The Prelim of the teams who've been in the finals picture for years, who will make it to another Grand Final?
Please win this, Sydney! I couldn't stand the Dangerfield/Geelong wank fest if they made the Granny hahaha.

ha, ha! Wish I could give you a bit more optimism TomK but this is gonna be a slog for the Swans ... :-X :-\ ;)
Hoo boy, walking wounded but that's why they're the bloods! ;)
I am hopeful but I don't think we have the depth to cover all these recent losses - Mills, Tippett, Rohan, McVeigh ...
Only hope is if all of the top 4 (JPK, Hanners, Parker & Buddy) dominate the game - or additional efforts from Titch/Rampe or similar ...
I saw a lot of turnovers under pressure last night (Aliir Aliir, Naismith & even JPK) that led to goals for Crows, won't be able to get away with that against Cats ...
Hopeful, but really worried - hopefully the week off means that Cats are sluggish, though unlikely with all their vets ... :P ;)
Go Bloods!

Yep.. C'mon the Swannies!
swans should win. the go down to doggies in gf.
Cat's I think will win this clash. Sydney have lost some important players in a couple of hard tough games, Cats are fresh heading to the MCG, hard for Sydney now. Wouldn't say they aren't without a chance but will take something special.
Agree with Grazz - Some injury concerns may tilt Geelongs way. McVeigh will be really missed if he does not get up and a lot of Swans pace goes with Rohan. Still it is a final between 2 teams and and could still go either way.
Can not wait to see Dange, Duncan and Selwood v Hanners, JPK and Parker.
Sydney certainly with the recent form against the cats:
R16 2016: Swans by 38
R19 2015: Cats by 32
R7 2015: Swans by 43
R11 2014: Swans by 110
Those stats indicated this one will be a blow out but I hope not :X another fact, these teams have never played against each other at the MCG (under the Sydney Swans name) despite both teams being in GF contention for the better part of 10+ years! And they haven't played in a final against each other since that one in 2005...
Go Swans
go the Catters!
Swans should win. 1 man can only carry a team so far....

lol. The guy who dropped the ball when it was handballed to him last week? Haha. STAR!
Cats will win.
Hope they do anyway.
Geelong will win imo.
Lucky for the Cats they're playing a top 4 team not a bottom 4 side.
Menzel reportedly has a groin strain and is likely to miss this week now
Poor guy just cannot take a trick
Hopefully he recovers in time
26 flying to Geelong.
22 from last week with Cunners, Jones, Tippo and Rose

Nah, McVeigh and Rohan are pushing to be fit
Hendo and Bews in for Menzel (Groin) and Ruggles
Bews is such a hack - only explanation I can think of is he's in to play on Papley
Tippett and Jones in for McVeigh and Nankervis

yeah not sure why bews getitng a game over kersten or cockatoo. especially since he has replaced menzel basically as hendo replaces ruggles. As menzel is a fwd youd think cockatoo or kersten be the logical option? Obviously some kind of method behind the madness that we dont know about!

Bews is a direct replacement for Ruggles as the small defender. Hendo rumoured to play forward this week which would make sense as Menzel's replacement.
They bought in Bews both times this year to play on Betts, and seeing as Papley is coming off a bag I just assume they've brought him in to try and lock him down
Reckon Hendo plays forward for the bulk of the game too
Cats for me, so that means Swans will win.

Fairly sure he started on, but regardless there's that many interchanges these days that nobody just 'warms the pine'

yeah these days about 60% game time is about the most pine warming one does... This will be Bews!
If the Cats come out sluggish after there holidays the Swans will win if not think the Cats will power over them in a close game
Geelong v Sydney Swans at the MCG, 7.50pm AEST
NO LATE CHANGES
FINAL INTERCHANGES
Geelong: Andrew Mackie, Zac Smith, Mitch Duncan, Sam Menegola
Sydney Swans: Tom Mitchell, George Hewett, Harry Marsh, Xavier Richards
is it Selwood's 250th or something?
Anyone else think the Cats look a little odd in the Blue shorts?
Buddy looks great so far
Cats still on holidays
This is pathetic so far by the cats tbh, but at least it's better than the hawks being in the prelims
I love you Sydney
Wow
This is phenomenal footy from the Swans, Cats asleep but no one could stop this.
Keep it going Swans.
Suddenly don't feel as bad about last week now, at least we managed a couple of goals :P
If Aliir has done the knee I may cry and Turnbull should be sacked

This was exactly what I was saying all week. One game in 27 days and the game before that was a belting of Melbourne.
Good luck to the Swans next week!
Fitting the ball ends in Dangerfield's hands as Geelong's season ends. How good is Dane Rampe though :-*
Have fun surfing in your suit Paddy ;)

No he hasn't and seeing him like that makes me think he is going to retire
after Sydneys big start I said to my sister 'Swans by 38'
I completely forgot until she sent me a text 'off by 1 point'

Really had to bring that up didn't you pb :P
Rampe <3
Just re-watched this
It's funny how when a good team loses like Geelong did, all of a sudden their weaknesses just stand out so much more
They rely way too much on two players, and a team that does will never go all the way. I cannot understand for the life of me how Jed Bews continues to get games, and it's nights like this when players like Motlop really do prove their nothing but flat track bullies and are very average when the opposition is good. Scott Selwood brings nothing either (Glad we traded him)
I love watching the Swans play because like the Doggies, it's always a team effort with 22 contributing and it's hard to find any real weaknesses.
I really hope Alir is able to get up for the GF, and there's going to be 1, possibly 2 hard luck stories when McVeigh and possibly Mills return
RD stop bullying Jed Bews, what did he ever do to you ;-; #JedBewsFanClub
Well done Swans, thought the Cats would get up but after that first quarter it was all but over. Awesome start again.
Looking fwd to the Grandy should be a good contest.
