Title: Round 2 Progressive Scores
Post by: Mat0369 on March 30, 2017, 11:37:29 PM
240 from 2. Still undecided if I take Pendles VC score or punt on Danger/Rocky.

Over 120 take it. Under 120 roll the dice. On 120 at this stage of the season? I'd probably roll the dice.

5/528

Adams, Treloar, WHE, Butler and Nankervis.

4/483  or 4/603 with Captain

Pendles, Treloar, WHE, Grundy

Undecided if I take Pendles VC score of 120, its a tough call.

617/6  Pendles VC 120 probably a little low to take, Howe, WHE, Rance, Nankervis and Butler back down to earth for 65 still reasonable.

Adams, Pendles, Trealor, WHE, Nank and Caddy.

No real complaints here, had the VC on Trealor so captain Danger is ready to rock and roll.

Agree- it's becoming a bit of a joke. Don't get me wrong SC is a far more accurate reflection of a game as opposed to DT but the mugs running it this year are testing this theory..

2323- very happy with the week.
Ticks- Doc, WHE, Danger C, Gawn, SPP, Otten, JOM, Nank and Marchbank
Crosses- Shaw and Steele (however not concerned with either, especially Steele after scoring 65 and only playing on the ball in the second half)

That's massive! Must have gone deep in the forwards with Buddy, Dahl etc...

Nothing really special about the team just avoided all the bombs and had guys like Greene, Murphy, Witts, Bont, Docherty, Otten etc. Scaled down to 2424.

How SPP was scaled down is beyond me, should have been scaled to over 100!

25 touches at 92%! 14 CP, 8 clearances (highest for Port), 1 goal, and only 3 clangers.

I agree but keep in mind that he was in a game where there was some pretty amazing performances and he did score quite heavily late in a big win.

That's so good for your mate! It's funny though, I just had a quick browse through some of the tops teams and all have taken some big risks which after a couple of rounds are coming off but could easily go the other way. Ie Wines - I can't expect him to break out into uber premo this year but is averaging 120... Might average 105 this year?
JPK has his down games and most of the top teams have him at the moment...

Someone mentioned last week that the top team didn't have danger...that remains true for round 2.

The first 5-6 rounds mean little for overall as long as you can consitently pull good scores and keep in touch.
Most of the early leaders are running very high risk strategies while historically breakouts can start strongly and then peeter off as the season goes on, with the odd one pushing on all year.

It all comes down to rookies, cash generation and building ateam that will overtae the MP bolters from the start of the year.

For example, Wines, Higgins, Lloyd, Murphy, Nank are unlikely to maintain, while hanners, kennedy, shaw, rance, simpson, ablett, cripps have all had an off game already.

2321 with no real risks (besides Witts who may well pay off). Pity I had a rougher first week (thanks Rance and rookies) or I' be in a great position early. Now to save trades while others burn them (although I'm tempted to cull Steele for WHE).

2145, big thanks to Shaw, SPS, Sandi, and Bowes.

Now to get WHE into my side, and mayhaps Butler as well

Well summarised - of all these high risk high reward players, approx 50% will drop off and not be uber premos. Look at Zaharakis last year, started off on fire and then fell in a heap. Waite etc too from last year. Even Goldy - started off last year on fire, got injured and dropped where as Gawn was average for the first few rounds and then became a must have by seasons end..
Two rounds in mean nothing - as long as your premos are scoring well and you have the right rookies you're in the hunt.
