why would Freo play Ballantyne? they know he's not gonna be there next year, why not give a young guy some experience at AFL level

and if the young guy doesn't get a touch, who cares? what have they got to lose

Sheridan has done a great job on Sloane, following on from Barlow's success earlier this year in the similar role.
He (Sheridan) has also kicked 3 goals in the last two matches which is handy for a team struggling to hit the scoreboard.
Also means that Barlow may be more likely to be moved on at the end of the year if Sheridan's success continues.
