just structure really at this stage

i forgot Fyfe traded Neale to him
Good to see some different premos, nice team.
Brodie Smith scares me but apart from that looks really solid
Gawn worries me a little. We have seen over the years Rucks having a lesser season after a strong one. Jacobs springs to mind and Goldy to an extent last year. At $645k a bit of a risk imo.
Nice team though but a bit Bomber heavy. ;)

Either need Gawn or Goldy to start the season. Grundy, Martin and Sandy are other options if saving cash.
I know your a bombers fan KB but would have thought a prem out of Shaw, Simmo or Docherty would be a minimum requirement over Hurley To be at bleeding egde of scoring we are going to need min 2 of them and probably all three by season end. Also why take a risk on Brodie when you can get Murphy for less and with a lower variation, or go for a Laird, Rance, McDonald.
With centres how is it viable to not have Danger and Pendles, Superprems with runs on the board. Doing yourself out of VC/C options as well as points.
you talk like we have unlimited cash though lol

Do you not? My team is already complete! ;D
Lots of PODs here kb, I like it! :D
Caddy is tempting me, think he could take another step up at the Tigs. Greene I'm not as sure, but he had a great year and is every chance of improving again as the Giants push for the flag. Not a huge fan of Brodie Smith, but the rest looks good :)
Quite a unique side compared to most so far
Get rid of Parker - had pretty serious surgery and will miss most of the preseason
That backline is super risky too with 3 guys who haven't played in 12+ months and Smith who is looking more and more like he was a one year wonder in terms of SC scoring
I like that you're not following everyone else, but seems like there might be too many risks there, and not having both Danger and Pendles will likely put you behind
:)
Perhaps Fyfe and Hanners for Neale and Parker after which I love your midfield, ruck and forward line. We have L Ryan in common in defence which is probably good for you as I had to trade out every intended defence keeper I started with this year. Have a great season mate. ;)

loving the structure of the squad KB.
Looks great, i'm going down the same path with my Team (http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,108278.msg1822963.html#msg1822963).
Love Big Sandi but at his age i'm questioning his durability for the year.
Love how you've gone to go with some interesting picks.
the Bont over a super premo/Goldy over gawn.
very interesting, but i can see them pushing for top spots again.
good luck.
i'd love your thoughts on my Team (http://forum.fanfooty.com.au/index.php/topic,108278.msg1822963.html#msg1822963).
Some very good unique picks! One thing to consider with the defenders and forwards that you have selected is do you think they will be top 10? You dont want to be missing out on 5-10 points from the outset.

Agree with this, but JJ, Pittard, Greene and Caddy are as good a chance as any to make the top 10
this teams a bit more standard i think

Pretty solid side overall.
A few things to consider ...
Docherty will no doubt drop in price so you could get him later in the season.
If you start Grundy you'll be losing 5-10 points a game on Gawn.
The rookies you have a mainly basement price so if they aren't around round 1 you'll need to do
Some downgrading which is always stressful.
But yeah I would really look at getting Gawn in and if not going for the cheaper Sandi option.
Docherty to Laird would be a good start as they should score the same in my opinion ;)
Def: One to many prem defenders. Like I say to a lot of people I always run 3 cause every year your defenders will score the least so maybe remove one and upgrade maybe your mid for another prem
Mid: Fine but one thing to consider is your two essendon rooks on bench wont most likely play rd1 but for now it doesn't matter you can fix it up when we really get some more knowledge on the rooks.
Ruc: Like I say to a lot of people grundy won't score as much as his worth maybe go for a better option around that price or downgrade to sandi or found the money to get gawn in your team.
Fwd: Solid but just watch for Bennell during the JLT Cup

thx for feedback rookies are just place holders

i mean max gawn could drop in value just as likely as Docherty
Looks solid to me. Getting Grundy and having Swallow at M6 rather than M7 means you can bat deeper in fwds and defence.
You are well shaped to adjust when we get a better read on rookies.
Houli is at a tempting price. I won't have him as his low scores are too low but if you endure the roller coaster his average should be okay.
I'm going to give more thought to Ryder myself. With the r/f dpp and forwards generally looking horrible this year he could be a good move.
fit Gawn in by going Adams to Murphy
(http://imgur.com/l24Hhg2.jpg)
Looks solid although I prefer Hartlett to Murphy.
Looks good KB. Go with gut on Murphy v Hartlett. I am still undecided both have been in and out of my team.
Hope Bennell fires from Rd 1 for you.
Like the Bennell pick, crazy value if he picks up where he left off.
new structure based of lack of mid rookies
rookies still place holders
(http://imgur.com/yXijhII.jpg)
just a comment on structure here.
My philosophy this year is pick best value rookies trgardless of position. if that mean 6 on field rookies in def and none in mid then I will do that.. (I haven't done that its just an exaggerated example. so once JLT is done ill list my top 10 rookies that I think have most value to be made then base my structure of that.
trying to balance whole team and picking rookies just because they fit in seems a waste.
this year there doesn't look like much mid rookies up for grabs so ill have a few on field in fwd/def

100% agree with this.
your post confuses me tbh
isnt that what i'm doing?
Think that what we all are doing KB.
Setting up a structure with the 11/12 prem keepers and build team around that with rookies as place holders pending those that play in Rd 1. In my case have used a number of expensive rookies so as to allow room for adjustment.
You have a solid team to sit on pending final tweaking,
cheers Ringo
F4 through to F8 look very weak you cant have that going into the season regardless of rookie placeholders and swapping them around for ones that are playing at that price. even Ryder at F3 I think you have better options with 2 better options already in your ruck if you want backup put Cameron at R3.
Stewart/Newman in for Keefe in DEF aswell to free up some $$ I'm a pies man and don't believe he will outscore the 120k options
Good luck for the year.
