are AFL players.
Higgo captain, Gibbs vice.

The whole forward line and utility line former Dubliners
@Moscow, no VC named. On LG preferences, your VC is now Docherty.
@Dublin, no VC named. On LG preferences, your VC is now Treloar.
@Buenos Aires, no E1 or E2 named. Looks like you hate naming Josh Wagner, so I'll name him E2 based off your preferences, and Michael Hartley at E3.
@Christchurch, thanks for making it as hard as possible for me to work out your team :P You'll have to correct me if I'm wrong, but based off your reserves team (the only team you actually named), there is only 13 other players named to play in the AFL. These guys make up your starting 13. You've mentioned your E1, E2 and E3. They are now your U2, E1 and F4 respectively. On list preferences, your new E2 and E3 are Lever and WHE respectively. Again, correct me if I've missed something.
Mitch Wallis goes alright ey :)
Half-way through the third quarter, Taylor has scored 20 more points than his season average.
I thought he was supposed to be on a sabbatical Toges?!
In other related news, DO SOMETHING MENZEL!!!!!!!!!!

Ah I forgot to put your leaders on the field, all good!
Scooter flowering robbed. But a good debut nonetheless.
Big Boyd with his second ton in three weeks. A 50 in between, and the fact that he scored 3 six weeks ago makes it difficult to pick him.

Some interesting starts so far...
Seoul Dangerfield puts New Delhi on the back foot early!
Taylor outscores Berlin's two players by himself for Beijing
Toronto start off well against a nervous Dublin...

Well, I did have all night to think about it ::)
NDT scorecard makes my head hurt.
Hunter you absolute mango
Didn't know Gilbert was playing second ruck
Might need to get a call up next week!
Why is everyone on my list so bad?
I see Sam B Reid wants to continue to get tons for the Rebellion :P
Hanners responding to being restored to Captaincy this week.
Guthrie was a late out, does that mean that the 'resting' doesn't count?

Yep
Just confirming that McGrath moves to the mids and Jeffy joins the interchange after Newnes didn't come back on?

Can't help but notice Beijing's Caddy, and would-be replacement O'Brien are late outs :-X damn, I needed something to turn too.
Really Mitchell? Just 49 touches, I guess that'll have to do..

Oh, well then he holds his spot in the XV. 49 and he may of had to be dropped.

Interesting! Cape Town are keeping up with the Islanders, whom weren't doing all that flash until TMitch came in. HGA might just undo the Cobras, and I'll back the Islanders from here.
The issues at Mexico City have resurfaced again :-\ still early days for Rio, but they just need to do the basics right to win from here. Jags for me.
OOOOOOO! The Dillos are up by 3 points all else being equal! An OOP ruck and HGA against however, should actually work FOR New York this time around, otherwise you'd be tempted to back the Dillos.
An uninspiring start in this game, except perhaps Wilson getting his top score of the year? Someone confirm? Close nevertheless! I think I'll back the Saints in, because I think Higgins is going to tear the Dees apart.
Well, Holz did say it was going to happen. Fancy fielding Greenwood for his AFL debut and him tonning up? Toronto will beat most teams this week, but not the Destroyers.
Interesting game, where a Heppell 130+ score might win this for Moscow! Tokyo have been steady, but still struggle for leadership. I think they might just get the W.
Well, flower.
Another tight tussle here, but the Sands would have the slight advantage. Superb leadership from Hanners has kept the Royals in it, but the Sands have more performers. Cairo for me.
This game is lit! Too close to call, but New Delhi's 6 centurions have caught up with Danger & Kelly to get the game on level pegging terms. But... there is two parts to OliveField. Come on Seoul!

Uninspiring? We're averaging 93 points per player and have had just one mid play. If we keep this up we'll score 149 on the road. I'm inspired by our performance so far. Andrews with 90 probably means Silvagni is even more likely to spud though.
Looks like Jeffy decided to have a rest anyway...
Waite got us one win, now he's got us one loss.

Just confirming that McGrath moves to the mids and Jeffy joins the interchange after Newnes didn't come back on?
Yes, Jeffrey will be tonning up for you in place of Newnes
Didn't even get half of that, this is your fault.

Goldy to bounce back against Pedo?
Huge call Holz :P If he doesn't get 140+ its a fail by a ruck of his quality
Fail

Is 3 points the lowest HGA bonus ever?
Edit: Never mind, Tabs has had a burst in the last few minutes. Up to 13 points now, what a beast...

Would have been plenty lower before the sub rule ;)
After Sunday:
HGAs are not applied yet.

Cape Town has kept it interesting! But Pacific have the advantage. Not impossible for the Cobras, but Islanders likely.
Rio choke? The Suns will score no more than 1300 at best, and Rio aren't guaranteed to pass 1200 really. Maybe Rio have just done enough, and I'll tip them by winning on HGA
New York will end up on about 145 with HGA; a feat that Buenos Aires probably won't achieve this year. Still, they're on track for a respectable/competitive score.
Christchurch are done at 1369 meaning that, assuming a HGA of 53, Ryder, Wingard and Harbrow have to get 321 points between them! A challenge, but not impossible. Saints will hold on I reckon.
Oscar & Hill have spoiled the party somewhat, but the Destroyers should take out the score of the week. Toronto should actually crack 140 this week, so it's a shame for them they've come up against a resurgent Dublin.
Well! What difference an afternoon makes. The Spetsnaz look likely to win 3 in a row!!!!
My Sunday enforcements certainly did try, but the damage I fear is done. God damn Lachie Neale has pulled out an inspiring performance for Beijing which might just prove the difference in the end. Given Beijing will cop an OOP score though, another dreadful performance from either Polec or Wines and a good one from Dixon... then there might be hope for Berlin. But the odds are with the Thunder.
Jeffy and McLovin tried their best, but Cairo simply have too many points on the board to lose from here. London should chalk up a semi-respectable score though.
Myers, Salem and Marchbank have ruined an otherwise thrilling match of the round, where New Delhi should go on to beat Seoul's 140+ score. Just too many centurions for OliveField to handle.

Back in the 150 club
Weits finally played +1 on defence. Was 50/50 on omac and weits.
Could have pushed for 170
Should have captained Boyd again this week.
Not convinced on our game just yet Purps, Polec has been decent of late but prone to a shocker here and there. Knowing our luck ::)
Think I need to reverse my use of Hartung and Langford. Seem to score big when I drop/rest and score crap when I play. See if reverse works this week when I play Hartuing and rest Langford. :D
Brad Crouch has taken out Matt back to back weeks.
makes it 2-3

By 1 point both weeks. Might as well call them a draw ::)
Just realised with HGA + the OOP player (likely to be Howe's 76) then were gonna be what 40 SC points behind going into the Port Adelaide game. So Wines + Polec v Dixon + 44.
Come on boys surely :'(

I've been thinking about this possibility recently...
What if, Polec doesn't play, and then the next person on your list preferences is a forward? I think that'd mean you no longer have an OOP player :-X

I count a 26 point lead :-X
Dixon has averaged 125 in his last 3 weeks, so I'll need another big performance from him.
Oh and nvm, Luke Brown I think is the next in line, so you will cop an OOP
its Hanley + Ahchee v Westhoff + 237
feeling pretty confident.
really should have rested weits.

I don't think we even have any other forwards playing this week haha :'( Jenkins, Butler, Caddy, O'Brien all out at the wrong time. Might be wrong though.
Well Lukey hit a 96 on Saturday so would almost be a better result if he came on at OOP points :P Dixon has the potential to go big though and Ollie has been average the last couple of weeks. Could really go either way still! :-X
Hey Purps,

Right so
Seoul: HGA(46) + Lynch + Matera
NDT: 52 + Gray + JMartin + HH
With the way the remaining three are going (looking mainly at you Hamish!), they could quite easily throw up 3 shockers and make it closer than what it should
Rich's 118 at E2 would have been handy!
DIXON! GO ON SON!
Scores level between Beijing & me, HGA and all at 3QT
It's Dixon v Polec & Wines. I'm not sure the great man can keep going at this pace :-\
COME ON CHARLIE!
26 points scored by Polec & Wines in this quarter
26 points scored by Charlie!
flowerING EPIC PERFORMANCE!
Welp, it was a fun ride, but Polec's rampant 8 or 9 points in the last minute has clinched it. Fark.
:o thought Dixon's enormous game had you've over the line Purps.. what an epic

Lol yep i laughed
Chad Wingard (PNL) and Karl Amon (Cairo) didn't play.
PNL's F2, F3 and F4 become their F1, F2 and F3. Lukas Webb moves from U1 to F4. U2, E1, E2 and E3 become U1, U2, E1 and E2. PNL's new E3, on list preferences, is now Will Brodie, given no one else from the other 17 AFL teams played and is not already selected.
Cairo's E1, E2 and E3 are now their U2, E1 and E2. On preferences, Cairo's E3 is now Nick Smith.

Of course this was the week you jinxed Jeffy and he scored 34. :P
Callum Ah Chee (Pacific), Ben Ainsworth (Cape Town), Keegan Brooksby (Buenos Aires), Brayden Fiorini (Christchurch), Brad Scheer (Cairo) didn't play.
Right.
Ah Chee was F3. F4 moves to F3. Alex Fasolo at E3 moves to F4. On preferences, Pacific's new E3 is now Matthew Leuenberger.
Ben Ainsworth was F4. Touk Miller goes from U1 to F4. U2 moves to U1. E1, E2 and E3 are now U2, E1 and E2. Cape Town's E3 on preferences is now Peter Wright.
Brooksby was R1. E1 is now R1. E2 and E3 are now E1 and E2. New E3 on preferences is now Sam Butler.

Brad Scheer was E1. E2 and E3 are now E1 and E2. E3 on preferences is now David Cuningham
Results will be up shortly.
Pretty sure we got killed haha
Ha, just realised Hammelmann might be the first player to debut without being promoted off the rookie list.
PNL had no one else to select so its perfectly acceptable. Brodie coming in at E3 makes thing a little complex though, but given the strange circumstances of not knowing of his selection, will keep it as is.
Doesn't matter though, they both scored 32.
Islanders leave Cape Town Stranded
This was an opportunity gone begging for Cape Town to claim a genuine scalp. If their bottom 3 players doubled their score to respectable ones, they would have won. Meanwhile, Tom Mitchell was incredible in the win for Pacific, but he's no Pendlebury.

Ugh. Dixon nearly did it :'( but the Thunder were well overdue to win one of these types of games, so I guess I can only b*tch to a certain extent.
